Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis episode of *The Apprentice* features team reshuffles, a scandal involving cheating, and a creative retail challenge. After David and Anand are fired for poor performance and rule-breaking respectively, the remaining contestants compete to design a Perfumania display for Kim Kardashian. Clint's sophisticated design triumphs over Poppy's kitschy approach, leading to Poppy's eventual dismissal.
It's week nine on The Apprentice, and the competition has been intense.
The task is to manage and operate three pedicabs.
I got two minutes left!
And last week, the pressure really showed.
You weren't even there!
Are you to call me out?
Shut the f*** up!
In a surprise move, Mr. Trump switched up the teams.
Stephanie, David, Anand, Poppy, you're a team.
Lisa, Stuart, Brandi, Clint, you're a team.
The new teams were tasked with creating a promotional advertisement
for the Donald J. Trump's signature collection.
Do a great ad and impress me, please.
On Octane, project manager Brandi showed her feminine side.
Looking over at your lover.
On Fortitude, project manager David had trouble keeping his team in line.
Hey, Poppy, go back over there, please.
Anand can do that himself.
Okay.
I honestly do not understand why Poppy is still in this competition.
The next day, Brandi fumbled her delivery.
Smartly dressed in the Trump's signature collection of heroin accessories.
While David spoke off the cuff.
I decided to go with a let the clothing speak for itself theme.
But when the results were announced...
Terry much preferred Brandi's team.
Fortitude was left to face Mr. Trump.
David, I thought your ad was very disappointing.
After Anand was spared...
Good luck, guys.
Thank you.
Poppy came under fire.
Poppy, you were very proud of the last page with the small pictures in the tie.
And yet that's what Terry liked the least.
But with his second loss as project manager, David accepted full responsibility.
Are you the boss?
I am the boss.
David, you're fired.
Who's coming back?
It's gotta be Poppy and Stephanie.
But Stephanie lied to him last week.
I can't imagine him keeping her.
How'd you two get along after your little...
I got along very well with Stephanie and Poppy on this test.
But wouldn't you rather get rid of Stephanie?
I'd rather get rid of all of you, to be honest.
There's a reason why I'm here, and the three of them are in there, so...
Going forward without David will be going forward without a distraction.
I'm glad to see him gone.
Anand, myself, and Stephanie will be very strong together.
So it's three against four now.
So girls, you gotta step it up.
Who's gonna step up and take the creative lead on your team?
Because there's definitely a creative void on your team.
No, we're...
Wait a second, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I'm just asking, who's gonna be the creative leader?
You're definitely not the creative one on Octane.
Clint's way out of line.
He's just finding a way to push my buttons.
He knows that I was the creative one on Octane, and he's just a follower.
So I look forward to proving Clint wrong and rubbing it in his face once again.
Creativity, I mean, I see what you guys did.
You guys did a very standard four-page layout.
We did a...
Even when you were the project manager,
Stuart and I really are the ones that hit it home.
Without us, you wouldn't have been able to win.
Anand's cocky as ever.
I'm thinking, what in the world are you cocky about?
You just lost, and you come back in here like, you know, you're on top of the world.
It's all good, it's all good.
I'll see you at the finish line.
Anand keeps telling me, I'll see you in the finals,
but I don't expect to see Anand in the finals.
I've just been given some very disturbing news.
That Anand has been text messaging people,
telling them to bring in money, et cetera, et cetera.
Anand, is that true?
That is not true, sir.
I have not been texting anybody regarding money, absolutely not.
Well, you know if you did, it's a clear violation of the rules.
Absolutely, absolutely.
You're saying you didn't do it?
I have not done that.
You want me to read you a text message?
Would you like me to read a text message?
I mean, I don't know what...
Do you want me to read a text message?
Go right ahead, Mr. Trump.
It says, come to Trump Tower from 10 to 1.30 p.m.
Bring at least $50 cash.
Pretend like you don't know me.
Need you to buy a pedicab ride from me or one of my teammates.
I'm project manager, so my ass is on the line.
I'm getting close to the top.
I won't have my phone with me,
so just come by and pretend like we don't know each other.
Pretty bad, right?
That is bad, Mr. Trump.
What happened?
Nobody came.
I don't care if they came or not.
I can assure you that much.
It's because they don't respect you they didn't come.
Perhaps, perhaps.
I'm sure it's not because they knew you were breaking the rules,
and that's a real break of the rules.
What do you think of that, Clint?
I see you're just going nuts over there.
What do you think?
Are you shocked at honor?
I'm flabbergasted.
I've been around honor.
I've come to respect honor.
In fact, I've seen honor as someone who potentially could compete with me for this job.
Did anybody else know about this?
Brandi?
I had no idea, sir.
Now, you're an attorney.
What would you say?
Unacceptable.
And then why did you deny it?
Why didn't you just say yes?
I want to stay here, Mr. Trump.
I want to stay here and I want to fight.
You know, but why did you deny it?
You lied to me.
I did.
I did, Mr. Trump.
And I want to be at the top.
I want to win.
I did send that text message and nobody came.
I mean, not that that means anything.
It was wrong.
It was inappropriate.
I just, you know, being a project manager, you want to win.
You know, I just...
Honor, I'm all about, all about taking every advantage you can.
That's all I was trying to do.
But you crossed the line.
Wouldn't you say you crossed the line?
Now that I'm sitting here in the boardroom facing you,
I crossed the line.
This is why the country's gotten into such trouble.
This is the kind of thinking that we've been witnessing
on Wall Street for the last five years.
Anand, you're fired.
Go.
Thank you, Mr. Trump, for the opportunity though, so far.
Good luck, guys.
