What will a PGA Tour golfer shoot at the EASIEST course in America?

Video Summary
AI GeneratedA professional golfer, Brendan, joins two amateurs for a round at a course rumored to be one of the easiest in America. While Brendan showcases effortless precision and finishes seven under par, the amateurs struggle with consistency and putting. The experience highlights the vast skill gap between professionals and amateurs, proving that \"easy\" is a relative term based on ability.
We wanted to know what a PGA Tour level golfer would shoot if we took him to the easiest golf course in America.
So we did some research to figure out who our best golfer could be and flew to Scottsdale, Arizona to go play talking stick resort, one of the easiest courses in America.
A quick chat GPT search told me that it was the easiest course in America. When we got there, it may have shown to be a little different.
That's my dude.
That's a story for later.
We met Brendan at the course and prepared ourselves for the round.
We prepared to play 18 holes and hoping that maybe he could break a course record or maybe shoot just lights out to show how easy this course is compared to two average Joe's like ourselves.
Honestly, what ends up happening surprised both of us.
Brendan Jelly at the Talking Stick Peaposh course in Arizona.
This is going to be a good day, man.
I'm looking forward to it, man. I'm pumped.
He is an OSU grad, one of the top golfers there when he was in school.
Won two college tournaments and has played on the Corn Fairy Tour the last three years, making over 60% of the cuts.
Yeah, yeah.
I've been pretty consistent over the years.
Been lucky to play some good golf and good golf courses.
So we'll see how it works out today.
We're playing everything pretty much down.
I guess we got to go 1v1 here.
We can see how we stack up.
This video is sponsored by Golf Gamebook.
You can track our live scores.
It'll show us round by round.
You can see how far Connor and I are going up and down in our handicaps and you can watch us play live right here in the link description below.
Come join and watch a couple of our live rounds.
Connor and I are doing three a month and see who's winning.
Guess goes first on our channel.
All right, let's do it.
This looks like a pretty straightaway par 4.
It says 390 yards.
We're just going to go and rip it right up the green.
That's about as straight as you can hit a golf shot.
That's about perfect.
We'll take that one.
Good ball, Brendan.
Thanks.
I hope you guys enjoy watching Brendan play today.
I'm certainly going to enjoy it.
Should be trying to emulate that as well as I can, but probably have a little more left to ride on this one.
All right, let's get after it.
I think it might be alive.
We'll see.
See how forgiving this resort course is today.
All right, let's get a good driver out there.
Oh, yeah.
Nice.
Got my work cut out for me today.
All right, ladies and gents.
We're going to have some good golf today.
That was solid, Ben.
When searching for the easiest course in America, for some reason, Google told me that this was top three.
And we pull up and sounds like it might not be the easiest course in America.
It may not be top three.
It may not be top five, but we're going to give it a whirl.
We're going to see what we can do.
You know, I love, always love talking stick.
I actually haven't played this side.
I've played the other side before.
So I'm excited to get out there and check it out and see if we can post a couple of numbers.
Yeah, I would say compared probably to what you're used to playing on different tours, like this has got to be one of the easier ones.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's definitely going to be easier than what we see on tour for sure.
I mean, y'all are playing from like 7,400 yards.
Yeah.
It varies from week to week, obviously.
But yeah, I mean, you're always looking at over 7,000 yards and somewhere, you know, 75, 7,600.
Now it's crazy watching some of these guys out there.
See, I mean, things like this are the difference.
Like usually we're playing lift clean in place and we're scrambling.
See the club length.
The club length on this is an entirely different shot.
I'm just going to not hit this tree.
There we go.
You're out.
All right.
That's fairway.
Is that what you would do if you're behind a tree on tour?
Yeah, I think that's probably the smart play.
I think some guys would try to get a little more out of it, but I think that was probably the smart play.
That's fair.
Especially on the first hole, you don't want to hurt yourself.
Yeah.
I really got to focus up here on the short game.
This is with my biggest hindrances.
Oh, baby.
Good shot.
Easy game.
Oh, baby.
That's a pretty putt.
All right.
We got about 55 yards here.
Looks like a middle flag.
Kind of a tricky little shot off this downhill lie.
So we're going to try to one hop one up there, get it to stop close.
Go.
Freaking good shot, dude.
Wow.
Close.
A little deep.
Close.
I'm going to do that.
All right.
What do you call it?
One hop and stop?
Yeah.
Don't think about the last shot.
Shut up, dude.
Shut up.
That's my...
Dude.
All right.
This is the difference of probably me and Brendan.
I can't tell where this is going.
I brought out Old Pink Beauty and tried to run this up close to the hole.
Hang in there.
Okay.
That's a good roll.
Thank you.
Good bunny.
Nice.
Little par.
Good week with a nice four.
All right.
Just got a perfect read on that putt.
I think it's a little left to right.
A little down the hill.
We kind of get the same setup here almost.
We do have a similar setup.
If I don't putt well with this, I'm going to be switching to this later in the round.
All right.
Let's see what we got.
Oh.
Didn't get it there.
Can't leave it short.
Down the hill.
I guess there's not gimme's on tour, is there?
Yeah.
I guess not.
No gimme's on tour.
I guess there's no gimme's today then.
That's your one, Adam.
I already got my one gimme in.
Oh.
It's a good roll, though.
Good putt.
All right.
Nice look at triple here.
It's a triple, I think.
All right.
Good pars, guys.
A little adversity on the first ever heard.
It's a built character.
You'll be all right.
All right.
Good hole all around there for everybody.
Thankfully, nobody really blew up on the first hole today.
On to number two.
All right.
Hole two here.
390-yard par four.
It's your tee box, brother.
All right.
Let's do it.
