Canon creator Nathan Leone shares his recommended travel-friendly camera kit while filming in Ireland. He highlights three versatile Canon RF zoom lenses that balance performance, durability, and portability, making them ideal for unpredictable weather and various travel scenarios.
What's up y'all? I'm Canon creator Nathan Leone and this week we're in Ireland.
Home to beautiful countrysides, rugged coastlines, and ancient castles.
Spring is here on the Emerald Isle and the landscapes are green and full of new life.
But that also means a lot of variable stormy weather. And when I'm shooting in weather like
that, I prefer to slim down my pack and work with the lighter travel-friendly camera kit.
So for those of you who travel often, here are three approachable versatile zoom lenses for
travel that provide durability, versatility, performance, and portability all at an
approachable price point. Up first, the Canon RF 16-28mm f2.8 IS SDM lens. This wide-angle
zoom lens is perfect for shooting landscapes and wide establishing shots. And its combination of
in-lens image stabilization, image quality, and weather sealing makes it a no-brainer for travel.
Next, we have the Canon RF 28-70mm f2.8 IS SDM lens. This versatile mid-range zoom lens is nearly
identical to the RF 16-28mm in regards to size, weight, and build quality. And it also has the
same great features like in-lens image stabilization and weather sealing. However, what's different
about this lens is that it provides a super useful 28-70mm focal range that feels natural
to the eye and is perfect for capturing lifestyle content and human subjects in frame,
while still offering a wide enough focal length at 28mm for powerful landscape shots.
And last, but certainly not least, we have the Canon RF 70-200mm f4 L IS USM lens.
Canon's smallest and lightest 70-200mm lens ever created. But don't let its small size fool you.
It still provides beautiful compression and dynamic photo and video content you expect from
a focal range like this. And it's also a Canon L-series lens, so you're getting unrivaled build
quality and weather sealing that won't let you down, along with great features like in-lens
image stabilization. So there you have it. Those are three approachable, versatile zoom lens options
for travel that combine portability, practicality, and performance, and could become your next go-to
zoom lens option for travel. I'm Canon creator Nathan Lee Allen. Thanks so much for watching,
and let's go create something awesome. Now, if you'll excuse me,
I have an important side quest at the local pub. Cheers, y'all.
