such a long time since I did a live on YouTube. I have a couple of videos to film and I needed to
get my makeup done and I'm on my first day of periods so I thought might as well go live and
have someone to talk with. Also the thing is it is only 9 30 a.m here in India. I don't know where
you're watching from and it's a working day so I'm not really sure how many of you will be able
to join me but I'm gonna save this on my feed anyway so if you want to watch it later you can.
I'm just gonna go straight into hydrating my face. So there is this new jelly toner that
I've been seeing a lot of brands come out with and this one is from a brand called Just Gold.
I'm still trying to figure out what is the benefit of it. It's fun to use because look
it's jelly it's not liquid but when you spritz it it comes out as a beautiful
fine mist. I think this was supposed to be a dupe of the d'Alba glow serum. Let's see
let's see if that really works right. I'm just gonna let that get into my skin for a minute
and then I've got the Teal Teal foundation. Here's the thing okay a couple of things about me
I don't like wasting stuff and if I have something that does not fit my color or if I don't like the
product I have to figure out some way to make use of it because I don't want to throw things.
I give away a lot of products but things that I have already put my finger in swatched it's
not nice to give that away to you right so I don't do that. Anyways I got the shade in 31
N French Beige but it's a bit too light for me. So what I did was yesterday I took a foundation
that was deeper than my skin tone and I poured it into the cushion and I let it sit overnight so
that the cushion had the time to really absorb it. Now I checked the ingredients and I found
out that this is a water-based foundation so I made sure that the foundation that I was mixing
was also another water-based foundation so if you're doing the same at home
make sure to see that the base is the same you know it's not you're not mixing of water and
an oil because that's gonna separate a water and silicone that's not gonna do really well and
I nailed it oh my god sometimes I surprise myself at the artistry of it all so if you want me to
tell you what my shade is in tear tear I don't know but this new concoction mix match that I've
made has to be my new favorite foundation of all time oh my goodness I am obsessed I am obsessed
this is the first time I'm using a cushion foundation on my face because I've never really
found a shade match also I'm not really a foundation wearer so the concept of getting
the right shade of foundation never you know excited me but I'm just mesmerized at how
close I got that shade match yeah anyway so I've got a lot of foundations sitting in my
collection because brands send them to me I buy foundations for reviews and whatnot and I've been
actively trying to use up my foundations so I've been wearing a lot of foundations
recently just to use it up and not have to throw it away and that has brought me
a newfound love for the artistry of foundation and you know the more you wear things the more
you use things that you have insight to it so for the longest time for years now I had stopped
completely using foundation and I had kind of lost my interest in it to review it to see what
is new in it so now that I have been back on it the few foundations that I am re-loving is the
NYX blur foundation and also if I can find it in my personal kit yeah the Estee Lauder double wear
foundation so you know I have this whole setup in my office where I keep all the PR products and
all the makeup and I can't keep that in my daily you know my bedroom because it takes up a lot of
space so what I've done is I have this tiny little container that I have essentially shopped from my
collection so I keep products that I want to test out or the products that I am obsessed with or
the products that are nearing its expiration date expiration date expiration date anyways you know
so it's a very niche collection of products that I keep in my cupboard here in the bedroom so this
has fallen into that the base the base is basing I am loving it oh my goodness I don't think I
right okay but I'm gonna add a little bit of concealer nevertheless so that again I'm trying
to use up products that I have and also test out new products that brands have sent me so that I
can review them for you now this is a new under eye brightener that also is from this brand called
um it has caffeine squalene ceramides and this is in the shade 22 light uh so this is called the
under eye brightener I didn't know if it was an concealer version of Charlotte Tilbury's
flawless filter which I cannot use as a foundation it's too glowy for me but I love using it as a
primer and I love using it as a highlighter I thought this was something like that because I
remember a long long time ago Becca um had a product like that for under eye brightness alone
it was not the concealer it was not a corrector it was just a brightener which had pearls in it
which has a little bit of corrector a little bit of concealer you know so it can't it was
why did Becca shut down it's just so sad one of my favorite brands I tell you yeah anyways
I am such a nice product also that tear tear I remember all of my friends who have used it
telling me that it is an extremely matte foundation and also the foundation that I mixed it with
was a smashbox always on foundation that is also an extremely matte long wearing heavy full coverage
foundation very similar um so I can see that my face is really really hyper matte but at the same
time it's still got the glow crazy huh that is just so crazy anyways I usually apply
concealer on my mouth I don't think I need to do that with that tear tear thing that we did
we have nailed it all right another product that I have been obsessed with
and re-shopped from my collection is the hourglass ambient lighting powder set now this contains
three types of glow powders okay this is the dim light this is the incandescent light and this is
the radiant light and they have different levels of shimmers and this has the least amount of shimmer
um this is in the shade I have no idea you guys I either sorry either sorry this is this is very
old this is embarrassingly old I'm not even gonna tell you how old but I can't throw an hourglass
palette away right who's gonna do that so I'm gonna take the dim light version which has the