Almost bird there.
Solid tap-in par.
All right.
A little dogleg left.
Looks like we can be pretty aggressive, so we're going to go ahead and rip another driver.
A little wind off the right blowing about one or two miles an hour.
That is automatic.
That'll work.
Do you normally tee up your ball that low?
I do.
I've always teed it a little lower.
I just hit it straighter that way.
You and Tiger, huh?
Yeah, me and Tiger.
That's kind of who I'm normally grouped with.
Yeah, yeah.
No, I just hit it so much straighter that way.
I probably lose a little distance, but I just feel more comfortable teeing it lower.
It's not going to curve offline.
Something tells me I'm going to tee my ball up a little lower on this shot.
I just feel like trying that out.
That'll work.
Yeah, that'll work.
That's okay?
Yeah, it's like 270 to the right side of it.
Oh, perfect.
Yeah, you're good.
Yo, shout out to the low tee there.
Not many people realize, but this tree really is in play.
Yeah, I clipped it a little bit.
Like 15 yards off the block.
Well, two good balls there.
Try to follow this one up.
It's all bird fly.
Got a big old draw there.
Find it and hit it again, I guess.
Yep.
Dang it.
So we forgot to tell you guys, in honor of us playing with a pro today, for every hole
that me or Adam tie with Brendan, we're going to be giving away something to the guys in
the comments.
So we got golf balls.
We got golf clubs.
We both have to tie or just one of us?
Just one of us.
So you tied them on the last hole.
We got to give away to someone in the comments.
You got to guess me, Adam, and Brendan's score.
That's how you enter.
And we can see when you comment, at what point in the video you comment.
So if you just skip and comment right at the end, we know you're full of it.
Sick.
Hey, we're alive.
I have the wrong club.
I have a pitching wedge and it's 140 yards.
So we're going to have to step on this one because I'm not going back to the cart.
Let's do it.
Oh, did I do it?
Oh my gosh.
Wow.
I smoked that.
All right, this is why you have a caddy.
I just laid up right into a bunker.
Now we've got 100 yards.
So it looks like a pretty accessible pin, but we're just trying to get this thing on
the green and give ourselves a chance.
Go.
All right.
We got ourselves a look.
Was that from the bunker?
Yeah, bunker.
Oh my gosh, dude.
I have never been in a little peninsula here.
I found the cart path, road, grass.
So I'm almost pin high with the flagstick.
I got 100 yards.
Going to throw it up over this car.
There's nothing better than a Toyota, man.
All right.
I got 54.
What a shot.
Thank you.
Come on.
I mean, that's a dart.
Who am I?
All right.
I got a nice little chip here.
I should probably putt this.
This is definitely not a chip.
I'm going to chip it.
See, that just did not roll out nearly as much as I thought it would.
Could have been worse.
Wasn't a horrible chip, actually.
Make that the par.
Are you a field putter?
I'm more of a field putter.
I've never been super mechanical rolling through the bag.
I mean, full swing, everything.
Gosh, this is going to swing.
I'm actually kind of going to Conor's mark.
I think this is breaking a couple feet left or right.
I think I'm going to go just inside it, actually.
It's kind of a nice aiming point.
Picked up some speed.
That's a tough little putt there.
I don't think he wanted to give you a read.
My ball has a good chance of hitting Conor's ball marker right now.
Should I just leave it?
Yeah.
Is it the exact same putt?
Wow.
What would happen on tour if I picked my ball up, my marker up, and hit my ball on accident?
I honestly don't know.
They change the rules, it seems like, every year.
I don't think you'd get strokes.
I think it would just be like you just put it back.
This is a crazy little putt, dude.
Dang, yeah.
Yeah, that snapped.
I'll tap that.
All right, I'll take a boat there.
Better than the first hole.
Good putt.
Thank you.
Gosh, I've got to make this.
Putting is my weakness.
If there's one thing I could improve on, it would definitely be putting.
That's what I'm here to work on.
Oh, does that not break?
I don't know, but I am so bad at putting.
Like I said, if I could just fix one thing in my game right now, it would be putting.
I just can't putt.
Do you think if golf courses were walking only, that it would help pace of play?
You've got some guys that are trying to fly through, and then you've got some guys that are going too slow.
If everybody's walking, it's all going to be the same.
You're not going to be waiting on shots as much.
No.
I just wonder if a lot of people wouldn't want to be able to walk, just because of the older men and stuff.
So how would that work?
We just wouldn't come play that course?
I guess.
And the other thing, too, is I would think about it being a longer round,
so you can get more tee times in if you need to make less money.
Yeah, it's all a money play, probably.
What's a cool shirt, Brett?
This is a new Waggle Summer Drop.
DDG.
No.
DD10.
DD10 for 10% off your order.
Hybrid polo right here.
A little mock collar.
It's pretty cool stuff.
Brandon's got the honors right here, so he's going to go make a hole-in-one.
How many hole-in-ones do you have?
I've got eight hole-in-ones.
A bit of a dry spot, so we might be due for one today.
Is that like lightning, where if it happens once, it's more likely to happen again?
I think it's just luck.
I really do.
I've never seen someone hit a hole-in-one, or also, we've never hit one either.
It's like, this would be an awesome opportunity if he was going to show us the way.
I'll just try a little bit harder, then.
I'll try to make one.
It's got to go.
Got to go.
Got to go in the hole.
Just a tad short.
A little chunky, but got away with it.
You're a little chunky, and my little chunky are two different.
My little chunky is like Lizzo.
Dude, she went on the Olympics.
She's not chunky anymore.
She's still fresh.
She was on David Dobrik's new vlog.
Yeah.
Shaking out butt.
Really?
Bummer, dude.
