August 2026- Massive Turning Point In Ukraine

On the 12th of August a total solar eclipse will pass over the Russian Arctic. It falls at 20 degrees of Leo and it happens to be hitting a very sensitive part of the natal chart of Vladimir Putin. For this and many other reasons I think this eclipse is signaling the end game of the war in Ukraine. In this video I'll show you why and we'll dig into the second eclipse of August which lands on a star known for great idealism and great falls from grace. But first a quick look back at July including one call that I got quite wrong. Last month I said that Uranus' square to the lunar nodes hadn't brought what it's tended to bring in the past which is significant natural disasters. Well I was wrong about that because June the 24th brought not one but two large earthquakes that killed thousands of people in Venezuela. There were two quakes 39 seconds apart and they were so alike that seismologists called them a doublet. In other words we saw twin earthquakes with Uranus sitting in Gemini the sign of the twins. Then came the typically explosive Mars-Uranus conjunction exact on July the 4th. I said July would start with a bang and in the US it did with nationwide Independence Day fireworks which ended up setting fire to the Brooklyn bridge. Gemini relates to connective infrastructure including bridges and an unplanned fire on one of the country's most famous bridges was surely an expression of this volatile conjunction although a harmless one. The same conjunction brought nationwide power cuts in Cuba, Mars cuts and severs, Uranus is electricity, that's very simple astrology. And as Wade Caves has highlighted on this channel August's Leo eclipse seems to promise big changes for the Cuban government too. The conjunction also brought the Iran war back in earnest. The 60-day ceasefire still applies on paper but on June the 26th an Iranian drone hit a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump retaliated and by July the 8th he declared the ceasefire over. The US is now bombing Iranian targets daily and the objective seems to have shifted from ending Iran's nuclear program to controlling the Strait of Then on July the 22nd the Houthis attacked two Saudi oil tankers and declared a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia. Notice what's happening here, there are two major trade choke points in the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia was rerouting its oil through the Red Sea precisely because Hormuz was disrupted and now that escape route is being shut too. So we have twin supply routes targeted together, hello Gemini again. And finally Ukraine, early July brought a big escalation with both sides bombarding each other's energy infrastructure. Then on July the 3rd right at the Mars-Uranus conjunction Russia claimed it had captured Kostyantynivka, said to be the strategic key to the Donbass region. Ukraine says it hasn't. Now you have to be careful with claims from either side in this war but when both sides are fighting over the truth about one city that suggests the war may be entering its endgame. And the astrology of August, in particular the eclipses, could be confirming exactly that. Oh and there's one more thing we need to mention from July, the so-called Barbeau basket, the remarkable outer planet configuration named for the late French astrologer Andre Barbeau. I think three big themes played out under it. The emergence of digital technocracy, great bifurcations of the world and perhaps the popping of the AI bubble, certainly the chip bubble. Wink wink. All right back to the video. Let's talk about the total solar eclipse of August the 12th which is taking place at 20 degrees and one minute of Leo. This is a total solar eclipse but a relatively short one clocking in with a maximum totality of 2 minutes 18 seconds compared to the longest recorded which have topped 7 minutes. But let's start with the sign of the eclipse which is Leo the domicile of the sun. The basic read on this in mundane terms is pretty simple. Leo represents solar and so central figures like presidents, monarchs, CEOs and famous celebrities. People have whole worlds revolving around them. We're probably going to see the fall or death of some prominent figures of this kind under this eclipse but that won't be all. The closest aspecting planet to the eclipse is Saturn in Aries which is about five degrees from forming an exact shrine with the So we need to add a dose of Saturn in Aries energy to our interpretation. Some of the themes this eclipse could bring are attempts to limit or restrain conflict, energy restrictions and the pressures of independence. Of course that energy restriction theme is already in the zeitgeist in ways we've already seen in recent months. Now also in Leo with the eclipse are Jupiter and Mercury. Jupiter in Leo provides the potential for this eclipse to bring some glory here for some of us anyway. But we also have Mercury in Leo too. Both Jupiter and Mercury have to do with knowledge. In an eclipse context we might think that this eclipse could bring the revelation of secret knowledge. Indeed there's