Ben Neighbors shares five key strategies used by a highly successful soccer training client who earns $75,000 per month. The core philosophy focuses on shifting from a personality-driven business to a system-driven one, emphasizing scalable programs, reliable staffing, search engine visibility, and long-term client retention.
All right, what's going on, coach? It's Ben Neighbors. Welcome back to my channel. Today,
I'm going to show you five things that my top client that is in the soccer training industry
that he is doing. Last month, he made $75,000 in one month. I'm going to show you five things that
he's doing that you're probably not doing. And the whole goal of this video is to show you that,
of course, you could be doing more in your business, but a lot of this is going to come down
to specific tactics that I'm about to break down, right? And do not skip this video because if you
are in a position in your business where you're trying to grow it and you need help with it,
this video is going to help you for sure. But if you really want my help personally, go below,
book a call with me. I'd love to chat with you. This coach has made over $3 million since I've
worked with him. I've worked with him for about eight years now. So you can do the math on how
much that is per year. So let's go through this. So the first one is he is not selling himself.
The parents do not care about this guy. They care about the results. They care about the outcome
that he is selling. Okay. And let me make this really clear because when I first started helping
this coach, he was selling himself. He was selling lessons. He was selling packs of lessons back then,
and everything was about him. And the hardest thing that he had to ever go through was to
figure out how to go from just selling himself to then having to sell a program where it was
not about him anymore. And this is the thing. A lot of coaches in this industry have a really
big ego. This coach does not. And he realized the only way I can truly grow this business the way
that he wants to is by bringing on other coaches that can work for him and they can run the
sessions. But what he's doing is he's selling the program. He's selling the outcome. He is not
selling himself. Parents do not train with this guy when they work with his business. They don't.
They work with the assistant trainers. All right. So that's the first thing that you
have to know is the parents care about results. They don't really care about who you are. And if
you're trying to have this type of business where you have assistant coaches, you have to
change how you sell it. That's number one. The second one, it's because he has staff that he
can rely on, they can run the sessions. So ever since I've known this coach, I mean,
it's pretty common. A couple of times per year, he goes on a really nice vacation. He can be
completely unplugged from the business and the session still happen. And keep in mind,
he has hundreds of customers. So he can be away, doesn't need to be involved out at the field.
He can just be kind of at home or he can be wherever. And this business runs because he
has reliable coaches. And the only way you can get reliable coaches is A, you have to be able
to pay them well. All right. But B, they have to be good people. They have to be good coaches.
You can't just be from across the street that says they want to work for you. He has a legit
process. We drew up a non-compete, non-disclosure form for his business to where it's like,
no one's going to screw him over. And he's able to actually rely on these coaches though.
And he has more than 10 coaches that work for him right now. And these coaches know
where they're training, when they're training, who they're training. These coaches are the ones
who have the relationship between coach and the player or coach and the family. That is why this
works is because he does not personally have to run the sessions. He has coaches that can do this.
All right. And everything is a system with how he pays them, the types of drills that they run,
all of that is systemized. It's not these coaches just showing up and running whatever type of
session that they feel like running that day. No, that doesn't work. All right. Now let's
go to the next one. Let me make myself smaller. All right. And this is a big one, but he ranks
number one on Google for the search terms that attract parents with intent. Because every single
day, there are parents in your city that will search online like private basketball trainer,
New York or New York city or Chicago or Miami. And I would tell you at this point,
99% of coaches in the industry don't even have a website to begin with. That's the first thing.
And then the 1% of coaches that do have a website, the website is probably not that good. It's not
easily found on Google. They don't have Google My Business set up. They're not on Google Maps.
And this coach took advantage of that a long time ago. He's ranked number one in his city,
basically, since I know him, since I've known him. That was something we worked on
in the first couple of months of our working relationship. It was like, we set that up.
And because of that, he's getting 10 to 15 new sales calls per month, just because that's set
up. That alone brings him new business every single month. And this is something that if you
don't have that set up in your business, you're not going to get those calls. You're not going
to get that level of interest. But that is something that is huge for your type of business.
And I would be telling you, you should go Google your business or Google the search terms in your
city, whatever sport you're in, private basketball training, private soccer training,
your city, and you can be able to find where you rank. It's pretty easy, or if you rank.
And if you don't have a website, you need to get one. Go below. I have a resource list there. Go
get the website that I recommend. It's the same one he uses. And I would be trusting that if
someone's making 75 grand per month in this business, I would just go use the same thing
they use. All right. So that's what I recommend. The next one here, and I'll just put this here
because you can see the last two, but his niche is one-on-one and group training. He runs zero
camps, zero clinics, because I know a lot of you guys watching this are probably like, man,
he probably runs a lot of camps and clinics. No, this guy has not run any camps or clinics for
years. Everything is membership-based. Everything is based on a specific level of commitment from
the clients when they join, and doesn't run any camps or clinics. So his whole focus is on
one-on-one and small group training. And this means that the coaches that work for him, they're
busy. They're running multiple sessions per day. They have a lot of work. They have a lot of
sessions that they run per day, but because they have the location on lockdown, he has the
scheduling on lockdown. He has the payments on lockdown. He has the agreements on lockdown.
He has the renewals on lockdown. All that stuff is a system. And because he has that in place,
he doesn't feel the need, like he has to run camps or clinics because he just limits his
focus to the things that he knows are going to bring in the most consistent revenue over the
course of the year. And that's why he runs it that way. And the last thing, this is the biggest
difference I can say that he has versus 99.9% of coaches out there. His average customer stays at
least two years. And the way that I'd want you to think about that is you can look at how much
you're charging right now. Let's say you charge monthly. You charge monthly and let's say it's
$200 per month. He charges more than that. But let's say you charge $200 per month. That's $2,400
per year that you're getting from one client. And if that client stays with you two years,
that's another $2,400. That's $4,800 you're getting just from one client being in your program.
And if you think about it, if you can get clients to stay that long, you're probably going to be
willing to spend more money on Facebook ads because it's not going to cost you $4,800 to
get a new client. There's no way that's going to happen. You should be getting clients at this rate,
you should be getting clients for less than like 50 bucks in most cases. And so this is a huge
component in his business and it's why he has a consistent business. He didn't just make $75,000
last month and he's going to make $10,000 this month. No, no, no. He averages a very high amount
per month. And the reason why though is because he has customers he can rely on. He has coaches
he can rely on and he has the right foundation in place. I personally think based on how this
coach is running his business, I think he can be at a hundred or $150,000 per month in the next
couple of years. And the reason why is because it's just going to come down to getting more
coaches. That's the first thing. Probably opening up another location, probably 15,
20 miles away from where he's at. So he has, he can take on probably twice the amount of customers,
got the coaches to be able to do that. And probably needs to have one more admin person
to be able to actually get to that type of revenue level, which I know is top 0.0001%
in this industry. Now, if you're watching this and you want some of my help, again,
I worked with this coach for the last eight years. I would love to help you and I can't guarantee
that you're going to get to $75,000 per month because like odds are, you probably won't,
but this coach, you know, that's why he's successful. All right. He has those things
on lockdown. So if you are interested in talking with me, go below this video,
book a call with me. I'd love to see if and how I can help you. See you later.