You're joking.
I'll do a seven there.
I guess you're right.
His chunk and your chunk.
Yeah.
Trying to avoid the chunk.
We're just trying to show you what an average person would play out here against a pro.
It's a long day, bro.
I've got time.
You've got plenty of time.
A little left.
Hang in there.
Oh, yeah.
What a kick.
That's okay.
Oh, man.
I'll be scrambling like crazy today.
To a testament that this probably isn't.
I mean, the greens are a little hard, I think, at this course, but the fact that I can pop
that and be totally fine says a lot.
Like, it rolled up to this bunker.
Kind of in the middle of this 195-yard par three with the tucked in.
Last hole I thought I had a perfect drive down the middle was in a fairway bunker.
I'm starting to think this place is kind of hard, so we're going to have to grind out
here.
I'm sorry.
I'm making this an editing nightmare for you.
That was a good shot by him.
All right, shot two.
Let's get up there and close to the hole, please.
Stop it.
Freaking quit.
Bro, you must hate me or something.
Freaking quit.
I don't know.
I'm so sorry.
Where did that grass even come from, dude?
How did I make more grass with my chunk?
As you can tell, we haven't had our A game today.
Harder course for the average Joe, but easy course for the pro, so we really just want
to focus on the rest of the round on Brendan and see how low he can take it.
We can already tell it's kind of crazy what an easy course is for someone his level versus
an easy course for us.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
We were expecting to break 90, but we were expecting Brendan to break 70 by five or six
strokes.
Yeah.
Well, straight.
That's crazy.
Oh, just pushed it a touch.
Oh, not my best effort there.
It didn't move.
This looks like a pretty good chance for us here.
310 yard par four.
We've got a mini driver in our hands.
Let's see if we can give it a rip on the green.
That's pretty good.
Hang in there.
Battle.
I can't see.
Can you see?
It's a little bit right of the green.
Just a touch.
Almost like 10 high right.
Yeah.
You had a stacked team.
Give us who was on the team and kind of what the environment was like there.
So, when I got there in 2013, we had a lot of good players, older players.
Ian Davis, Taylor Gooch, who a lot of people know.
He's been kind of in the spotlight on the last couple of years.
I mean, gosh, just our team for my senior year was Austin Eckroat, Matt Wolf, Victor
Hovland, Sam Stevens, Zach Boshu, Chris Ventura, myself, of course, and a lot of other really
good players, too, who haven't quite made it up to the PGA Tour yet, but could easily
get there with the potential they have.
Was there some confidence in the locker room a lot of the times that some of these players
were pretty good?
We always felt like our qualifiers and our practices were more intense than the tournaments
a lot of times.
Like, it just, you know, you have all those great players, and like you said, you don't
know, like, if it's going to translate to the next level, if they're going to be, like,
the best players in the world, but we always knew, like, what we had in the locker room.
There was so much talent.
We always pushed each other to get better, and so it was a really good environment for
all of us.
We all got, you know, much, much better from the time we got there to the time we left.
We've got virtually the exact same chip here.
Let's see if we can give it a go.
It looks fairly makeable.
Go in the hole.
Go in.
Go.
Thanks.
Great shot.
Time to get on the board here, make our first birdie.
Good bird.
Come on.
Thank you.
That's what we're talking about.
That's more like it.
He is making this course his son right now.
Me and Adam, on the other hand, not having such an easy time.
He's one under.
I'm now seven over.
We said it was easy for the pros, not easy for the average Joe.
Yes, exactly.
It's still early.
It is crazy that, like, a course, like, going to hold that short, like, he's a locker birdie.
He can drive it with his mini driver to green side and just get up and down.
They rarely duff him like we do.
What do you do in your free time?
Outside of golf?
Do you have hobbies?
Are you married?
Do you have kids?
I am married.
No kids.
I mean, it sounds kind of lame.
My wife and I just don't do a whole lot.
We like to hang out at home.
Like, when I'm in town not traveling, we're usually just relaxed.
But, I mean, we like to do anything outdoors.
Like, we'll go hiking.
We're kind of foodies, so we'll bounce around, find some new restaurants.
Yeah.
All right.
A little par four here.
Actually, kind of a big par four.
450.
A little dog leg right.
Try to get something out there in the fairway.
Give us a chance.
How many?
Beautiful.
That'll do.
I'm just excited to watch him play golf, dude.
He's good at this.
Did I out drive him?
No.
Close.
I think he's going to shoot 500.
66?
That would be pretty crazy to see.
Pretty bad, huh?
You know, we're having a tough start, but there's still a lot of golf left to play.
I believe in these guys.
I think they'll make a little run later in the round.
For now, though, we've got 139 yards in between clubs.
Needs to fade.
A lot.
Where did he go?
Oh, a little deep.
Safety on.
We've got to look at it.
Going to have to make a putt, though.
All right, Connor.
Stop sucking, dude.
OK.
I got it, dude.
I'm going to lock in, OK?
You ready for this?
Yeah.
That's fine.
One, two, three.
OK.
I had a chip for par.
This is rough golf, dude.
It's almost like this course isn't the easiest course.
It's almost like this isn't the easiest course in America.
All right.
Got a little chance to build some momentum here.
15 feet down the hill.
Looks pretty straight.
Yo.
That's a great putt.
That was like a whole three-quarter ball in the freaking nuts.
Did that hurt?
I don't know.
On the bad putt, it was the cup's fault.
I blame talking stick on that one.
Wow, dude.
Great putt.
That was the worst lip I've had in a while, actually.
Kind of glad I got that one out of the way today and not in a tournament.
So what did you Google?
I'm curious on what you Googled.
Dude, I even screenshotted it on my computer.
