Carmine Sabia analyzes the ideological shift within the Democratic Party, arguing that establishment leaders are being displaced by Democratic Socialists (DSA) and Marxist ideologies. He highlights a growing divide between traditional liberals and radical activists, suggesting that fear of primary challenges has paralyzed party leadership and opened the door for far-left influence.
Hey ladies and gentlemen this is Carmine Sabia for your Explain America evening brief. We have a lot
of big news for you today. Very sad news about Senator Charles Schumer. A kind of interesting
statement by Senator Cory Booker and some more information about Mandomni all coming right at
you. Before we get started I want to thank everybody who likes, comments, shares, and subscribes and
everybody who hits the super thanks button and everybody who watches the videos all the way to
the end. We love you guys for that. New Jersey Democrat Senator Cory Booker has been a complete
embarrassment to the state of New Jersey. This guy in my opinion just wants to be president. I think
he sees himself as the next President Obama. I think he has seen himself that way for a long time
and I think he says what he says and does what he does because he thinks it's going to get him to
that place. That place where he desperately wants to be. But he's exasperated he says with the
Democrat party he's had it with the way they behave and of course he used the opportunity to
smash Donald Trump right because never miss an opportunity to do that if you're a Democrat.
But he says he's given something up in this in this cycle that his other Democrat colleagues
mainly have not largely have not and he's angry about it and he wants you to hear about it so
let's take a look. You have been I think answering that hunger from Democrats to be seen as fighting
you did the filibuster early in Trump's second term. What are you what are you hearing from
from voters that people appreciate most from Democrats right now? Well I think it's truth
telling and it's even being willing to criticize your own party. Look a lot of this problem that
we're seeing right now that enabled Donald Trump to even get into office. It's a road that was
paved in part by by Democrats failing to show the kind of strength and leadership that we need
right now. We have been feckless in ways that really frustrate me. In other words we've allowed
corruption to creep into to Washington D.C. at levels that are stunning. I mean the way corporate
PACs are playing right now the way money and politics it's why over a decade ago I said I'm
not going to take corporate PAC money. I've given up now all PAC money when it comes to these issue
area PACs. We have a country whose Supreme Court is overly influenced by billionaires as they accept
lavish gifts with no consequence. We have a president who's clearly the most corrupt in
history and we have a Congress on both sides of the aisle from stock trading to the way corporations
and large billionaires play. It's unjust and so I think voters want to hear leaders are saying
we are going to make it central to restoring trust in our democracy by ending this kind of
corruption that's been normalized and by focusing on the issues that you're concerned with which is
unrigging the system and making it work for working families. And as bad as what Booker said is for the
Democrats it's actually not as bad as what just happened in another state in Wisconsin where
there's now a clear road to the Democrat nominee for governor and I mean listen let's face it
they're probably going to become the governor of the state. It's a very Democrat state
but Mandela Barnes who a lot of people pegged in the beginning of this as the obvious successor
to Evers has dropped out of the race and who did he drop out of the race to? He dropped out of the
race to a Democrat Socialist. Somebody who is taking over the party. Now to this particular
Democrat Socialist credit, Ms. Hong, she does not support abolishing the police, abolishing prisons,
defunding the police, abolishing the Senate, abolishing the presidency. She doesn't subscribe
and she's been on the record just as recently as today as saying she doesn't abide by those
extreme positions which is something that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has not said, that
Zorhan Mandami has not said, that Johan Omar has not said, that Rashida Tlaib has not said.
So I give her credit for that but this goes to the point of the establishment Democrats
are literally collapsing. They are collapsing. There's nothing left for them. They are losing
races to these Democrat Socialists because people like free stuff and they especially
like free stuff when it's taken from people who have money because they feel that if you have money
somehow you took it from them. Somehow it should be theirs. Jealousy plays very well for the
Democrats and that's a big part of the rise of Democrat Socialism. Let's take a look at this.
We want to come to you with a little bit of breaking news out of Wisconsin just a moment ago
in that gubernatorial primary race. Mandela Barnes announced he's suspending his campaign.