least amount of shimmer but it does have shimmer and I've been using this as my under eye brightener
and oh my god guys wait for it wait for the magic that's about to happen it sets that under eye so
beautifully and also just gives you the most ethereal bright you know anyways I didn't tell
you my reference for today's look I am trying to recreate Zendaya's um you know the one of the looks
that she wore for the odyssey premiere uh yesterday I posted the look with the white inner corner
and that I didn't want to recreate it because every time I open my Instagram someone has already
recreated it uh but then my content manager she told me why don't we do a video where
we reimagine Zendaya attending Onam and I was like oh my god that is exactly where I can use
that white inner corner look I recreated it and I fell in love with that look if you haven't watched
it I have like a two-part um shorts of it please do check it out that is if anyone would end up
watching this video I have I don't know when is the last time I posted a live should be years ago
years and years and years ago so I don't really know if this is even recording if this is getting
pushed onto you guys I have no idea you guys anyways I am looking for okay so this blush
combination I tried yesterday and I loved it I'm gonna do the same blush combination
this is MAC's Flur Power Powder Blush we're gonna start with that and apply it usually if you've
seen my blush tutorials I like to take it all the way up to my under eye but for this one we're gonna
kind of keep it old school and apply it in your traditional blush application area and more towards
where you would apply your bronzer towards the outer corners of your face the perimeter
not the apples of your cheeks there are so many ways to wear blush and it all really alters the
shape of your face the vibe of your look it is so interesting like I said I've been really getting
back into the whole artistry of makeup and I've been really really enjoying it and also using a
flat brush I'm enjoying it a lot for blush application these days so this is something
called blush transition or blush draping now if you follow makeup world gossip this whole thing
has been in the limelight for really bad reason now so you know the makeup artist Patrick Ta who
has also launched his own makeup line called the Patrick Ta he's a celebrity makeup artist it's
phenomenal and he became famous for his blush duos that many many many brands are duping these days
Morphe has one from India, Fine Wine has one, One Size has one many brands I think yeah Just Gold
has one very similar where the one part is cream and one part is powder and usually we apply cream
first and the powder second right and Patrick's way of application is the other way around where
he applies the powder first and cream second which is just so cool I've spoken about all of that in
other videos of mine so I'm not gonna talk about why what that does and all of that now the whole
point of blush draping or blush transition is what I just did you apply a lighter blush on a wider
surface area and then you pick a more deeper shade with a stiffer brush a lot of the time it is a
cream blush but you can really use whatever type of blush you want and focus it more on one spot
so just like how we have transition shade for the eyes and then your focus shade
this is pretty much using that same concept you know so this now the drama comes in where
Patrick just launched because of his success of the multiple multiple shades that he has launched
of the blush duos he launched something called the transition blushes cream and powder version
and he went on to patent the whole concept of transition blushes this is where the makeup
community and even a community of deeper skin tone just couldn't have it because this trend
called the blush transition or the blush draping was made famous for deeper skin tones by a makeup
artist called makeup by Esther so they feel like the whole idea was stolen and Patrick took the
credit and he's also incentivized incentivizing it and monetizing on someone else's creativity
and intellectual property so yeah the people are not having it but at the same time what you need
to remember is that this technique is not new to anyone not to Esther not to Patrick this technique
has been used since 80s by multiple multiple makeup artists and even Japanese makeup artists
have been doing a version of this since probably 90s you know so this is the whole drama behind
this whole blush draping transition blush all of that what it did for me is bring back the technique
and I've been loving it I've been loving every bit of it it looks like I have more over here
because my light is from here but it's even guys it's even I made sure now I'm gonna do another spritz
of this I'm gonna do another layer of dim light and you will see I don't know if you can tell
but this is giving Zendaya's glowy, ethereal, soft focus, beige-y, creamy
love it now I'm gonna quickly do my brows also Zendaya has really straight and angular brows
so I'm going to fill it in kind of similar I have really fluffy brows like all the way to here so
I'm not really gonna touch the front portion I've noticed that if I do anything to the front portion
it kind of looks a bit overdone so just from the arch I'm gonna taper it upwards and it might look
a bit crazy now because see this is where my actual eyebrows are going and just above that
is where I am drawing in the new brow you might be like Joey what is going on but wait for it
wait for it it won't be visible in just a second okay so do you see that my natural brows go down
like that it also kind of you know droops in your face your face looks heavy but when you
lift your brows just a touch that is where I drew in the tail you see that two millimeter lift that
I gave my face looks matched I look like I did one of those eye surgeries here's the magic you
take the spoolie end of your brow and comb it all up now you can't see the two lines
there you go can you can you even tell now the new brow for me is the top line and to
set it in place we take brow gel which if I could find there it is it's been such a long time since
I did a detailed tutorial like this the thing is I really really love makeup like I said for the
thousandth time because of the artistry of it it's not just putting on colors and looking pretty
it's about the techniques the artistry the magic that you can create the you know the shape altering
