In today’s video, I’m taking you back to one of my absolute favourite regions in Europe: the Dolomites. We spent a few peaceful early summer days at Cyprianerhof, a beautiful family-run hotel in the heart of the Tiers Valley, surrounded by nature and overlooking the magnificent Rosengarten peaks.

Hello everyone and welcome back to one of my absolute favorite regions in Europe, the Dolomites.
It's been a while since I brought you to a few days in the Dolomites and this time I'm staying
at the Sipriyanekhov Hotel in the heart of the Tirs Valley, surrounded by nothing but nature
and with amazing views of the Rosengarten peaks. I stayed at the Sipriyanekhov for a couple of
nights for an early summer escape in the first days of July and the weather was just amazing.
The days always started with an amazing light and I always had breakfast on the terrace outside
with amazing views, delighting on a vast array of options to kick-start days filled with mountain
exploration and relaxation in the large spa of the hotel.
This family-run hotel that started as a very small alpine hotel back in the 70s
has been enlarged over the years as a result of being a mandatory stop for those exploring
the Rosengarten and Karitsa region and just recently it has acquired its current form.
Our suite had a very spacious balcony overlooking the mountains and the valley.
Inside it was also very spacious and comfortable with modern finishes but with that welcoming
alpine style heavily featuring wooden materials that bring not only warmth but also a beautiful
spruce scent that makes you feel like you are right in the woods. On our first morning we decided
to stay around the hotel enjoying its relaxation facilities. We started with a couple of hours
swimming in the natural swimming pond and enjoying the sun and the natural sounds all
around while reading a book. The hotel has evolved into a haven of relaxation and tranquility where
you can fully recharge both in summer and winter after going for a hike, a climb or to the snowy
slopes thanks to its indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, the many relaxation rooms and the
vast spa area with both indoor saunas and baths but also an outdoor area with views of the
mountains. I am leaving you with a small overview of these spaces before their opening time as this
is a no textile area and naturally I wouldn't be able to show it while in use. After a morning
fully winding down from the trip to the mountains we had a quick light lunch out on the terrace
before going for an afternoon hike around the area of the hotel to enjoy the views.
In summer the hotel organizes daily guided hikes to some of the most amazing hiking trails in the
region but we decided to go on a gentler hike starting at the hotel towards the small but
beautiful Fun Lega. After a climb that is relatively easy but still a bit tiring we
reached a small lake that beautifully reflects the Rosengarten peaks in the distance. After a
few photos we decided to just sit on a bench and fully admire the quiet and still landscape
for an hour or so.
As the afternoon started coming to an end we returned all the way down to the hotel
to get ready for dinner. Dinners are always different at Cyprianerhof,
the menu changes every day and you always have meat, fish and vegetarian options to choose from.
All the food we had throughout our stay was delicious, at dinner time especially
each dish was beautifully plated and very flavorsome made with local and fresh ingredients.
As dinner went along the light passed a window outside started dimming down and the last sun
rays cast a beautiful golden charm on the Rosengarten peaks so as soon as we finished
I decided to go for a short walk and admire the views in the midst of the green pasture
right above the hotel for a perfect ending of our first day in the Dolomites.
The second morning started just like the first one, quiet, tranquil and with beautiful weather,
perfectly inviting to another day divided between exploration and relaxation. After breakfast we
climbed up on a cabrio cable car that starts right across the road from the hotel and takes
you all the way up to the King Lauchen hike. Lake Karetza which has some of the most incredible
colors in the whole of the lakes in the Dolomites is best visited early in the morning although even
then there are already quite a few people around but regardless of when you go it is always a
mesmerizing sight with its turquoise waters surrounded by spruce trees with the Latmach
mountains on the back. After walking all around the lake we caught the cable car back to King
Lauchens and this time went all the way to the top where the hike starts but decided to just sit
for lunch with these amazing views of the whole landscape around and down below. As we finished
lunch the weather started turning a little so we thought it would be best to go back down to the
hotel and enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the pool and in the spa. On our second dinner the food was
once again delicious and I even had a vast dessert buffet which is always a highlight for us but we
kind of rushed through this as the last sun rays were once again casting its beautiful colors over
the landscape and I couldn't help but go for another walk and some more photos. I hope you
enjoyed coming back to the Dolomites with me and I hope to have infused you with a little bit more
of my love for this region. There are so many beautiful places to discover in the Dolomites
and if you want a few relaxing days surrounded by quietude and nature
then the Cyprianehof is definitely one of the best hotels to do so. See you next time!
