Texas weather: Local rain and flash flooding

Central Texas has experienced an unusually wet summer, with heavy rainfall in June and July replacing the typical triple-digit heat. While the rain has helped alleviate drought conditions in several counties, it has also caused flooding, canceled activities, and created hazardous road conditions due to high rainfall rates.