effects that that we really have the power to do but people don't really watch when I
do makeup videos so then I don't have the motivation to do it so today I was like anyways
look I'm gonna get ready for uh my videos like I said just go live and talk to myself
okay for the eyes I want to use the pack on the go palette once again and that is wait a minute
can you get that no I don't know where it is I don't know where it is okay I'm gonna use another
really really old eyeshadow palette this is Noha Nabil's own makeup brand now Noha Nabil is
a very very very popular Kuwaiti blogger and she came out with this a couple of years ago
so this is something that is available only in the middle east and if you know middle east they
do makeup right so this palette and also I like the you know the Arabic
architecture of it it looks like one of the designs of your typical Arab you know anyways
I'm gonna keep it very very very soft and simple gonna take a shade of brown and apply it all over
I'm not going to go down following the natural dip of my eye I'm gonna lift it up so once I
reach the outer corner I'm just picking up the angle and going towards the brow and that also
changes the shape of your eyes can you see this eye to this eye looks so different now
can you tell it this is narrower and more feline whereas this is crazy it's crazy when you notice
it this is rounder before I do anything so I'm gonna take the rest of that brown all the way
inside the other side by the way can you see that I'll tell you the story behind it okay
so my niece Anya when she comes home she loves to get on a group chat with her girlfriend she's all
of six years old you guys but yeah she needs dedicated whatsapp chat time with her mom's
phone she doesn't have her own phone or anything with her two other girlfriends and they just
they just sit there watching each other like that's all they do that's all they do and they
sit like that for hours anyways so during one of their girl time when she's here she always
wants me to join her and because in her mind I'm one of them um I was watching I was like
right over here and she was right there she Gilda had bought my sister had bought a new Charlotte
Tilbury's lip oil for me to test so I had kept it on this nightstand right there oh by the way
that's not alcohol by my nightstand okay um so I was not paying attention for just two minutes
she takes that tube squirts it into her palm rubs it between her palm and and it's on the wall
my sister my mom me we tried taking it off with stain removers grease removers you know those
multi-purpose removers grease removers uh that you use for kitchen grease I even tried that
mommy used soap and water shampoo makeup remover micellar water we've tried it all
it's just not going anywhere that's that's there for life okay and I'm going to take a pencil brush
and I see a nice shimmery shade and apply that to the inner corner
so this look that I'm doing is not that insane white inner corner look it's more of that glowy
dewy I just am a period people that look okay so I'm applying that all over I like me I like me
and then from that same blush palette from prosh I'm going to take this peach highlighter
and I'm going to apply that to the lid portion of my eyes just layer it on top of that brown
and this I feel like will bring in more of the peachiness less of the brown intense
and the peach also ties in with the blush there's a reason there's a reasoning to
everything that goes on your face when it is artistry
okay I like it right now we are going to top it all up with a little bit of mascara
but where are my two face better than six have been loving this ever since they came out in
2019 this is probably my fifth tube a bit overpriced but if that means I don't have to
apply false lashes I'll buy an expensive mascara this gives me false lashes wait for it just wait
I'm gonna show you look at that look at that okay okay I'm just focusing the way you apply
also decides the shape of your eyes did you know that it's not just swipe on your mascara get out
of the door so if you swipe your lashes to the side towards the tail of my eyebrow you see that
you get a more feline victoria's secret bombshell kind of look if you swipe it all the way up you
get a more doll like wide-eyed innocent look now if you apply your mascara on the top and bottom
lash line it's going to give you your traditional cold lined you know your bengali beauty or kerala
beauty black look also your eyes can either look really big or really small depending on the natural
shape of your lash and if you don't apply mascara on the lower lash line you have a more doll like
look just on the upper so there are a thousand ways to manipulate even your eyes just using
isn't that phenomenal the artistry what you can do you know anyways I bought myself a 69 rupee
lip liner obviously I was very very skeptical but I'm impressed so this is Mars edge of desire in
I am slightly over lining my lip and then I just blend it with my finger same thing on top
and the reason why I'm smudging is because again I want it to be a natural flushed juicy lip I don't
want a structured diva you know also with lip liner you can create a smile you can change the
shape of your lips beyond just plumping it out there are so many things like if you guys don't
watch my videos I would make more beauty videos but you don't you don't watch it
a peach lipstick this is a house of makeup in the shade pecan peach
and I'm gonna top it up with this good side lip contour good sculpt now this is supposed to be a
lip contour but but it is like a glossy peptide stick so I just like to apply it all over my
lips for a subtle sheen like a natural do you see what that just did see the difference
if you don't have two-toned lips this alone is a very beautiful pigment
but it's not that pigmented on my my skin I'm trying to find the shade for you this is mist
and I had a little bit of smudge of mascara there I was just waiting for it to dry down
just flick that out with the same eye shadow brush that we used
and that is it that is the end of my makeup I'm very happy with how it turned out
one more mist of the dew spray what do you think guys do we have a zendaya look
oh no did you this is what happens with aligners
I always get lipstick on my aligners but I'm almost done nearly two years of wearing aligners
and I'm almost done oh that has been a long journey but I'm so happy if you want me to
make a video on in my invisalign final you know let me know as well
