Relive and share your creations with Time-lapse Replay in Procreate.
Learn to Procreate is a series of bite-size videos demonstrating some of the most important features and workflow
AI Generated·May contain errors
Procreate remembers every step you take along the way and lets you relive and share that journey.
This is called Time Lapse Recording. We can find this in Actions, then Video, and at the top of
this list we have Time Lapse Replay. Tap this to instantly see a replay of our artwork's entire
creation. Once a replay starts we can scrub with one finger through the timeline and then lift
away to continue playback. We can freely zoom and pan at any time during a replay, which is great if
we'd like to focus on a specific part of our process. To end a replay we tap Done in the corner
here. To share our time lapse head back to our Video tab and at the bottom we have Export Time
Lapse Video. Here we can export the entire time lapse or if we tap the 30 second button then our
replay will be condensed to within 30 seconds. The toggle here is used to stop and start our
time lapse recording. When we toggle recording off we get asked if we'd like to purge the time
lapse entirely. We purge this. When it's gone it is gone. That's why we made the button very very red.
We're going to keep the time lapse for now so we'll hit Don't Purge and we can toggle this back on
when we'd like to resume recording our work. To set up the quality of our time lapse recordings
we need to jump over to Settings, scroll down until we find Procreate, then Time Lapse Recording
Quality. Here we have a few options for quality or we can disable Time Lapse completely. It is worth
mentioning that every canvas will keep its quality settings as they were when the canvas was created.
So any changes here will only apply to a canvas created after this time. Any important information
we need about our time lapse can be found in Actions and Canvas, then Canvas Information
and we have all of the video information at the bottom of this list.
