Man Utd v Wrexham | Highlights

Helsinki, then, is the venue for Manchester United's opening pre-season game. The Red Dragons of Wrexham are the opponent, and that's a great effort from Joshua Xherxey. Joshua Xherxey, snapshot, doesn't think about it, just lets go, really well controlled. We talk often, don't we, during a Premier League season about Manchester United coming up against a well-drilled side. There's a brilliant ball through to Luke Shaw. Shaw's got options in the middle as well, looks to pull it back, he's going to win the corner. Great run from Luke Shaw and a brilliant find for him as well. Yeah, perfect timing. Now it's delivery. Oh, header off the crossbar. A misdirected header from Sam Smith, of all people. Hunter Thomason gets it back here, Thomason, as well, to find a gap. Smith, Andre Santos, again, covering the ground at the back. Been a real highlight from him in the 38 minutes we've been watching him, Ben. Yeah, he has. Yeah, he's got across the ground really well and seen some important positions to take up to stop any further danger. Thomason just went the wrong way there for me, was on his left foot, and was a pass out wide. Not sure if it was Aaron James that was out there, but he missed it. That's a good ball across to the back post, and Wrexham open the scoring, slid through the penalty area, and as soon as it went all the way through the box, there was really only going to be one outcome. Sam Smith to turn home from close range, United 0 Wrexham 1. Clipped in here, and as it goes through Maguire's legs, yeah, as soon as it gets past Harry Maguire there, it arrows through the box. Yeah, he's just held himself off at the back post, hasn't he, Sam Smith? That's a good ball in behind chance here, maybe, for Davis Keelor. Darn, tries to slide it past Witek, and a good one-footed save from the Manchester United stopper, Gore. On the run again, Dan Gore, and he's going to pull his back brilliantly. Well, the run from Dan Gore is fantastic, and it's fired across. Needs dealing with by Danny Ward. Clever from Harry Amas, gives himself the space, flicked in, cannot be polished off by Ethan Wheatley. Well, he's had a really good game, Harry Amas, both offensively and defensively. It's a lovely little fake there to put the cross in first time, and Ethan Wheatley gets across his man, just couldn't generate enough power.
