Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe video features a magic trick where the Ace through Four of Hearts appear to flip over one by one, eventually revealing that the backs of the cards and the entire deck have changed color. The creator provides a full performance followed by a detailed tutorial on the setup and execution, concluding with a giveaway announcement for signed card decks.
Hello again everybody. It's been five months that I've been away.
I apologize for the long delay. Today I'm going to show you a revised performance
and tutorial of a trick I did back in 2010. At the end of the video I'll be
announcing the winners of the signed deck giveaway from my last video
plus there's going to be another signed deck giveaway. So for this trick I'm
going to be using my purple bicycle playing cards and
we'll give the cards a little mix and what I need
are the ace through four of hearts. So let's find the ace through four of
hearts. There's the four of hearts. There's
the come on two of hearts three of hearts
and I need the ace. There's the ace of hearts.
So I've got the four three two and ace of hearts and we're going to take the
four cards. We'll set the deck down right over here
and now the ace the two the three and the four.
I'm going to make these cards flip over one at a time.
All I have to do is give them a little spin and just like that
the ace flips over. I have the two the four
the three. Now I'm going to make the two flip over with a little spin.
I have the three the ace the two flips over.
Now I'm going to make the three flip over with a little spin.
I have the four the two. There's the three and the ace
And finally, I'm going to make the 4 flip over. With a little spin, there's the Ace, the 3, the 4, and the 2.
So, I have the 2, 4, 3, and Ace. All the faces can be seen, but the backs of the cards have now turned green.
Not only that, just a sec, I'll just change the entire deck.
Okay, this is a fun trick that gets great reactions, and it's not too difficult.
What you're going to need are two decks of cards. So, if you don't have purple and green, you could use red and blue,
or any two decks where the faces are the same and the backs are different.
You're going to take a box and one card, the 4 of hearts, from one deck, and the other deck in full, all 52 cards.
So, you're going to take the 4 of hearts, place it on top of that deck, and set all the cards in the box.
And now you're ready to begin.
As you take the cards out, you want to make sure you take them out in a block so you don't flash.
You set the box down right in full view, and what I did was I mixed the cards by holding onto the back card and peeling the cards off the front.
So, I'm sliding the back card down and then just peeling the cards off the front with my thumb.
And I can do this a couple of times, and what happens is this purple card still stays right at the top.
Now, I'm going to take out the Ace through 4 of hearts.
So, you go through the deck and you find the Ace of hearts, the 2 of hearts, the 3 of hearts, and the 4 of hearts.
Take the cards and put them in 4-3-2 Ace order.
You turn the deck sideways so they don't see this.
You're going to push the top card off and then pull it back, and you're going to catch a little break right below the purple card.
So now, you're going to say, let's take the Ace 2-3-4.
You're going to square them up and steal away that purple card.
But as you do this now, you're not going to pull these cards away.
You're going to do what's called a wrist kill.
So, you're going to turn this hand over so you do not flash the green.
I now have the purple card with these 4 cards.
I turn these cards over, set the rest of the green deck down right over here.
And now, holding the cards in a Biddle grip with my index finger and my thumb, I can peel them off one at a time showing the Ace 2-3-4.
And this is a double with the purple 4.
Now, what you're going to do is you're going to take the 3 and the 4 and you're going to sandwich them right between the Ace and the 2.
Just like that.
Now, you say, at one at a time I'm going to make the cards flip over.
Again, holding them in a Biddle grip, peel off the 2, the 4.
Say, this is the Ace and there's the 3.
So, the Ace is flipped over.
Again, you've got 2 cards right here so the Ace is really right there.
Square them up.
Spin them.
Say, now I'm going to make the 2 flip over.
Again, holding them in a Biddle grip, slide off the 3, the Ace.
Say, that's the 2 and there's the 4.
Again, square them up.
Now, you're going to make the 3 flip over.
There's the 4.
There's the 2.
There's the 3.
There's the Ace.
Again, you're holding a double.
And finally, you're going to make the 4 flip over.
And this time, you can show the 4.
So, you say, there's the 3, the Ace, the 3, the 4, and the 2.
Now, this is a double.
So, what I do here is I use the 2 to flip over and show the 4.
So, now you can say, I have the 2, 4, 3, and Ace.
Square the cards up.
Now, you're going to do what's called an Ascanio Spread.
Holding the cards in a Biddle grip here, you're going to peel off the top card, the bottom card,
and then with your index finger, the next card on the bottom.
So, it's 1, 2, 3.
And you're going to pull these 2 cards out.
So, you're going to hold on to the whole pack and you're going to peel off 3 cards.
1, 2, 3.
And you're going to show the 4 cards just like this.
So, you show the 2, 4, 3, Ace.
They haven't changed positions.
You're holding on to 2 cards right over here.
Now, you square the cards up, flip the cards over, and you've got the purple card right in the middle.
So, once again, you do an Ascanio Spread, holding them in a Biddle grip.
Peel off the top with your thumb, the bottom with your index, and the next card with your middle finger,
and then you hold the double right over here.
1, 2, 3, and you hold this double.
Now, if you want, you can just square them up and set them down,
or you have to be really careful setting this down as one card.
You don't want to flash because it's 2 cards.
So, you want to set that down.
So, you say 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Then, you show that the entire deck has also changed to green.
And that's it.
Then, you just pick up the cards and run away.
Okay, let me know what you guys think.
This is a really fun trick.
I really like it.