I was like, what are the easiest courses in America?
And it had one kind of north of Nashville.
And then it had this one as number two.
And then some other random course.
And the other two were like par 60 courses.
So I was like, OK, well, it's got to be a full 18.
So I picked this one.
Looking it up last night, and it's like, no way is that anywhere near the easiest course in America.
I was like, what?
Shorter par four here.
I think it's like 370 on the card.
380.
So try to get one up there and wedge it tight.
That's safe, right?
A little left.
A little left, but it fairly kind of kicks it.
Needs a bounce.
That should be OK.
Tough day, man.
It's just been a tough start for us.
Busy day at Talking Stick.
If that's his bad shot, then he's fine.
What?
It's because you suck.
You're holding everything up right now.
Yeah.
OK.
We're five holes in, still trying to figure out what Connor was Googling when he found
the three easiest courses in America.
Vibes are a little low, so need to have something good happen quickly here.
All right, took a little cart path relief here.
We got 85 yards.
Looks like a pretty gettable pin, so I'm going to try to hit a little lob wedge up there.
A little left.
Left.
Birdie putt.
Other left.
All right, we got a chance.
Another straightish putt up the hill.
Got to break the seal.
I feel like I'm definitely due after that last putt.
I'm still not quite over it, but I'm not 100% over it, but this would go a long way in helping that.
Go.
No way.
Did I go back right?
Just got started a hair right.
It was almost dead straight again.
I think I just hit it right where I was looking, basically.
What's your course record?
My lowest is 59.
I've shot 59 tries.
Golly.
Yeah.
So Indian Springs, which is in Oklahoma, which is where I'm from, and then I shot 59 at my
home course, also in Oklahoma at Cedar Ridge.
Dude, that's awesome.
Yeah.
That's the spot.
Yeah, apparently you guys need to go to Oklahoma and get some good scores out of me.
In those days where you shot a 59, do you remember, did you have any bad shots?
I mean, yes, but the bad shots would turn out fine.
You have to have everything go right to shoot 59.
Those days, you hit one in the trees, it kicks out in the fairway, or it kicks down in the
good lie, and then you make a long putt to make up for it.
You kind of have to have everything go right.
All right.
We finally got a par five here.
I feel like this is our opportunity to get things rolling.
500 yards, I think.
Looks like a dog lay right, so we're going to try to cut the corner and see if we can
get ourselves a scoring club in.
Is that too far right?
I don't know.
I think it opens up a little bit over there.
Just hit one.
The guy at the bag drop told me to cut it over the right edge of the corner of the bunker,
so.
Oh, did he really?
I'm putting my faith in his advice.
We'll see what happens.
He had a tough putt.
It almost went in.
A stop on the edge.
Another one?
Yeah.
Dude, he could be four under right now.
188 from the right rough.
We've got eight iron in our hands, but I feel like it may not be enough.
We're going to give it a go.
It looks like short's okay.
Let's see what we can do here.
Get there.
Get up just a touch.
Stay.
Is that green?
Yeah.
I think you've got a piece up there.
Yeah, I think it's fine.
Take that.
We've got an eagle look.
That's what I'm talking about.
It's honestly kind of insane how consistent his game is.
It's like you're not seeing any of these lights out, super long, insane shots.
It's just consistent every single hole.
Fairways in regulation.
Greens in regulation.
No three putts.
No dubs.
Just consistent golf that he knows is going to make a par on every single hole and hopefully
knock down some birdie opportunities with the flat stick.
Got a good chance here.
Pretty straight putt again.
So this is the one that breaks the seal.
I feel like I'm just putting it thin air right now.
Can't leave an eagle putt short.
I'm one more missed putt away from starting aim point, so this better go in.
Good bird.
Thanks.
We'll take it.
We're trending.
Slow and steady wins the race.
He is two under now through eight.
I am still, I think I'm nine over.
If I par this next one, then I'll feel fine.
I can get away with a couple of pars in the back and break 90 still.
This round is not falling apart yet.
Okay.
Got another good par four here.
It says 430, so we're going to try to cut the corner a little.
Dogleg right.
Try to get something up there in the fairway.
We've been missing the last couple of fairways.
Good shot.
That's better.
Thanks.
Good catch on the tracer there too.
Muscle memory is really a thing.
It's been a struggle so far.
I'll get the hang of it.
Yeah, muscle memory is tough.
That's why I keep slicing it straight into the right side.
What's the training and stuff look like right now?
What's the focus?
Really starting next week, my schedule gets pretty jam-packed.
I've been grinding pretty good, practicing a lot the last few weeks,
getting ready for it, gearing up for it.
My schedule looks a little bit different this year.
It's not quite as set as it was the last three or four years
when I was playing on the Corn Prairie Tour.
A lot of practicing, a lot of playing to get ready for it.
It's a grind.
I'll be on the road the next four straight weeks.
Physically, got to be in good shape, ready for all that.
What is it you're prepping for?
Some different tournaments that are coming up?
I'm going to be playing a mix of some Corn Prairie Monday qualifiers.
I've applied for a couple of sponsor exemptions as well,
so maybe I'll get lucky and get into a Corn Prairie event or two that way.
If not, I'll play kind of a mix of some mini-tour events.
It really just kind of depends on how some of those qualifiers go, really.
All right, we finally got some momentum here.
130 yards, middle of the fairway, green light flag.
Looks like it's a little downwind.
Got to be careful.
Pretty underwhelming shot there.
That's not very good.
Facing a little diversity here.
I'm going to putt it.
Go Texas wedge here.
If I can't make it from on the green, maybe we can make one from off the green.
Oh, good roll.
Hey, Ben.
Hello.
This is for birdie.
I almost got it halfway there again.
