Over the past several decades, the global medical field has been striving to develop treatments for degenerative diseases. As of now, there's no definitive cure. These cells can be cultured to become various types of cells, which can then be used to restore damaged tissues to their original, healthy condition. This marks a new hope across all medical disciplines, significantly advancing the capability to treat various diseases. Currently, leading research institutions worldwide are accelerating studies to explore how stem In 2013, Tomasazhi University collaborated with the Faculty of Medicine to establish a Center of Excellence in Stem Cell Research and Innovation, led by a team of expert researchers in diverse fields of biomedical science. Over the past decade, the center has pioneered new discoveries in stem cell research, publishing Additionally, it has established strong academic and research partnerships in stem cell science, with leading institutions both domestically and internationally. The Center of Excellence in Stem Cell Research and Innovation currently focuses on utilizing material science technology to advance stem cell cultivation. The objective is to develop advanced bone tissue replacements, aiming to restore skeletal tissues damaged by various diseases. In addition, mesenchymal stem cells and endothelial progenitor cells are cultured alongside cancer cells to simulate cancer tissue from patients in laboratories. This is done to select the most effective treatment methods for each individual cancer patient. The center is dedicated to improving research capabilities and promoting innovations in by evolving into a fully integrated advanced research center equipped with laboratories accredited under Good Manufacturing Practice GMP standards for producing stem cells and their derived products. Furthermore, it features state-of-the-art laboratories equipped for the advanced analysis of tissues and biological samples from patients. In addition to its primary research focus, the center provides extensive training programs to enhance students' experiences in stem cell research from institutions both locally and internationally. It also introduces the first international master's and doctoral programs in stem cell biology and technology in Thailand, marking a milestone in this field. The stem cell biology and technology program explores the study of stem cells to unveil new medical possibilities. It provides students with hands-on learning opportunities to refine their skills, preparing them for future careers. A friendly learning atmosphere that encourages creativity is also committed to ensuring maximum effectiveness in the teaching and learning process.
