So you think coming to America is easy? Well, there you go. It's never that easy, but you get to do it. So after 32 hours of traveling all the way from Africa to Alaska. So guys, welcome to Alaska. Welcome to America. Welcome to the land of the brave. Welcome to Alaska. Yeah, so guys, I'm leaving and this is a very bittersweet moment for me because yeah, I get nervous all the time. It gets me, you know, I think I feel like I get nervous because I'm leaving my home and I'm going to live in the ocean somewhere for many, many months. So this is going to be a six month contract. Sometimes I confuse it with not wanting to go there, but I know that I have to go. I have to go and make money. I have to make a living. I have to continue investing and inspiring you guys. I think it's because I always miss my daughter when I go and I'm going to live in the ocean for six months. So come with me, journey with me. Let's go. It takes two and a half full suitcases for me to go to work with all the clothes that I need and everything that I need. So I wear a lot of suits. As you can see, this bag here is full of suits and this bag is full of suits. And of course, I've got some other stuff as well that I'm going to be wearing while I'm gone. But yeah, this is this is the reality. So every time I pick these bags, it never gets easier. Yes, you're excited for another contract, but you're also leaving the people you love behind. That's the sacrifice of a thousand crew members every single year. Most people only see the destinations. They don't see the goodbyes. They don't see the airport. They don't see months away from home. That's the real cruise ship life, guys. Now, as I'm traveling to my new country, my new family and my new chapter, I always get back to great memories that I've created right here in Africa, especially in the rurals with my friends Shelton and Charmaine down in Zimbabwe, and also some other instances that I never thought I would come across. Even great times that I've had here in Cape Town and, of course, my wonderful stay in Johannesburg. This time, the destination is Alaska, a place I've been looking forward to experience for the long time, the new scenery, the passengers, the memories. Even after years at sea, there's always something new waiting. Yeah, man, it's never easy leaving home, man. Leaving home is the hardest thing. But we have to go and chase those opportunities. You have to go and chase the money. See, guys, how many bags it needs for me to go away? Three. There's one more inside. All right, looks like we are looking good. And this one here, I'll just put it right. Yeah, so guys, I feel like half of my life is on the airport. So I'm actually flying to Germany with Lufthansa. So we're flying Lufthansa today to go to Germany. So let's roll. Really, when we talk about cruise ships, what a lot of people don't see is the waiting at the airport. You wait a lot and the waiting. So, for example, if you have an international flight, you have to be at the airport at least three hours before. Now, that depends on the size of the airport. If it's a massive airport, you want to give yourself at least four hours. If it's a smaller airport, you could get away with one hour. But usually you want to give yourself between two to three hours. That's a good time. We're actually flying Lufthansa. How you say? Lufthansa. All right, we're flying to Germany. OK, so the first flight is going to be 11 hours, 25 minutes. My next flight, however, from Germany to Seattle is going to be 10 hours, 25 minutes. This here is my passport. And then the next flight, I have three flights, guys. The next flight is going to be two hours, 15 minutes. That is going to be from Seattle to Alaska to Ketchikan. So I have about 25 hours of flight time. But then I also have waiting just like this. I have layovers, right? So in total, it's probably I'm going to be traveling for about 30 hours and some more waiting. But I have some good news. So I just discovered and I found this today. If you have a FNB black card, a private wealth card, whenever you go to an airport, check this out. There is a lounge that is reserved for, I guess, private wealth people. And I didn't even know about this. Right now, I just stumbled upon it. And this is crazy because you have places to go and shower. You have places to eat. You're going to have some beverages and drinks and snacks and food for absolutely free, guys. I was about to go to a restaurant downstairs to buy some food. And I just got here. They asked me, can I see your card? Yeah, guys, let me take advantage of this. The food is free. So I've got to enjoy myself. What else can I get here? So much. Look, I even got a free coffee, guys. As exciting as it is, leaving home never becomes. Airports have become part of my life. Every flight represents another day. I'm not good at this stuff. But yeah, that's the guy. Thank you, sir. Thank you. Just finished up with the security checkpoint number two. This was the second one from Cape Town. So I just finished that. That took at least 30 minutes to get that done. And then I'm going to go to my gate. I have five hours to be waiting for me here. And I'm going to head over to Seattle. So yeah, this is the journey. So it's a lot of logistics that happens when you travel. People do travel videos, but they don't talk about the logistics. So yeah, let's go. And I need a shower. Okay, so on this side here, private lounge is no connector. I need to have American Express, Platinum, or I need to be flying business card. And I'm doing none of those. I'm a criminal. I'm not going to spend that much money. However, I'm going to sit here. You know, it's not like I'm not used to it. And some more waiting, waiting and waiting. Walking, walking. Life of airports. Walk a lot, wait a lot. You learn to be very patient, actually. Am I patient? I don't know. Who knows? You'll miss birthdays. You'll miss holidays. You'll miss home. But you'll also see places most people only dream about. All right, looks like everyone is headed to the gate now. Five hours later. I've been waiting here for five hours. It's time to go to Seattle. I've been on a plane for about 30 hours and that's no fun. And now I'm on a ferry right here and I'm headed to my hotel. It's really nice to be able to go and rest after almost 38 hours of traveling. So I really had enough. I want to rest. What about that? All right. So guys, so this is probably the biggest room I'll ever be in the next six months.