There it is.
Straight par.
Good boy.
So we're at the turn.
Two under, 10 over.
No, 11 over, 8 or 9 over, 8 over.
We got some work to do.
This shows you how out of it I am right now.
I just gave a whole little outro on that tee box.
I mean, on that green.
Tee box?
Bro, why do you think you like this right now?
I don't know, man.
And I was like, oh, we're at the turn now.
I'm this over.
And it was number 8.
All right, number 9.
11 over, 8 over, 2 under.
I believe in you.
157.
Got a little bit of helping wind.
I'm going to hit a wedge.
See if it gets back there.
Kind of feels like a hole in one shot.
I'm not going to lie.
Mm, wind's got it a little.
All right.
Hang on.
That was pretty conservative, but it's makeable.
Putting.
Him and Adam tied on the last hole, which means that's another giveaway.
So that's two giveaways in the comments right now.
I got a 9 iron, 157 yards.
Get it back there.
Don't throw it, dude.
Don't throw it.
I don't understand this freaking game, dude.
It doesn't make any sense.
I'm about to make this close.
Catch a piece there.
Oh, it's way short.
Weird.
Couple good looks at it.
Time to grind.
One of these days, it's all going to come together.
It's going to click one day, right?
It's going to click.
It might be on this back 9.
I need it to be on this back 9.
It's for all the marbles.
This is what you've been working up to.
Every shot you've ever had in your whole entire life for this one bunker shot
on the hardest, easiest course in the world.
Connor Sibley.
Oh, what a shot.
Good shot, Connor.
Great shot.
Thank you for that pep talk.
That actually helped me.
Yeah.
That was fire.
That was great.
I'm sorting the game out.
You know, comparing yourself to a pro golfer like Brendan is really tough.
Yeah.
I mean.
One of us had to play happily.
Yeah.
Thankfully, I'm starting to get some good shots here.
Feeling like, you know, I'm going to have to come back a little bit.
If you make this, I'll let you touch my chip bag.
You have a fanny pack full of jalapeno chips right now, which is pretty cool.
I need to chip this close.
Connor hit a great shot out of the bunker, huh?
Mm-hmm.
Or hit it over the green.
OK.
Try that again.
It's just so easy why even try, huh?
Yeah.
It's just too easy.
So easy.
I mean.
Well, I just wanted to chip in here.
It's got to be in the top three at least, I would think.
But I'd have to check Google.
Some days are just harder than others.
I don't understand this game.
Why does it have to be this hard?
Try.
All right.
What do we think?
Is this the putt that's finally going to go in?
I feel like I've been waiting all day for this moment.
So we'll see if this is the one.
Get in there.
Good putt.
All right.
This will be a crazy par.
Right?
This is a great goal on my end.
This is for both of us.
Bang.
Good putt.
Nice.
When you're playing in a tournament, do you feel like the round that the person you're
playing with is having affects your round at all?
I think it can.
I feel like when guys are making putts and playing well, it kind of feeds into your game
and you can start playing more freely sometimes.
Yeah.
So you've got to count then at least a couple strokes off of your game to play with us today.
I'm trying to say I'd probably be four or five under if I was playing.
No, I'm just kidding.
So this video is sponsored by Golf Gamebook.
Golf Gamebook is your number one app for in-golf feed.
You can follow your friends, track your handicap, track your scores, multi-group scoring.
It has multiple different live leaderboards, GPS range findings, support over 20 game formats
like skins, match play, scramble, built-in networking tools that let you hang out with
your buddies and message them.
There's also a smartwatch integration, so if you're wearing your Apple Watch or iOS
device, it'll actually track it on your watch.
You don't have to worry about bringing your phone up to the tee box.
My favorite is the GPS, how you can see the whole course, where you find your carries
and stuff like that on the course so you know where to hit it.
You can also track historical data as fairways hit, putts, greens and regulations, and you
can compare them against your friend's performance.
We can actually track who's hit more greens and regulations throughout our round using
Golf Gamebook.
It's pretty cool.
Probably an easy one to track there.
Shout out to Golf Gamebook.
We got ourselves a back nine now.
You are two under right now?
Two under.
I think I am 11 or 12 over, and Adam is 8 over.
So I got my work cut out for me.
I think you just got to get a couple of those putts rolling, and you're chilling.
I need a couple of putts to fall.
We'll be good.
Back nine heater incoming.
Par 4, what is this, 400 at 380?
It says 373.
That seems like a perfect opportunity to start the nine off with.
Birdie.
Leaking a touch right.
I think that's fine.
She's fine.
That was a bit of a lunch swing there, but that'll work.
A lunch swing?
Lunch swing.
Time for the back nine, baby.
Time for a rally.
You look good, babe.
Probably used a little bit of a tan, but you look good.
Lunch swing.
We got to get Brendan a jelly up partnership.
This is the last time he's jelly.
He eats a lot of PB&Js.
Smuckers.
A little Smuckers deal.
Is that the NBA?
Smuckers makes jelly.
NBA just signed a brand new PB&J deal.
Oh, I saw that.
It might have been.
Maybe so.
I'm not an idiot.
You there, brother?
Free lunch swings.
Yeah.
Oh, boy.
Come on.
This is going to get scrappy.
Get one safe for the employee.
But this is going to be a scrappy for the employee.
I wonder if I even hit this tree, am I?
Oh, good out.
There we go.
Yeah, that was nice.
Solid.
All right, I'm just punching out here.
Leaving back in the fairway.
Got to get up and down for bogey.
Hey.
How are you?
Kind of sad.
How are you?
This is the golf game?
You're probably becoming a dad this month.
I just hate watching you play so bad.
It makes me sad.
It really doesn't feel good.