He's dropping out of the race and a social media video that he just put up just a matter of minutes
ago all but assures that the DSA candidate Francesca Hong is going to be the Democratic
nominee. What is your reaction to this developing situation? Well I mean it's shocking news. I know
Mandela worked hard when he was running for the United States Senate and when he and Governor
Evers ran for Governor and Lieutenant Governor. So that is really really shocking news to me and
I mean it just means that that seat's going to be a hard one for we're going to have to focus
all of our energy and our resources to try to hold that seat in terms of a Democrat in the
governor's mansion. But that's very shocking to me. And you don't need a lot more evidence to know
that the Democrat Socialists have taken over this party. You see it there right an establishment
Democrat knocked out knocked out of the race gone just like that because the Democrat Socialists
decided they wanted that spot. This is happening all over the country. A lot of people thought
well it'll be California, it'll be New England, it'll be Oregon, it'll be New York. No this is
happening all over the country because free stuff is appealing to people who don't have much
and never had a desire to work or any ambition. There's a lot of people that are struggling
financially on our side but we always have the ambition and we have ambition for our children
and our grandchildren. They don't have that. What they have is entitlement. They believe they're
entitled to certain things. So it's not surprising I guess but it kind of I guess blindsided the
Democrats here when you have people like Adam Schiff going on national television on CNN
asked about Democrat Socialism and this this what did Trump call him pencil neck
this pencil neck with an enormous head I would call him Beaker from the Muppets goes on national
TV and welcomes the Democrat Socialists to his party. It reminds me I said it before I'll say
it again it reminds me of what you see from the Spanish Prime Minister right now.
Welcome in the migrants that are murdering our people why not come on come come one come all.
This is the same mental disorder that Democrats have in this country.
They they believe in if you can go back to World War II with liberals they believe in appeasement
they believe in it and it fails by the way every time because the people you appease are aggressive
so your appeasement means nothing to them they're still going to run you over they are still going
to trample you. Apparently Schiff didn't get that memo and maybe he didn't take history class.
Let's take a look at this. We've got a new poll out here at CNN tonight which finds
about just over a third actually of Democrats now identify as Democratic Socialists. 59 percent of
them right so 60 percent are younger than the age of 45. Are you on board with this? Do you see this
you know accept this that this is where your party's going and are you good with it? Look I
think we're a big tent party I think we should be a big tent party and I would rather be in that big
tent in the majority than be a smaller party that is stuck forever in the minority. But Schiff senses
the way the winds are blowing he understands he understands that he could just like that
be removed from the Senate during his next election by a Democrat Socialist in California.
In fact the way things are going I'd say it's likely. Why? Because you have now some
mandomani news that has shocked the Democrat party to their core. This is a problem guys.
It's not just a problem for Democrats it's a problem for us too. I'm trying to explain that
if our opponent are straight up Communists then everything's on the line in every election.
You know you can look back to the Democrats that have run in the past 20 years
and they all had one thing in common besides bad ideas. They're all at least Capitalists.
They're all at least reasonable. They always believed in law and order and and doing you know
certain things normal. That's gone. And right now what do we find out? The number one rated
Democrat in the entire country. Number one. Thank God he's not he's not born in the United States.
He can never be president unless they pass some kind of amendment which is not going to happen.
Is Zoran Mandomani. Number one across the country most popular among Democrats. That's downright
terrifying. It is downright terrifying that that's where we are. This man is a basic Marxist
and he's number one. And who? Who's he number one with? Kids. The young people. The schools
that all Americans have paid a fortune to send their kids to were actually indoctrination camps
in my opinion for the Communists of America the Socialists of America. They were indoctrination
camps and they are now reaping their evil rewards. Let's take a look. Interesting things about that.
I mean two things. One I mean yes the educational polarization has been driven. I would argue
actually it was more driven by Donald Trump pulling non-college educated whites toward him.
But he is suffering with that constituency right now. He that's his that's his base and they're
moving away from him. I also think Zoran Mandomani is an interesting example of this because look at
this favorability number. He is the most popular Democrat among Democrats right now right by a lot.
It was like something like that. But I mean in comparison to everyone else. And then when you
look a little deeper into the numbers there was some skepticism of him among voters of color.
But that has shifted. He has net favorability among voters of color in the Democratic Party
right now. And what does it all culminate with? It culminates with our top story today.
Chuck Schumer the leader of the Democrat Party has failed his party. He's failed America. Look
I believe if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decides that she wants to be the senator from New York
she'll turn Schumer's lights out just like that. Just like that. Without even a second thought.
