Hey guys, we're stoked to let you know that we just opened up our new cleanup headquarters on
the island of Bali. This is where we have 27 full-time employees that are cleaning the ocean
and coastlines seven days a week. We now have a full cleanup facility where we process all the
plastic that we collect to be recycled properly. These guys are using all the tools, vehicles,
and items necessary to pull this plastic and debris off of the beach and bring it back to
our cleanup facility. The majority of the plastic that ends up in the ocean starts on land from
not being properly recycled. And if it's not properly recycled, it makes its way into the
ocean where we can then intercept it, bring it back to our facility, sort through it all,
and then properly recycle it. We chose Bali, Indonesia for our first international cleanup
headquarters because this is where we came up with the idea for 4ocean. On our first big cleanup,
we had people in the community outside of 4ocean employees jumping in to help. The energy was
contagious. We had lifeguards that were coming out of their stands to help us pick up plastic.
We even had police officers coming from the street and helping us clean up the beach.
It was an amazing thing to see, and it's awesome to see how we can change the entire community's
perception on ocean plastic and what it's doing to their community. And not to mention,
with their help, we were able to remove over 10,000 pounds that day. So we just wanted to thank
you guys for all your support and raising awareness for what we're doing here at 4ocean
because without your help, we would not be able to do these cleanups. And if you guys want to learn
more, visit 4ocean.com and please share this video to help raise awareness.