All right, we got away with it.
Not the best drive, but we got 75 yards.
Looks like the pin's right on top of the little rope, so a little tricky here.
But I'm going to try to go for another one-hop stopper.
Oh, yeah.
Birdie putt.
All right.
Well done.
You got a pretty good chance for birdie.
I'm feeling a chip in.
What'd you say?
I said I'm feeling Connor chipping this in.
Mm-hmm.
Solid divot, bro.
I got you.
Don't worry about it.
I'll fill it in.
You go to the next one.
You just go back up there.
I shot a 78 on Friday.
Did you now?
You hit a 78 with a shambles.
No, it was a shambles.
No, I didn't, actually.
All right, it's a chip off now, baby.
Rock.
Paper.
Scissors.
If I can get this up and down for par here, let's get it close, and then make a putt,
I'll be feeling better than Connor.
Astrid, I'm sure.
Oh, good shot.
Nice.
There it is.
Just like that, Benjamin.
For real.
This point forward, I'm locking in.
I'm only focusing on golf.
You're a dark, dirty mid now, okay?
That's fine.
Good putt.
What's the practice look like?
Like, if I need to practice golf, what do I do?
Because basketball, I just go, I put up shots, I do some drills.
And then, how do you practice golf?
All I know is just go to the range and start hitting that target.
Yeah, I mean, that's the tough thing about golf, is there's not, like, one way to practice.
Like, everything, like, it's different for everyone.
You do have to put in the time, like you do in the gym.
Like, when you're getting up shots, like, you need to go and hit putts.
Like, just go grind.
Like, hit 100 three-footers in a row.
That's the tough thing, is, like, it's kind of quality over quantity a lot of times.
So, you want to make sure you're working on the right stuff.
Okay.
This is going to be the one.
12 feet.
Blood gates are going to open after this one goes in.
Open up.
Without a doubt, the worst putt I've hit in five years.
He's just trying to fit in with us.
That's all it is.
Thanks for making us feel better.
If that's the worst in five years, though.
Imagine watching him just hit these putts over the green.
Bogey.
I sucked.
We're really feeding off of each other.
Triple.
Awesome.
Good start.
For me, I mean, y'all are fine.
Let me drag you down.
I'm locking in from this point forward.
Maybe comeback season was a stretch.
Yeah.
It always looks good for one hole, and the next three are just atrocious.
So, we're just going to lock in, let Brendan take over.
Let's see if Brendan can break 65.
There's an eagle opportunity on 18.
It would be clutch for him to drive the green.
350-yard par 4 over the water.
Kind of in a spot here where we need to get a little more aggressive.
He's making a lot of pars.
So, we're going to give it a rip at the green.
Got to keep it a little bit right to avoid that water.
Good shot.
He has hit every single green in regulation except for one.
And the one that he missed, he was in the fringe.
I mean, the shots that he's unhappy with are just amazing.
Kind of in shambles on the green right now.
Really debating whether I should putt this next one left-handed
or maybe just switch to a wedge.
Kind of open to any ideas at this point.
Kind of an awkward little pitch here.
I'm going up a rise.
Give myself a little tap in birdie.
Make it easy on myself so I don't have to make a putt.
Good shot.
All right.
Take that.
Hey, man.
Don't compare it to my shots, you know?
Not everyone can be as good as you can.
I do this for a living.
Yeah.
True.
Up the edge.
Six feet down the hill.
Got to go.
The lips, man.
Oh, my goodness gracious.
It's all right, guys.
Y'all will get it.
Don't worry about it.
It'll start coming, guys.
I don't know how people play 18-hole matches all the time like this.
It's so hot.
It's like eight-hour days.
It's so hot.
It's so nasty.
All right.
A little bit of a straightish dogleg to the right.
Not a full dogleg, like a little dog, like a Yorkie.
This hole, basically, it's going to be a little straight,
but like a little to the right, like a dogleg.
Is it going right at all?
Yeah.
But, like, if you think about a little dog.
Uh-huh.
Oh, like a Yorkie?
Yes.
Oh, okay.
I'm a little flustered right now.
I'm trying to get over the last, I don't know, 11 holes.
Trying to, you know.
It's definitely the easiest course in America, right?
Yeah.
Well, I think we've single-handedly moved it out of the top 10 for sure.
I mean, just through 11 holes.
So I really think eventually this is going to turn for us,
and maybe it's this hole.
So I'm hoping this little dogleg right is going to turn the tides for us.
Yeah, that's how you shape it.
Money, money, money.
There it is.
See how that's going a little bit to the right?
That's what we like to see.
The green's that direction, yeah?
Looks like we're in pretty good shape off the tee.
Still debating whether or not I should putt left-handed,
especially after that last putt just squeaked by again from six feet.
Not in a good place mentally right now.
Really need to bounce back here.
Also a little worried about where we're driving over there with the other guys.
Seems like we might be going off property to look for this one.
90 yards.
Back flag.
Got to be a little careful going long here.
But at the same time, unless I hit this to tap in,
it seems like I'm probably destined to make another par.
So we're going to get aggressive.
Try to knock this one tight.
Oh, yeah.
Up there.
Good shot.
Okay, got a putt at it.
Pretty straight.
This putt went a little bit left,
so I think this is probably also going to go just a smidge towards the casino.
There's a casino?
Yeah.
Crap, baby.
Oh, yeah.
Might be heading there soon.
That's where I'm getting my redemption.
That putt almost went right.
To the other side.
What?
Ah, I can't believe I missed that.
That is another par-par tie for Adam and Brendan.
So that means another giveaway.
I mean, that scorecard for him is crazy.
Par-par-par-par birdie.
That's what they do.
It's just so consistent.