Roll over him like a steam iron. And there's nothing you can do about it in reality.
And that's why you know as this one Republican pundit puts it Hugh Hewitt
Schumer is paralyzed. He is paralyzed right now in what he can do. If he goes against them
he's gone. But if he doesn't go against them he's gone. The only hope he has
is that he flies under the radar long enough that they don't challenge him in 2028.
That they let him stay. Let the old man stay. That's not going to happen because I believe
if it's not AOC it will be Mandomni that challenges him for that spot in the Senate
and he'll win. Mandomni will roll over him like a rolling pin on pizza dough. Nothing.
He'll just roll right over him. I guarantee it. I guarantee it. I think AOC will roll over him too.
He has to pray that these two people don't want to take him out and that somebody else in New York
doesn't rise up to do it. Yeah he is completely paralyzed right now in what he can do. And that's
sad not just for him, not just for the Democrats, but for the entire country. And he's a coward.
So you know he's comfortable doing nothing. Let's take a look.
Now they're calling to support and defend China. How is it that this group, Democrat Socialists,
are getting this kind of support? This new CNN poll, I'll put it up on the screen,
shows that a third of Democrats now identify as Democrat Socialists. What's happening here, Hugh?
They're going full Thelma and Louise over the left cliff. Sandra, good morning to you. When
they go for communist China, you realize there's socialism in their mouth, there's Marxism in their
mind, but there's communism in their heart. And when you throw in with the Maoists in China,
you've just gone completely over the cliff. And it's not just Al Saeed and his anti-Semitic
extremism in Michigan. It's Tallarico in Texas, it's Troy Jackson in Maine,
it's Peggy Flanagan's likely to get nominated the week after this Tuesday in Minnesota.
Those four are hard, hard left radicals. They're anti-American, anti-Israel, often anti-Semitic.
And they've got a dozen members of the House already. And we've got at least six hardcore
DSA-ers, three out of Manhattan. We got Hamawi in New Jersey and Rob in Philadelphia and Kuros
in Colorado. These are all House candidates who've been nominated by the Democrats.
So what's happening is the primaries, the Democratic primaries are being taken over
by these radical Democratic activists. And if you go to the DSA website, and I think I've said this
on the program before, the DSA agenda is against private property. These are not the old fashioned
tax and spend liberals like Walter Mondale and Mike Dukakis. These are actually full-blown
socialists slash Marxists slash communists. And the party, Chuck Schumer's paralyzed. They're
afraid to say you can't be in our party. The only one who's got the courage is John Fetterman.
He's probably going to get tossed out. I mean, heck, they're against corporate
business. They're against profits. I mean, I don't see an end in sight for some of the radical
calls and the radical agenda that they continue to post. And while a third of Democrats who identify
as Democrat socialists, the number of percentage is even bigger when it comes to Democrats who say
that they would support, this is a Washington Post poll, say that they would support a Democrat
socialist candidate. Now our news tonight followed a common theme and it followed this theme because
I believe it's important to the future of our country. I believe that we as Republicans,
as conservatives need to also be concerned with this. I think that for the future for our
children, for our children's children, this is something that has to be confronted right now.
You don't let despots and tyrants run roughshod and then take care of them later. You nip it in
the bud. And the only way to do that is to vote in mass, to vote like you've never voted before,
to get your friends to vote and to spread the message online, far and wide. Sharing videos
like this, yes, helps. But it's not just sharing my video. It's not just a selfish thing. Posts that
you make explaining to your friends and family what the dangers are. Posts that you make on
social media. Conversations you have around the dinner table, the Thanksgiving table,
the Christmas table. These holidays are coming up. These are the important things. It's grassroots.
It's on the ground. Don't feel helpless because you do have power.
We have to save our country from this. It is incumbent upon us to do so as good Americans.
Guys, I want to thank you for joining us today. I want to thank each and every one of you that
watches this video all the way through. I want to thank each and every one of you that likes
or comments or shares or subscribes or does all of that. I especially want to thank the people
who hit those three little dots and hit the thanks button to give us super thanks because,
again, your contribution to this program is tremendous and I can't thank you enough for it,
really from the bottom of my heart, because you're in this fight with us to save this country. And
for that, I love you. We will see you again on the next episode. I'm Carmine Sabia for
Explain America. We love you guys. God bless you. Take care, everybody.