actually a lot of mercurial energy on this eclipse because it's taking place in Leo's Egyptian bound belonging to Mercury. And if you look at the eclipse chart you'll see that Mercury is in a remarkable configuration in this eclipse chart. It's in a kite. It opposes Pluto but it sits at the midpoint of Venus and Uranus. All three of those planets are in a grand air trine. I can't help but think that this might relate to disruptions to wealth and things of value and given that there's also a trine from Neptune that this might relate to oil. Is Mercury opposing Pluto signaling intense negotiations relating to the energy market? If we look on the 90 degree dial the eclipse itself sits at the Mercury-Uranus midpoint which would suggest it's also going to bring shocking revelations of information probably relating to celebrities and politicians and monarchs. And so a keyword that comes to mind for this eclipse is breakthrough. I've previously noted that it's hitting the charts of a number of famous spiritual teachers of the 19th and 20th centuries including Helena Blavatsky, Edgar Cayce, Rudolph Steiner and Sri Aurobindo all of whom spoke about mystical themes like the wisdom of ancient Egypt and Atlantis and previous iterations of human civilization. So there's a big mystical side to this eclipse especially given the remarkable configuration of its bound ruler Mercury. And again we may have already seen some of this manifesting. I'm thinking here about the supposed discovery of a second sphinx at Giza using synthetic aperture radar technology by the Italian researcher Filippo Biondi and his team. It was announced on the summer solstice June the 21st in Bologna. Although I've recently expressed some skepticism that we're entering a more spiritual new age in this stream, I nevertheless do think our knowledge horizons are undoubtedly expanding very rapidly at the moment including in matters related to spirituality and ancient history. Now let's look at the eclipse's path. The traditional belief around eclipses is that places where an eclipse is visible are the primary places affected by it. Here's a NASA animation of the eclipse path. It starts in the Russian Arctic then it passes through Greenland and West Iceland then it cuts a swathe through Spain. One might wonder what's in store for leaders and celebrities in those places. Of course Greenland has been in the news a lot recently given US President Trump's efforts to acquire it and I suspect this eclipse is saying that those efforts aren't going away. Spain too is in Trump's crosshairs since that country is currently ruled by a socialist government and it hasn't been playing ball with the US's Middle East strategy. It's broken ranks with the rest of the West in strongly denouncing Israel's recent conduct. Spain refused to let the US use two of its bases during the conflict with Iran and it's also refusing to boost its defense spending which Trump is asking the US's partners in NATO to do. As I've said many times before the tricky thing with eclipses is that they come into effect weeks before we actually see them but here's a fascinating example of this eclipse already in action. This headline comes from July the 8th just over a month before the eclipse on the BBC website and the headline is Trump takes aim at wasted cause Spain and revives Greenland claim at NATO summit. So we have two of the very small number of countries where you can see this eclipse named in a single headline. Expect to hear a lot more about both of these places in the coming weeks and of course Spain just won the world cup so there's that. And there's another country strongly implicated by this eclipse for many many reasons and that's Russia. One reason for that is that the eclipse path starts in the Russian arctic but there's much more. For one thing this eclipse is implicating Vladimir Putin since his Pluto and south node are very close by. His midheaven may also be there but the time on his chart is in doubt. And the Russia flag raised natal chart dated December the 25th 1991 has an ascendant very close to this eclipse. What's more we astrologers have been expecting big news from Russia in 2026 given that country's powerful historic resonance with the Saturn-Neptune cycle which sees conjunctions every 36 years. We're currently seeing another one of these conjunctions and even though it perfected in February it's still in orb and the planets will move to within around seven degrees from conjunction in the last quarter of this year. Here's the bottom line I think this eclipse is going to bring a breakthrough in the Russia-Ukraine conflict very soon. The Russians are claiming big breakthroughs in that respect having supposedly captured the key city of Kosyantynivka although their oil industry and economy taking heavy damage from Ukrainian drone attacks right now. Both sides have a growing incentive to stop the conflict soon. I think that could happen pretty soon. I have a lot of other thoughts relating to Russia and this eclipse and the astrology of the moment but there's too much to say in this video so I'll be putting that in another video on this