I've got a gap wedge here.
I've got a 52 degree.
It's like kind of a small green.
So I think we can be fairly aggressive here, though.
From 128, it's going to be the hole-in-one hole.
Quit it.
Yeah, not the best, not the worst.
All right, at this point, I kind of get a go for everything.
So I'm going to flop shot up over this bunker.
See if we can do something cool.
That was pretty cool.
That was sick, dude.
That was tight.
This is a tight lie.
I might regret chipping this, but I'm going to do it anyways
because I want to practice it.
I regretted it.
Bro.
Hell no.
Left to right.
That's to break the casino.
Can't be upset about that one.
No, that one's fine.
Kind of insane.
Like, we're both hitting the ball.
Like, we're streaky.
Some pars, you might even throw a birdie in there.
I'll have a couple pars and then, like, an eight.
He's just so consistent.
Never hitting hardly any bad shots.
Even when he does, he's still got a chance for a par.
He's always scrambling.
If he misses the green, he's going to make a par out of it.
No matter what.
Kind of insane.
He's got a single bogey.
Got a par five.
A little dogleg left.
What fairway it looks like.
What do we think?
You can take it, like, up the right.
I guess you've got to go more right.
I'm thinking, like, this is the right one.
We can see kind of left.
Maybe there's another one up there we just can't see.
Across the wash.
I'm just going to hit it up the right, I think.
That looks good.
It's up that right fairway.
Yeah.
Bouncing flat.
Okay.
Well, if you guys ever come out here and want to do a hardest course,
I'd be happy to have you out to my place.
Because you can ask Hannah tomorrow or anyone.
It's so hard.
Is it?
Yeah.
Not that we're making this look very easy.
We were lining up Silverleaf with Pat Perez.
Yeah.
And then he had something fall through this kid and he couldn't make it.
Silverleaf's really fun.
I mean, obviously, it's discovery.
But it's not very hard.
It's pretty easy.
Okay.
Two fifteen into this par five.
Got five iron in our hands.
Seems like a good scoring opportunity, but it looks like a tough pin.
So, going to need to put a good swing on this one.
Oh, yeah.
Come on, baby.
That's more like it.
An easy game.
Sick.
Too easy.
Sick shot.
This is going to be the one that drops.
Fifteen feet for eagle.
I think it has to go a little left, but I missed everything right today.
So, we're going to go a little straighter.
Come on, baby.
Let's go.
So, is that four?
That's an eagle.
It gets me to four.
So, we're trending.
Come on, baby.
That's what I'm talking about.
All right.
Well, that's another three on the board.
I was as many over par as he had total strokes on this hole.
That's pretty impressive.
Good hole, bro.
Come on.
Thank you.
Have you had the same caddy for your career, or have you switched it up?
So, one of my best friends had a caddy for me the last handful of years.
He was awesome, and then he decided it wasn't for him anymore.
So, I had to find a new caddy last year, and he was great, too.
So, what's that process like of finding a new caddy?
Yeah.
I mean, for me, I need someone who is not only knowledgeable about golf,
but someone I can go out to dinner with, hang out with, because you're traveling,
you're on the road, like, you know, 20 to 25 weeks a year.
So, it was awesome that I had, like, a close friend out there.
But, like, you need someone that knows what their stuff, and they can help you out on the course, too.
Like, you don't want to be pairing a guy around for no, you know, just for fun.
Right.
No point.
Some guys just have, like, basically just a full-time employee that just does strictly golf,
helps them just on the course, and then they don't speak off the course.
And it works for them, too.
It would just be a crazy environment to be around, too.
It's like, I'm here strictly for business.
I'm not going to talk to you.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
They're just, I mean, everyone's a little bit different.
Like, for me, I need someone that I can talk to.
You're too nice of a guy that you have to have a friend.
Yeah, I've got to have someone I can talk to.
Like, you know, when things aren't going well, like, there's going to be times when you're not playing good.
I need someone I can just, like, talk about something other than golf.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what I look for.
I wouldn't pick you as my caddie, sorry.
No, that's fair.
I wouldn't pick me, either.
All right.
A little dogleg right, par 4.
We're going mini driver on this one.
Bunker out there, like, 315.
So, I'm going to try to keep it short of that.
Maybe a little left of it.
Oh, yeah.
Gorgeous.
A little R7 action.
That'll do.
P7, is that what you meant?
P7?
R7 quad.
R7.
What did you say?
You said R7.
It's called R7 quad.
Oh, I thought you were talking about P7.
Oh, the position.
Yeah, yeah.
I was like, I'm pretty sure it's called the R7.
Driver.
Fairway, hopefully.
I'm being lazy with it.
Hey, Eli.
Hey.
Draw or straight?
Draw.
Straight ball.
A little cut.
Maybe it's to the right of it or something.
It's bouncing.
It bounced two or three times.
I think it's fine.
I'm just doing the opposite of what you say every time.
Sounds good.
All right.
Three.
Three off the tee.
Now what?
Five off the tee?
I don't know.
I'll just drop up there.
All right.
108.
I sand wedged my hands.
For some reason, all the greens look the same.
They're like, a little rise.
Pin's right on top.
So, I'm going to try to fly it right on top.
Hit the stop right next to the hole.
Monster.
Oh, yeah.
He's heating up, baby.
There we go.
Now we're playing some golf.
That's more like it.
It's got to be right.
Hedge.
Do something good.
Oh.
Oh, my gosh.
So, four under.
Four under.
Something.
I'm borderline DNF here.
But things are good.
He's trending towards the 66 number.
We'll get to 66.
Par five.
Dog leg left, and then back to the right at the end.
Looking for another eagle here.
I think we need to go up kind of the right center.
