Good Wednesday evening. I'm Chief Meteorologist Emily Walls. We had a
gorgeous day but almost a fall like feel. We woke up in the fifties and
sixties this morning and temperatures only ended up topping out into the low
to mid seventies this afternoon. We're also dealing with a beach hazard
statement that's remaining in effect until 10 p.m. This evening. But boating
swimming conditions should start to improve here later on tonight and then
definitely through the day tomorrow as well. Here's a live view 72 degrees. We
have northeasterly winds of 15 MPH. Here's look at the satellite down in
the gulf. So we have tropical storm bertha that actually made landfall in
Louisiana earlier today and then that's going to continue on a westward track
making its way over toward texas by the end of the week. So this is really
going to be dominating the headlines here in the weather world as this
grazes the gulf coast, brings heavy rain, high waves and winds that are
over about 45 MPH at times. So for tonight, 59 degrees for the overnight
low here at home, it's going to be a very quiet night. Cool start to your
day tomorrow, 79 degrees tomorrow for the high temperature on thursday,
friday 83. We will be in the mid eighties on saturday and sunday and
monday high temperatures are going to be soaring back up into the nineties.
