When creating a snare drum solo from scratch, there is a lot that one must consider . Can the drummer play it ? Does it transfer correctly ? Do all of the notes line up and does it educate drummer? Is it too flashy or not flashy enough? Is it groovy or does it even sound good ? These are questions one must ask themselves when creating a snare drum solo or a BYOS solo from scratch . This particular snare drum solo was created for a snare drum contest where the participants had to read the music and play it over an instrumental BYOS track . This snare solo can be used on any drumline , Wgi, DCI or HBCU drumline .
