This video demonstrates the successful recovery of a dying ZZ plant using a homemade natural nutrient solution. Through a process of pruning, cleaning, and specialized feeding with a banana and rice mixture, a plant with withered leaves and dead roots was fully revived and developed a strong, healthy root system within 30 days.
Do you believe these healthy white roots were once almost completely dead?
In just 30 days, it made an incredible comeback. This was the plant's condition when I first found
it. The leaves were yellow and withered, and the roots were completely dried out,
as if there was no chance of saving it. With just banana, rice, and warm water, I made a natural
nutrient solution for the plant. Watch the full video to see the entire recovery process.
This was the plant's initial condition. The leaves were yellow and wilted,
the roots were shriveled and weak. I decided to bring it home and try to restore it
using a natural method. First, I gently remove all the yellowed leaves, helping the plant
focus its energy on the healthier parts. The dry, shriveled, and completely dead roots are
carefully cut away by me. Only the healthy roots are kept, so the plant can continue absorbing
water and nutrients. After cleaning, I rinse the entire root system with clean water to remove dirt
and any remaining damaged parts, while also allowing me to carefully check the condition
of each root section before moving on to the next recovery step. Next, I soak the plant in
clean water so that the remaining roots can be provided with moisture. After soaking for a while,
the plant begins to regain a healthier condition. I prepare a natural nutrient solution from very
easy to find ingredients, which is banana. I peel the banana and cut it into small pieces.
Banana peels are a very good source of natural nutrients for plants. Inside the banana peel are
many important minerals, especially potassium, an element that helps strengthen the plant's health,
support root development, make the leaves greener, and help the plant become more resilient during
the recovery process. Then I put the chopped banana into a glass jar. I add one liter of warm
water at about 70 degrees celsius. Then I add three tablespoons of white rice and stir the mixture well.
Rice provides additional natural nutrients, supporting a suitable environment for root
development. Stir well and let the mixture rest until it cools completely. After the mixture has
cooled, I proceed to filter out the residue. Thorough filtering helps make the solution cleaner
and prevents organic residues from affecting the root system. Then I add 500 ml of clean water
and stir well. Now the natural nutrient mixture is ready to use. I gently place the root system
of the ZZ plant into the mixture. I soak the plant for about 30 minutes to give the roots time
to absorb moisture and nutrients. Then I use a soft cotton pad soaked with the solution and
gently wipe each leaf. I clean both sides of the leaves to remove layers of dust,
long-standing residue, and impurities on the surface. When the leaves are cleaned, the
photosynthesis process will take place more effectively, while also helping the leaves
become greener and shinier and absorb light better. After completing the care steps, I proceed to
replant the plant. This time I choose the semi-hydroponic method so that the plant can easily
develop new roots. I use pumice as the growing medium. Do you believe these healthy white roots
were once almost completely dead? At the same time, it helps maintain moisture while still
preventing root rot. Finally, I add water just enough to reach the top of the roots and place it
in an area with indirect light. After 30 days of care, the transformation of the ZZ plant surprises
me greatly. The leaves have become greener and healthier. The plant has become stronger and full
of vitality. When I gently lift the plant to check, I can see a new root system that has developed
very strongly. Many new white root tips have appeared and are growing downward to absorb water.
From a ZZ plant that seemed difficult to recover after a period of care, the plant has been revived
and is now full of vitality. If you find this helpful, please like, share the video, and subscribe
