Okay guys we're out on the range and I set the scope up in the garage last night
and the eye relief isn't right. So what I need to do is I need to I'm going to go ahead and remove it.
I'm going to go ahead and put it a little bit further forward. Okay and what we want to do
is we want to slide it up against slide it forward. Go ahead and make these hand tight.
Okay now as far as these torque setting goes on these rings it's 100 inch pounds
and you want to go ahead and do it with lube on. It's not a dry torque setting it's a wet torque
setting. So now that I got it hand tight I'm going to go ahead and use my tools here
and go ahead and torque this down. Do one and then the other. Okay and now what I like to do
is in order to settle it in I'm going to go ahead and take and give it a little wrap.
Okay sounds barbaric but check this out. I got another eighth of a turn out of it just by
settling it in and the last thing you want to have that happen is when you're out hunting or
you take a fall or you're out at a match and you bump it up against a barricade or something like
that and all of a sudden you have this massive scope shift and zero shift and you don't understand
why. So that's why I do that.