channel coming very soon so watch this space. Alright that's it for the solar eclipse now let's look at the second eclipse of August which is a lunar eclipse in Pisces. On August the 28th we get a partial lunar eclipse in Pisces which is the third and final of a series of three lunar eclipses in Pisces. Now broadly speaking the kind of themes that come up during eclipses in Pisces will include sacrifice and martyrdom, faith and spirituality, the dissolution of borders and boundaries, boundary crossing types of people like immigrants and of course the oceans. But before we talk more about this eclipse let's review the last two Pisces eclipses because this one will actually be the third of three that we're getting this time around. The first of the three came on September the 18th 2024 at 25 degrees of Pisces within the Egyptian bound of Mars. It was also within three degrees of a conjunction with Neptune so we have strong Mars and Neptune signals here besides Pisces. Very close to that exact eclipse came the Israeli Pager attack on Hezbollah. This was essentially a clever and rather devious plot that had required years of preparation which had seen Israel supply Hezbollah with booby-trapped pagers that exploded simultaneously across Lebanon killing many Hezbollah operatives and people close to them. But the Neptune theme of illusions and deception were obvious here but a lunar eclipse always stimulates the opposing sign too and here's that technically adept sign of Virgo. We also saw what was billed as a second attempt on Trump's life when a man Ryan Ruth was arrested for supposedly trying to shoot him on his golf course. The second Pisces eclipse came a year later on September the 7th 2025 at 15 Pisces. This one was just three degrees from the lunar node so it was a powerful total lunar eclipse, a blood moon, and it carried a clear theme that ran through many of the events of the moment and that was the martyrdom or sacrifice of the young. On the day of the eclipse September the 7th 2025 the Vatican canonized a boy who had died of leukemia aged 15 in 2006. Carlo Acutis was a devoted Catholic who created a website documenting miracles and Marian apparitions. He has been called the first millennial saint and the patron saint of the internet. The next day Nepal's so called Gen Z uprising began over a social media ban which eventually led to the fall of the country's government and on September the 10th Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Interestingly Mercury was in its home sign of Virgo at the time of this eclipse but it was combust and burned up by the sun's beams. Mercury represents young people and here we saw the canonization of a 15 year old, the ousting of a government by youths angry at a social media ban, and the murder of the leader of the most influential conservative political youth organization in America. In Kirk's case the theme of speech, a mercurial theme, rings out strongly. So you can see how the planets involved with an eclipse strongly shape its flavor. Now let's turn to our August lunar eclipse. Now honestly this eclipse has one hell of a chart. The moon is at 4 Pisces and the sun is at 4 Virgo and the first and most striking thing to me is that at the time of this eclipse we also get a Mercury Kazemi meaning Mercury is almost exactly conjunct the sun in its sign of domicile and exaltation Virgo. So ignoring the fact that this is an eclipse chart Mercury, planet of communication, cleverness, technicalities, and trade would be very powerful here if it wasn't being eclipsed. But there's more. The eclipse is also tightly square to Uranus in Gemini. That adds a large dose of fast-acting unpredictable energy to the proceedings and so this eclipse has a strong Mercury-Uranus flavor speaking to surprising or shocking or disruptive information and events involving a strongly technical or technological element. What's more the moon in this eclipse chart is conjunct a powerful fixed star Fomalhaut, one of the four royal or watcher stars of the Persians. Fomalhaut is said to bring great idealism but also the potential for deception or delusions along with it. It's one of those powerful fixed stars that can raise people up to great heights or bring them crashing down to the ground if they fail its tests. There was a lunar eclipse conjunct Fomalhaut on August the 27th of 1969 just after the legendary Woodstock festival but this was also shortly after the Manson murders and the start of the troubles in Northern Ireland. There was a lunar eclipse conjunct this star in August 1980, five days before the Gdansk agreement between the Polish communist government and shipyard workers that allowed the formation of Solidarity, the first independent trade union in the Soviet bloc which eventually contributed to the fall of the USSR. There was another lunar eclipse conjunct Fomalhaut on August the 27th of 1988 shortly after the start of the 8888 uprising of students and monks for democracy in Burma. So keep an eye out for events at the time of this eclipse with a flavor of great idealism or spiritual power but also others involving deception or the misuse of