Hi friends! Welcome back to part two of Cycling Vlog. I am here for a week. I filmed the first
two days already, so you can see that video right here. And this is going to be the continuation
of my little trip. I just checked into my second accommodation of the week,
which is an Airbnb I rented. Okay, so I just came into the apartment, the bathroom,
then we have the kitchen, living room I guess, bedroom, and then out here we have the street.
And so today you are in on a treat, because I am going on a 100k ride. I just made a route
yesterday evening, and it is called Saint Hillary, which is one of the most iconic
loads here apparently. It's around 107k and 1420 meters of elevation, which is a perfect
distance. I'm guessing it's going to take between roughly four hours,
maybe five hours if we take a stop. And I say we because my friend Saza is joining me again.
The guy. I will finish my coffee now, then I will go make a breakfast, and then I will get
dressed for the ride. Okay guys, we're ready. I'm geared up. I'm bringing a lot of snacks,
so let's get to it. We're out. Let's go find my friend. Sunshine today. Probably going to be a
hot ride today, but we're all in for it. I don't think we have too many stops along the way,
but you might have to tell me. We can stop at a gas station, but we will have to go back for
lunch. Yes. We have to speed up the process here. Yeah, that's the thing. Everything closes around
3.34 in Girona. I mean, at least if you want a coffee and a lunch. So we are out right now.
It's almost 11, but let's see. We're all in for it, and we're here to have fun.
Okay guys, status. I charged my batteries from home.
They're dead. This is the worst. 25 out from Girona, so I guess we're going to make it back, but
that sucks. Back into town. Five minutes later. Can you tell that I've been out on a long ride?
Just got out of the shower. I feel like myself again. Now the most important thing for me after
a ride like this is to just eat something. I have zero appetite. I know a lot of you can relate to
this. I can honestly feel the difference if I haven't. I think it's something that I want to
flag now here because I know a lot of people out there don't do it because they're not feeling
hungry or they had too much on the ride or lunch was too big. It doesn't matter. I mean, just put
something in your face afterwards. Ideally something that's a bit higher in protein
because then you will make sure that your body has the right elements and building blocks to
recover faster from the workout. My gazpacho, and then I will be reading this. I want to learn more
about Girona. I don't know enough, but I'm guessing this book can teach me something like that.
So talk later. This looks absolutely beautiful. You ready?
The food block is here. Schnitzel. Good morning. Another day in Girona. I'm just standing here
checking the route because I will be joining my friend Lawrence. He will be joining me either
way around. We're going on a ride together and he just sent me the route. So let's see.
We have a big day ahead. Yeah. 118 kilometers and about 1900 meters of elevation. That's gonna be
fun. What? Now it's coffee time, breakfast time, and then I will be meeting Lawrence at a cafe
here nearby called La Comuna for a second coffee. And the reason being that I don't think you forgot
that I forgot to charge my battery yesterday. And the fun thing about that is, you know the head
where you have to put the cable in which has a USB and then into the plug? Yeah, I forgot the head.
So I have the cable. I just don't have the head. So yeah, I will be going to La Comuna to meet
Lawrence for the coffee and the head, plug in the bike, drink the coffee, and then we're going to go
on the ride and hope that, I don't know, half an hour is going to be enough. It should be. But
let's make coffee. That's the outfit combo.
Okay and we are off. Bike is charged and I found a friend. There we have the parties.
Girl being a girl. Flowers. What are they called? Poppies. Poppies. Poppies. Poppies. Okay, we're just having
a little coke before going to the climb. I have to try this one. So we've ridden up to Madadeo
and it's quite a big climb. It's about 5k up here but there's also a path that goes down this way
and it's quite hot and so we thought we'd just go this way instead of that way. Save that one for another day, right?
Yeah, let's save it. It's quite steep and hot. That's it.
Another day of getting cooked. Let me show you what we did. 102 and I think 1372.
I'm looking very much forward to a very cold shower now and maybe some gazpacho and then
I plan if I'm not feeling too cooked later I might go up and see the cathedral. I heard there's a wall
so I think that's my plan for today but first let's go get a shower. We have some gazpacho here with
some tuna and some veggies. Made it to the top. This is the city wall that encapsulates Girona
which we have down here. Going up here all by myself made me think about something because a
lot of you have asked me why I travel solo. I think I'm just gonna ask you guys why not.
I mean, I wanted to go to Girona. I went to Girona and then to be honest I really like my own company.
I find myself to be very funny so I'm never bored. Jokes aside, I think I'm gonna go get a drink
and a tortilla.
Okay, bag is packed. Apartment's cleaned up and now I gotta go deliver the trash. So I just checked
out of my Airbnb. Left this stuff there so I get to pick it up in a couple of hours. I dropped the
trash and now I just ordered my breakfast. I was so close to getting the carrot cake because I've
heard so much about it but I also have to be realistic and be like I'm gonna crash if I get
like a high carb sugar breakfast first thing in the morning. I can get it after some stable food
but I kind of need something that just sets the blood sugar straight. So I ordered the chia bowl
instead then I think I'll get a salad or something to go for the train ride because I'm going from
Girona station to Barcelona station and then to the airport from there. I think I'm just gonna take
a cab because that's the easiest and then I fly home around 4 pm to Copenhagen and that wraps up
this solo trip to Girona. I have been enjoying my own company so much. It's been really nice to just
be with myself, my own thoughts and do whatever I felt like in the moment. I feel refreshed, I feel
energized, I feel so ready to go home, I feel so ready to invest a lot of time and energy in the
upcoming projects I have. So this is also going to wrap up this cycling vlog. I hope you thought
it was fun to watch and I hope you got inspired maybe to take a solo trip yourself. I hope you
got inspired to go to Girona because this is paradise and I can definitely recommend you can
get out of the city like this. And then the city is so beautiful, has so much history, the food
is insane, coffee scene is great and I even come from Copenhagen and I say that means it's good.
So I want to say thanks for watching. I hope that you want to support this channel by giving it a

myself but also you guys this. So if you have any wishes to something you really want to see
