Do you believe it? From just single small Christmas cactus cutting, I propagated it
into an entire bush covered in vibrant blooms. After one month, each cutting had grown an
astonishingly long white root system, and the first flower buds appeared all at once.
And it all started with just a roll of toilet paper, without any rooting hormone or any
complicated techniques. Please watch the entire process I did. First, I prepared a few healthy
Christmas cactus cuttings. These are cuttings that do not yet have a complete root system,
so I will help them quickly grow new roots and develop strongly. Next, I used toilet paper to
wrap around the base of each cutting. After spraying, the paper layer helps retain moisture
around the base, preventing it from drying out quickly during the rooting process.
I carefully worked on each cutting one by one to achieve the best results. Now I prepare a
plastic container with a lid and some moss to create a moisture retaining environment.
I spread an even layer of moss at the bottom of the container. This layer of moss will help
maintain stable humidity inside the container. Then, I gently placed each Christmas cactus cutting
on top of the moss layer. Next, I started lightly misting all the Christmas cactus cuttings and the
moss. I did not make the moss too wet, but only created a moderately humid environment.
This humidity will help stimulate the base to form new roots.
After finishing, I closed the lid tightly and secured it firmly.
I placed the container in a cool place with gentle light and maintained stable humidity.
Every three days, I opened the container and misted it to keep the moss and the plant bases
moist. After one month, I opened the lid of the container to check the results. The small
Christmas cactus cuttings had changed remarkably, becoming greener, healthier, and full of vitality.
Even more surprisingly, many pink flower buds had started to appear on the branches.
I never thought these small cuttings could grow so quickly,
but what surprised me the most was when I removed the paper layer from the base. I continued removing
the paper from each remaining cutting, and it was amazing. All the cuttings had grown new roots.
Not only that, each cutting had flower buds that were ready to bloom.
Once the plant had a strong root system, I started preparing the growing medium for planting.
I used a mixture consisting of 50% garden soil and 50% pumice.
I mixed these two ingredients together evenly to create a well-aerated environment.
I chose a pot with drainage holes to prevent the plant from becoming waterlogged.
Then I gently placed the plant in the center of the pot.
I spread the growing medium around the roots, then gently secured the plant.
After planting, I let the plant rest for a few hours so the roots could
adapt to the new environment. I used one liter of warm water at around 70 degrees Celsius,
and added one teaspoon of pure coffee without any flavoring.
I stirred the mixture well and let it cool completely.

It is wonderful that we can communicate with each other from all around the world.
After it cooled, I filtered out the coffee grounds to obtain a cleaner solution.
Next, I diluted it with an additional 500 millimeters of clean water.
After finishing, I poured the solution into a spray bottle for easier use.
I sprayed a light and even mist over the entire surface of the leaves as well as the growing
medium around the plant. This helps the plant absorb nutrients better and maintain the necessary
moisture during the growth process. I placed the plant in a location with indirect light.
Avoiding strong sunlight helps the plant develop more stably.
After one month, the small cactus cuttings had developed strong roots and growing well.
From small cuttings with the right method and patience,
you can create a beautiful Christmas cactus pot.
Thank you for watching the entire process. See you again in the next videos.
