More details have been released surrounding former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his
OWI or operating while intoxicated arrest last week in Wisconsin and police are saying that
he was uncooperative during the traffic stop. Court records reviewed by the California Post
on Monday show that the former Cowboys quarterback has been issued one citation
for refusing to take tests for intoxication after arrest and again this stems from his July 23rd
run-in with police in Milwaukee. In fact a copy of the citation was not made immediately available
and a request seeking comment from Romo's attorney has not been returned to the California Post
either but if you remember in one of our former videos of last week Romo was pulled over
on an interstate shortly after he had completed a round at the Wisconsin Amateur Championship
Golf Tournament. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office wrote in the arrest report that the 46
year old was taken into custody and booked on a charge of operating while intoxicated
first defense after performing poorly on standardized field sobriety tests. A spokesperson
for the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office told the Post Monday that because of the
allegations against Romo the case is a traffic violation and not a criminal charge in Wisconsin
so we're going to monitor that because that can obviously impact different implications
and discipline if CBS decides to discipline him. Romo has not commented about the arrest as of now
but over the weekend he did withdraw from a scheduled appearance at the MP&P
Group Texas State Open which is slated to begin on Tuesday. Once again there's no word yet on if
CBS is deciding to discipline Tony Romo. Them just like us need to gather more facts on this matter
but we will continue to keep you guys posted as more details on the Romo arrest are released.