those same energies. But another way to analyze an eclipse is to investigate the lunation family that it belongs to because the eclipse will be carrying forward themes related to events at a first quarter moon nine months earlier and the new moon nine months before that. And interestingly when I looked at events at the time of those two lunations there was a theme that came up very vividly both times and it's very relevant to the themes that we've already talked about in this video. Let me explain. The new moon of this family came in February the 28th of 2025. On this very day came the infamous meeting in the White House between Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance which the latter two berated Zelensky for his ingratitude to the US and tried to push him into accepting a ceasefire with Russia. And then the first quarter moon of November the 28th 2025 the exact same theme came up again. November the 27th was the deadline Trump gave Zelensky to accept a US devised 28-point peace plan which would entail Ukraine ceding territory limiting its military and promising not to join NATO. And so what we've seen in this lunation family both times so far is Trump putting Zelensky under strong pressure to agree to an end to the war. Let's see if this pattern holds at the coming eclipse because we may well see that theme coming up again. But there's something else. On the day of that first quarter moon November the 28th 2025 Ukrainian anti-corruption investigators raided the home of Zelensky's chief of staff who was also Ukraine's lead peace negotiator. And so I think this coming eclipse could see Zelensky coming under a lot of pressure again possibly over corruption or from the US or both. And one last thing Uranus and Gemini is being triggered heavily by this eclipse and as I explained in this video we can expect Uranus and Gemini to spark and deepen significant splits and bifurcations in the world. I think the astrology of August may signify events that lead down the line to some kind of division of Ukraine and thus of the west from the east as in the Cold War. It probably won't happen in August but look for events signaling that that's the direction that things are moving in. Lunar eclipses last for many months if not years but the events that coincide with them in time serve as signals of what's coming later. All right let's move on and cover something completely different because before August is out we'll see a major moment in a major synodic cycle that we simply have to talk about. On August the 31st Jupiter and Saturn will form a waxing trine aspect. This will be the first of three such trines with the second coming on April the 3rd 2027 and the third and final one on July the 11th of 2027. So this brings a major moment in the current 20-year synodic cycle of Jupiter and Saturn which began with their last conjunction in the very first degree of Aquarius on the winter solstice of 2020. The Jupiter-Saturn cycle speaks to the character of visible structures of governance and the laws of the land. Aquarius is Saturn's air sign and it has to do with technology and forward-thinking visions of the future but it also relates to limits and rules and control. Consider what happened at the time of that Aquarius conjunction the end of December 2020. At that time we saw the rollout of the Covid injections together with all the associated bureaucratic machinery that came with them including the new phenomenon of needing a QR code to prove that you were compliant with the system in order to travel or even just to enter public spaces. That's a flavor of things to come in my opinion. All around the world we're seeing the construction of new systems of digital governance, bringing together surveillance through devices, digital currency, digital ID and of course AI. Now in 2024 and 2025 we saw the waxing squares of this same Jupiter-Saturn synodic cycle and I think I know what the main event relating to those squares was. I think it was the launch in January 2025, the day after the inauguration of Donald Trump, of Project Stargate, a 500 billion dollar AI investment program which we're seeing the fruits of now in the form of the data centers being built all around America and in the world. Again it seems pretty obvious that a project of this gargantuan size isn't intended to help us all make pretty AI generated TikTok videos. It's a process, vast amounts of data, probably the data required in a system in which every device we own is feeding back information about what each one of us is saying and doing at every moment of the day. So what's this trine about? Well I suspect it's really representing the ongoing construction of this system including the rollout of the needed legislation and the construction of the infrastructure. Trines tend to bring about rapid and relatively easy flows of energy. They're not times when things experience serious opposition or grind to a halt. That kind of thing will come later at the opposition in 2030 and 2031. So right now look out for legislation and announcements on digital technocracy and data center construction around the time of trine.
