Ever seen those 'save if ur asian 🇰🇷🇯🇵' clickbaits on Pinterest, or any other social media platforms? ────୨ৎ────
Well — today — Keiko (𝕯𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖊) will be commenting on the controversy and racism she has came across on platforms — regarding 𝓐𝓼𝓲𝓪𝓷𝓼 — so if you're one — listen uppp xD ────୨ৎ────
The speaker critiques the \"save if you want to be Asian\" trend on social media, arguing that it promotes a narrow, unrealistic definition of Asian beauty. They highlight how the trend focuses almost exclusively on East Asian countries like Korea, Japan, and China, while ignoring the diversity of other Asian nations and relying heavily on plastic surgery and filters.
Hi pretties, welcome back to this channel. So today I decided to give you guys a look on racism.
Well, more like the say but you want to be Asian thing that has been really popular
on social media. Some people call it racism, while some people call it it's just a desire.
Well, let's see my insights on it. While currently on Pinterest, I have been seeing some people
making pins like save if you want to be Asian or save if you want to be Korean. This got me thinking
the pins that say save if you want to be Asian only contain first of all China, Japan, Korea.
Yes, like seriously, they only contain China, Korea and Japan. What about Vietnam? What about
the Philippines? What about Singapore? Aren't those Asian countries too? Why are you only
containing China, Korea and Japan? It's just not fair, right? What about Taiwan? It can also
be considered a country, but the main point is they don't include it. Why? China has douyin
and they're always having really crazy trends. And then for Korea, yes, K-pop and then
Japan, probably anime. But what about Vietnam? The food is good, honestly, and it's not like
Vietnam lacks beauties or anything. Like, yeah, it's not like Vietnam doesn't have girls who are
pretty. And let me say this. I love Korea. I love Korean people, but most of them just like get
plastic surgery or something. Like, I don't know, like one young, according to. Yeah, like she looks
really different. So people are saying she got plastic surgery. And honestly, I can't argue like
she does look really different. I don't know if that's because of the age or whether or not she
actually got plastic surgery. But of course, many people get it. And that's why right now we're
watching a K-pop performance and we're watching triplets, even though they seriously and literally
have different surnames and they aren't even related. How? Tell me, like, how are we seeing
duplicates, duplicates, duplicates of one single girl on one stage, like three duplicates of a girl
on one stage in the same K-pop group? Like, is that beauty? I know. But like, if I have if I have
enough money, I will probably be I will be able to get plastic surgery, too. It's just I don't know.
Like, yeah. Anyway, so there are two aspects, as far as I know, that make up K-pop or Korea.
Basically, what people think of when someone mentions Korea. All right. So first of all,
K-pop, like, can anyone say that they don't think of K-pop the moment someone mentions Korea? Because
that's what I think it is. Like, someone would say Korea and I would immediately think of
Like, I wouldn't be thinking of anime or those normal people in Korea that don't have plastic
surgery or unrealistic looks. I would immediately think of Blackpink in your area and dive into
And then goes K-beauty. Well, yeah, glass skin, the porcelain glass skin, which I swear does not
look real. I feel like it's just foundation. I really feel like it's just makeup and really good
skincare. But basically, yeah, like K-pop and K-beauty are basically what most people think
of when they mention Korea. When kids mention Korea, however, they are mostly thinking about
the food or maybe the traditional Korean clothes that look very good, I would like to say.
But teenagers, they know Blackpink is famous. They know BTS is famous and they know
I have many fans and they know PENTAGON is basically adoring Wonyoung right now. Like,
if Wonyoung were sad, she would just go on PENTAGON and people would just, yeah, compliment her.
Anyways, guys, so here is what I see. Look at this pin right here. Save this if your dream
country is Korea. Korea. Bro, what? Yeah, I'm gonna get that hurt. Save if you are Korean.
Oh, to be Asian pretty. Girl, Asian pretty. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Like, seriously.
Oh, to be Asian pretty. At least you didn't mention what kind of Asian. And then,
save if you're a G.L.I.P. or, oh my god, save if you're a Christian K-pop fan. It's all save if.
Help. It's all save if. Now, let's search Korea booze. Like, Korean booze, I think.
