Kedah cops bust love scam syndicate preying on Japanese victims

Police in Alor Setar have dismantled an online romance scam syndicate targeting Japanese citizens. Seven Chinese nationals were arrested during a raid on a shop lot in Crystal Light Industrial Park. The group used fake identities on messaging apps to lure victims, with at least 19 Japanese nationals identified as targets. Police are now hunting for the masterminds and a Malaysian property owner.