Yeah.
Beautiful.
You swung hard on that one.
Thank you.
Go.
Get out of there.
Go.
Good shot.
Thanks.
15 holes in now.
I'm going to go ahead and say it's definitely not the third easiest golf course in America,
or anywhere.
Probably not even the third easiest course within 10 miles of this casino.
We're not making many putts.
We're not making many birdies.
I think we're four under right now with three to play.
Going to try to squeeze a few more out and see if we can get this thing down in the mid
to low 60s.
183 into this par five.
Should be like a perfect eight iron.
Thinking it might be time to dial up another eagle and see if we can get this thing going.
That is not going right at it.
Catch a piece.
Get over?
Catch a piece.
Oh.
Oh, no.
Horrible bounce.
Not a good bounce.
Not a good shot.
God, this guy stinks, man.
This guy stinks.
He's only got an eagle chip.
All right.
Let's see what we can do here.
Oh, baby.
Come on.
Stay there.
And we got the uphill.
Another uphill putt.
15th one here.
Got to go a touch left.
Let's go.
Just enough.
Come on.
We'll take that.
All right.
He's five under with two to go.
He is having no trouble with this course, even though I think we've declared it is not the
easiest course in America, by any means.
But definitely not too hard for him.
158.
Par three here.
17.
I think we're going to take dead aim.
Might as well just try to keep the birdies going to finish these last two.
Got a little nine iron.
Going to take a little bit off of it here.
Maybe even a little deep.
Just a touch deep.
Yeah.
It's just kind of in between there.
But he's got a shot at it.
All right.
For some reason, I like the look of this.
I think this one's probably going to go in.
It's like 90% chance, I would say.
Come on.
It's a great putt.
It's hard to make putts if you don't get it to the hole.
I thought that was like six feet short.
That was a great roll.
It just kept going.
As you can tell, he's going to be playing lights out no matter what.
His worst stuff is way better than our best game.
And I mean, there's a reason why he's a pro.
And we're the average golfer on YouTube with a 12 handicap.
Yeah.
This just looks so easy.
Like, it's nothing crazy.
But he's just so on the money.
And then next thing you know, he snuck out a few birdies in all these pars.
And he's got a chance to really shoot a pretty insane score.
18 is drivable.
You can drive it on the green and make an eagle.
This is a big hole.
This goes from being like, oh, pretty good round to like, oh,
what just happened if he hits this ball on the green?
We are officially on our last hole of the day.
Connor is at 32 over.
What are you?
Dude, it's bad.
I don't know.
I think I'm probably 26 over.
I don't know.
Are you breaking 100 yet?
So that's 90, 97.
Say, just make a par here.
Sweet.
This man is playing lights out.
He's got one hole left.
One hole left.
500 par.
Short little par four.
I'm going mini driver.
It's about 300 yards to the pin.
I think if we hit a go, we can hit it on the green here.
Does that have it?
Stay left.
Oh.
Oh, go in.
Is that on the green?
Yeah, that's like 18.
Oh, my gosh, dude.
Come on.
Best for last.
Come on.
Best for last.
There we go.
Unreal.
Mini driver.
Wow, dude.
300 yards to the mini driver.
That is money.
Thank you.
Heck of a shot.
Thanks.
That's the glory shot right there.
That's money.
I'm going to hopefully not shank this.
Dude, I'm just leaving it so open.
Oh, that's crazy.
I was really hitting driver good before today.
Not my best round today, but I got to see some awesome stuff, so that's good.
I'm just going five wood.
Oh, good swing.
Go.
I towed it.
Go.
Win, maybe?
Yes.
That's perfect.
Oh, good shot.
It's in the fairway?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, it's just short of the green.
Right over that red stake.
Bro, is he about to roll in an eagle to finish this off and shoot seven under right now?
64 would be insane, especially when he's had like four birdie lifts up to the air.
A little bit disappointed with the effort I put out there today, but we're five under.
Just hit a mini driver to about 15 feet per eagle on the last.
Try to roll that one in for a 64.
Feel a little bit better about myself.
See what happens.
I just got some stuff to figure out.
Glad you figured it out.
That was the farthest five wood of my life.
I hit that 270 yards with a five wood.
I need to make a birdie.
Get this close.
I need to do something good to end the day on.
Dang, dude.
What a shot.
Oh, go in the hole.
Oh, wow.
Good shot.
Great shot.
I thought it went in for a second.
I thought that was in.
I said I was going to end the day on a birdie, and that's what I'm going to do.
Almost a two.
Let's see if we can finish with a two here.
Pretty straight.
Feels like a lot of the putts I've had today, it's up the hill and straight.
If you make this, I'm jumping in the pond.
All right, it's a deal.
Come on!
Six was awesome.
Come on, bro.
Good hole, baby.
Come on.
What a way to finish it off.
Thank you.
The camera just died.
Actually?
After he made it in.
He made it, though?
Yeah, he made it.
Wow, good timing on that one.
Was it flashing at you?
It usually gives you a good amount of time.
Yeah, it must have overheated.
Nice.
Two birds.
Two birds on the last hole here.
That was awesome.
I enjoyed it.
That was great.
I think we figured out it's not the easiest course in America.
It's not the easiest in America.
But you freaking had your way with it.
You did seven under.
You had three lip outs.
One of those looked like it bounced off the bottom of the cup.
It felt like it was right there.
I just couldn't get any putts to fall to the last five or six holes.
But that's the way it goes.
It's a tough game.
If you want to follow Brendan, the socials will be in the description below.
And we'll be turning them on this season.
Bro, we appreciate you doing that, man.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, that was awesome.
It was great meeting you all.
Yeah, thank you.
Toodles.
