Video Summary
AI GeneratedJonathan from Bullitt Motorsports showcases a restored 1965 Malibu SS. The car features a powerful 502 big block engine with fuel injection and a high-end TMI interior. While the paint is rated a 7/10 due to minor imperfections, the mechanicals and underside are in exceptional condition, making it a high-performance cruiser.
Hey guys, it's Jonathan from Bullitt Motorsports. Today we're going to show you a pretty
unique ride. This is a 1965 Malibu. It's powered by a 502, fuel-injected, and we're
gonna be the ones putting the test miles on it. So it looks like it was completed
right when we bought it. Interior is unreal, TMI interior. Also, if you guys
haven't subscribed yet, we're gonna be doing this 59 Cadillac Britz that's
going live on Bring a Trailer, and we've got that Ford Lightning going up too. So
today is Red Monday, and if you like airplanes, the air show is coming in on
Thursday, Friday, Saturday at the Fort Lauderdale Beach. Okay, so overall
condition, I'd rate this, it's really nice. Underneath is unbelievable. I'd rate
this a 7 out of 10 for paint condition. It shows very well, but there are minor
imperfections. So there's a rock chip here. I did see some imperfections on the
paint. That's coming off, but there's like a line. It looks like maybe some brake
fluid or something like that got in there. You don't really see it, but if you
really look closely, you're gonna see it. Underneath the hood, let's get to the
good stuff. So under the hood, we have a beautiful 502 big block. It has the
Sniper EFI setup, so you have fuel injection, easy to start. You
literally turn the key on, wait for five seconds, and fire it right off. Cam sounds
great. When it cams, it tries to do a burnout. That's how aggressive this thing
is. It has an aluminum radiator. It does have chrome accessories throughout, so
chrome power steering pump, chrome alternator, and a billet bracket setup.
Our Wilwood master cylinder. Wheels and tires are really nice. It has American
racing wheels, and they're all the same diameter throughout. You do have disc
brakes front and rear, and I want you guys to look at the underside shot. So
every single car we list up, we're gonna give you guys a link below here. You can
click on it. You can find out if it's gonna go to auction, if we're gonna sell
it no reserve. We're gonna have it selling on an auction site. We'll have
the link there. Underneath it is extremely clean when you open up all the
doors. Man, look at that interior and all the metal. It's beautiful. Door panels
match the interior, so it's a TMI setup, and it does have a nice little radio in
the center with a little glove box. Rear seats match the front seats, and the
headliner is a black suede. I don't see any rust bubbles at all. Door closes
nicely. Rear quarter is very nice. Got the Malibu SS badging here. Rear bumper
looks to be original, so it does have a little bit of pitting, and we're just
being picky. We want you guys to know exactly what you're getting. Rear trunk's
very nice. See that they put a dress-up kit in here, so all the carpets been
redone, and I like how they did the black accents throughout. So you have it all
black right here, and then you have your Malibu SS badging. Passenger side's the
same as the driver's side. You do have true dual exhaust, and it sounds unreal. I
do see some imperfections by the Malibu logo. If you look behind it, it looks like
they had a Chevrolet insignia back here, and this is all just compound from going
around it. Tires have about 95% tread. As I said, we received it, and we basically
put the test miles on it. So to start it, you're gonna let the fuel pump run for a
second. You'll hear it turn off, and it starts up like that every single time.
Extremely healthy. I don't know how these tires are gonna keep the power down.
We'll find out, I guess. Oh man, it sounds mean. Let's continue with the tour, and
we'll get you guys some outside shots later on in this video. The wheels just
fit the car, and all the metal is super straight. You can see my reflection in
the, and also the parking meet parking line in there, and it looks good.
I'd say it's a seven and a half out of ten. Shows really well. It's not concourse
quality, but this will definitely win car shows, and that interior just makes it so
comfortable. Let's jump in it and go for a ride. We're inside the cabin right now.
I'm pretty excited to test drive this thing. Interior is super nice. Will showed
it to you already. Suede headliner. You do have your
infotainment right here, so you have the ability to do Bluetooth, radio, and it
does sound good. So you have your radio. Let's turn that off. Yeah, that makes it a
lot easier if you just drag it. So you have your infotainment right here. You
do have USB autoplay, AV in, so you could probably play videos on here, and then
this is your volume. Very cool. Let me turn it off. You do have a center console
that has a suede interior, and it slides nicely. Someone, when we purchased the
car, someone else wanted to buy it. Let me hide it. Randy, you're gonna have to bid
on it now, buddy. You have two cupholders. Lights work as they should. You can see
it has a tach. Let's put it in gear, and we'll take it to our test spot. Okay,
we're gonna turn right here. We're gonna bring it to our location where we get
some exterior shots. I'll give you some initial impressions. So my initial
impression is the throttle is very touchy, so you really have to get used to
it. Turn signal's working as it should. Whoa. It's peppy. It's actually out of hand.
It's probably...this is fast. 500 horsepower in this small car. We're going over some
bumps right now. Very smooth. Steering feels good. Take a corner here. Nice and
easy. See how the brakes are. Brakes aren't bad. Feels like four-wheel disc
brakes. I can hear that belt making some noise. I know we did adjust the
alternator belt because it's like a cog setup, but I don't know if that's the way
to go for so much power. Just telling you guys exactly how it is. That's why we
have 100% positive feedback for selling cars sight unseen. I got used to
the throttle now, so, I mean, when you get in here, don't think it's...you have to
really touch the throttle softly, but it feels...feels good. We'll turn right here
and get some outside shots. One thing I did notice, it doesn't get hot, so when we
did the initial test drive to take the pictures, the temperature wouldn't get up
there. We were using an IR gauge on the...on the radiator, and we had no issues.
It's got a lot of torque. Oh, man, it feels good. What's pretty neat about this is
you put it in reverse, you actually have a backup camera. Put it in the gear. So
it's powered by a 502, made it to a TH400, 12-volt rear-end, four-wheel disc
brakes, and I don't know if you're hearing that, but we are five minutes
from the Fort Lauderdale Airport, so if you want to have someone fly in to look
at it, or if you want to personally come in to come take a look at this thing,
you're more than welcome to. We keep around 60 cars in stock. We usually have
around 40 to 45 listed up on our site. Definitely follow our social media at
Bullitt Motorsports on Instagram, because we're selling, I would say, out of 10 cars
we list up, two were sold on Instagram without even having to list them on the
internet. So that's a nice way to find out what we have coming in. This thing
runs great. The only gripe I have is that cog belt. Other than that, this thing
drives amazing. Very smooth. Oh, semi-smooth. I have to get used to it. It's easier.
We're driving it right now, super smooth. As I said, it's 500 horsepower, so...
It boogies. Actually grabbed pretty good on second gear. We're gonna get some
outside shots for you. If you have any questions about this ride, give us a call
at 954-363-2261. It's a nice cruiser.
All right, we're gonna get some outside shots. What I would say is this has 497
miles on it since it was restored and built. There's a little bit of fine-tuning
with any classic car that you buy, but this one's pretty much there. So if you
want to put some subwoofers in the back, say you want to add vintage air, you can
do that and really finish this thing off. Let's get some outside shots.
I hope you guys enjoyed that test drive. Give us a call if you have any questions.