All right. Let's try save if you want to be Asian. Great. Save if you're Asian.
Save if you're born in Asia and that's an Asia boo. Save if you're born in Asia and not one of
those. I want to be Asian in MS. Save if you are Asian. Save if you are an Asian. Save if you're
help. Help. Yeah. Okay. I might save if I'm Asian, but let's search save if you want to be Asian.
Korea, Japan, China. Let's see what it says. Oh, this is the one I want. Here. Save if you live in
Japan, Korea, China. Okay. Help. Where's Vietnam, huh? Or is Vietnam too small so you don't mention
her? I mentioned my precious Vietnam. Tell me. This is so. Look. People, when you're Singapore,
girl, it's all Asian. It's all Asian. Okay. Like, it's all Asian. It's all Asian people. And
why are you acting like Singapore, Singapore and IK, Indian girlies are not Asian.
Okay. I don't care, girl. I don't care right now. I don't care. Why are there so many Korea
boos right now? And when I was young, like maybe like watching some movies,
people are always like being mean to people who are not Asian, who are not Western. Like,
welcome to an American high school. And people will be like, you know, she's Asian. She has bad
English. And then now, that still happens. Racism still happens. But open your phone and someone
will be happily posting about getting plastic surgery to look like one. Yeah. Yeah. Like,
seriously. So here's the main point. I'm not saying that Asians are not pretty. And I'm not
saying that Westerners are not pretty. But just tell me, why do you, why are your pins only
consisting China, Korea, and Japan? Like, hello, I can't show you five pretty Vietnamese girls
how pretty they are. Like, I swear. Don't blame me for this. But all right, I found one. It's
definitely fitting the standards. Like, how can you say this is not pretty? You can say I'm not
pretty. But I don't care. Here's the main point. Like, so many girls, Vietnamese girls are pretty.
And yet, sorry, but that doesn't include you. Like, how is this not pretty? And
yeah, people are just saying Korea, Korea, Korea, Korea, and then Japan and China. Okay. Honestly,
I feel like people are just more Korea and Japanese dudes right now. Like, they don't
love China. It's just a popular Asian country. I honestly don't even know where we are right now,
because I was beat at the beginning. Right now, I'm actually starting to share what I think on
this thing. Like, why are they acting like Korean and Japanese girls, or sometimes Chinese girls
are the only pretty ones. Vietnam has naturally pretty girls. Okay. I kind of want to get angry
here. So, all right, I got one. And I'm sorry, but if you're actually about thinking Korean people
are so, so pretty, answer this. Yeah, this is the kind of girl that appears on Pinterest,
but this is the kind of girl that no one will even mention. Of course, Lisa Yoo. Yeah, I know.
Um, celebrities? Let's try searching Won Young. Wait, before all that, look at this.
Wait, honestly, she looks so much prettier, but this one, she just has wrinkles. Let's search
Won Young. People are saying that she got plastic surgery. Honestly, it does look quite different.
Her lips are a bit more smiling, and her eyebrows, and then her nose, you can see a clear difference.
Oh, wait. Our beautiful Jang Won Young got plastic surgery at 14. 14, yes. She got plastic surgery
at the age younger than Sailors Matter, younger than my cousin, and definitely younger than
K.O. Theory, which is my roommate, by the way. Honestly, she does look pretty cute,
and I'm not trying to say that she doesn't have a choice of what she cannot decide what she can
do with her body. It's just that, I don't know, like, people are saying safe if you want to be
Korean, or safe if you want to be Asian, and then consisting the China, Japan, and Korean flags.
While those Korean idols or idols and Chinese celebrities all got plastic surgery, like,
most of them do. And why would you want to be Asian? Why would you want to be Chinese,
Japanese, or Korean if those mini or pretty girls you usually see online all use filters
or have plastic surgery? Anyway, so thank you for watching this video,
and tell me in the comments down below whether or not you think this safe if you want to be
Asian thingy is legit or not, because honestly, I think it's so racist. Asian. Yeah, like,
they're treating Japan and Korea as the only Asian things, and they want to be Asian because
they want to be Japanese and Korean, not because they want to be Chinese or Vietnamese or Indian.
Like, help! This is so controversial.
