Hey good morning everybody it's Bill from Competition Cars and now we're going to go over the
engine bay interior and rear hatch area of this 1969 Ford LTD Country Squire 390 V8. Now what we
have here is a very original car unrestored and if you look at this engine bay you can tell it's
been pretty well preserved. It's not super shiny and brand new but this is just how a 70,000 mile
car should look from 1969. Very honest original car. I've driven this car a couple times. The
engine has plenty of power so I can't wait to do the driving video to show you that.
You're going to see this car on YouTube first. It will be live on Bring a Trailer soon.
I just love that people have made the effort to hold on and preserve these cars.
Coming around to the interior. Again this is unrestored. Some paint work that's it. There's
nothing been redone or anything like that. Teakwood steering wheel. We're going to call
the horn nut work and it's got the thing where you squeeze but that's kind of deteriorated so
it's not there anymore. I mean you can't really tell by looking at it but if you feel it you can
tell that little rubber piece is missing. Dash excellent. Visors and headliner excellent.
Seats are excellent. Carpets look great. Door cards look great. All the faux wood's in good
shape but even like the rubber molding on the doors. A little cracking but that's held up
incredibly well. There's the door jam tag with the VIN which matches what's on the front glass here
as well. This is your control for the light. You can kind of turn that light and go up and down
with it in and out which is cool. Again it does have working factory air. When we do the driving
video I'll go over all the equipment make sure the radio works and stuff like that.
78,737 miles. We do believe that to be correct based on the condition. I'm waiting on the
paperwork to come in so I may have some actual paperwork to back that up. That's for your trailer
hitch. We'll touch every button when we do the driving video to make sure that if anything
doesn't work that you guys know about it. Back seat again everything looks good. Rubber is original
not restored. And again for a station wagon I love the hideaway headlights and look at that steering
wheel. It just doesn't look like something you'd put in a station wagon. It's cool. Station wagons
are generally cool nowadays but the fact that the way this one looks and the way they designed it I
think is really cool. Now back here this is pretty neat. This is your back area. You got your third
row. That's a factory Ford checkerboard that came with the car. It's metal. Little fold-out table.
So if you're doing a tailgate or a picnic or whatever your board you can play checkers.
All the shop manuals. Several there. Everything back here is tidy. Looks good. Again it's 70
something thousand miles. Looks just like it should. No rot. No rust. Everything's in place.
Hatch. Oh that looks good. Again I don't see any rust anywhere. Very cool looking luggage rack.
Door cards good. Door jams good. Second row looks great. Gonna have an ashtray. It's a 70s.
Just a nice example guys. You can hop in this car hit the key and drive it
and leave it just like it is. It's just it's just nice. Just a nice nice unit.
Love love love this color combination. Jams. Factory mats. You know stuff like this. Got a
little bit of dry plastic pieces on the seat belt covers. But overall the interior's held
up incredibly well. Air pressures and stuff like that. So there it is. You're going to see this
again on YouTube. This car will be live on Bring A Trailer very soon. We're excited to bring it to
you. If you have any stories about these cars. Any road trips you took. Please tell them. I love
hearing the old stories. So check it out. If you have any questions let me know. Have a great day
guys.
