At the time, Raffensperger said he felt pressure from Trump and denied any widespread election fraud. He continues to deny it to this day. Now, Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis brought state criminal charges again than former President Trump and others in 2023 for conspiracy to overturn the election. But her prosecution, Brett, was eventually derailed completely after it was revealed she had an intimate relationship with the top prosecutor on her team and it could have tainted the case. Late last year, a judge dismissed the case in its entirety. Now, Brett, last month, the Justice Department sued Fulton County, Georgia, seeking access to 2020 voting records after state officials allegedly failed to respond to a subpoena. Fox News has learned the head of the FBI's Atlanta field office was recently forced out in recent days. But it's unclear, Brett, if this is all related. To require half of the American people who have no passports to spend $165 or $225 as a poll tax so they can vote in November, do you think that's American? I don't. But, I mean, Senator Mike Lee has said that there's ways around this. Put them in writing, and I can tell you this. When you put them in writing, it becomes impossible to ask people to make this kind of sacrifice for 77 examples over years and millions and millions of voters. It just is not a problem. It's the president's fascination with election reform. It's not necessary. Thank you, Senator. But why not have the safeguards in place? I mean, just to ensure it. 77 instances. So he insists non-citizen voting isn't a real problem. He wants the Save Act buried, but the House just moved anyway, advancing inside a must-pass national security bill.