First and foremost, I want to apologize to Mr. Trump.
I wasn't trying to be dishonest or cheat or do anything like that.
It was just a bad judgment call.
If there's anything I could say to Mr. Trump face to face,
it would be I'm sorry, but I would also explain to him
that I was just doing it because I really wanted to be there
standing next to him at the end of this.
If I could go back in time and take it all back, I would.
You know, I'm just shocked at myself.
I'm shocked at what happened.
You know, it's a tough pill to swallow.
Ladies, can I just apologize on behalf of the whole men's team?
You know, he was the project manager.
I apologize that he did that.
And you didn't see anything?
No, you know, we were all peddling and all around.
He's so stupid.
Mr. Trump calls us into the boardroom and asks him the question
and he acts like...
He lies, he lies to Mr. Trump.
You know, after the Moss incident,
why would he risk everything to lie to Mr. Trump?
Anand lied right there to Mr. Trump's face.
And that's the kiss of death.
He was a key player in this whole thing.
And now with him just being fired right then and there,
it's a very different game.
Let's leave Anand in the ditch and go move forward.
We got something to do today, all of us.
Good luck to each of you.
So what's up for this week?
I don't know, what tasks?
Who knows?
I know it's two against four.
That's what I do know.
At this point, who knows what to expect?
But Poppy and I work well together.
We compliment each other.
This is going to be good.
We're going to be fine.
I'm just hoping to God that Lisa doesn't get put on our team.
So, Clint, that was pretty sad with Anand.
It was very sad, yes, sir.
What do you think?
I think we got rid of some dead weight.
All right, Lisa, go over to the other team.
I'm sure my face didn't show it,
but I did not want to be back on that team with Stephanie at all.
There's just something about her that just ruins team dynamic.
Maybe my role is to kick her off of this competition.
The fragrance industry in the United States
is $5 billion worth of money, money, money.
A part of that industry and a major part is celebrity fragrance.
With me is Steven Nussdorf.
He's the head of Perfumania,
which is the largest specialty retailer of celebrity fragrance.
What is their task, Steven?
Donald, we at Perfumania are very excited
about our new amazing fragrance by Kim Kardashian.
So you will be designing and constructing an in-store display.
You will then put the display to work in two of our Perfumania locations.
Don and Ivanka will be my advisors.
Randy, who's your project manager?
I'm taking it.
You want to do it, Clint?
I'll do it, yes, sir.
All right, sounds good to me.
Clint for perfume.
This guy's a country boy.
Poppy, who is your project manager?
I am, sir.
Oh, Poppy, you're stepping up.
Okay, they're very smart people.
Let's see how they can do.
Go ahead.
Thank you.
We need it to be like really glam and really like sex in the city.
And hot.
Hot, yes.
Definitely, let's play up the sex card.
Perfume is a woman's thing.
So I think that we have an advantage in that we have three women's brains
to really, really create something great for this.
Look at how hot this is.
She's so beautiful.
Yeah.
Obviously, we have to have a picture of Kim Kardashian on it.
And make it full life size.
And then people can have their picture.
Take their picture with Kim.
Seriously.
That's great.
Maybe we do that.
Because that's interactive.
Poppy and I work well together, but it's just difficult
because she doesn't have any business experience.
And Lisa has no brain.
So it's like me with dumb and dumber.
Seeing as this is a swing, you guys, I mean, it's the perfect thing to hang from the ceiling.
And then you just see her legs dangling.
I mean, how sexy would that be?
Our display is basically a life-size Kim Kardashian dangling from her ring.
We are all on the same page.
We came up with our concept very quickly.
Our plan now is to go get the construction rolling.
I love this idea, guys.
I do too.
I'm really, really for it.
Yep.
Well, this answers everything.
Yep, it does.
We headed straight to our Perfumania location to figure out exactly
what our location was going to offer up as far as product placement.
There's our ring.
The display can literally be like a vanity.
With boxes cut out.
And I prefer that if we're going to do this,
I think it's better that we do it like an acrylic or something that we can light up like that.
No question.
What I thought of was to create almost like an acrylic,
really cool old vanity that you would find in a Hollywood starlet's dressing room.
I just feel like this is turning into like,
we have this and then we have a hanging thing and then it's just...
Which component would you focus on?
I don't know.
I'm about the furthest thing you can get from feminine.
And so I need some feminine help here.
Lo and behold, Brandi has gone AWOL on me in the idea department.
You need to tell me again, and I need an answer from you,
not just a bite bit lip and a wonder.
I'm not biting my lip.
I like this.
Do I think it's our solution?
I don't know.
I'm just worried because those girls over there,
and I'm sorry you guys, but they're way more feminine than I am.
It just is what it is.
The minute Brandi told me she was not as feminine,
my jaw wanted to hit the floor.
This is the same Brandi from the week before,
who was almost naked laying on a bed in a man's shirt,
giving an ooh-la-la shot for Mr. Trump's clothes.
Give me a break.
You can't have the focal point, which in my mind is a moving TV
at the top of the display.
I didn't like it up there.
That's why I was putting it down there.
The guys are being very careful to not make any decisions
without me to say that I 100% sign off on something.
So I'm sure if we aren't successful,
Stuart and Clint are going to point the blame at me.
I need to know if a lady likes walking up to this or not.
I don't know.
I'm obsessed with things that sparkle.
I'll put sequins.
Sequins around this thing with the lights.
Yeah, sequins would catch the light.
The more sequins, the better.
I love pink and sparkles.
I like to bedazzle a lot of things.
That's actually something I can use as an asset during this project.
We're incorporating all our favorite things.
Pink, purple, sequins.
The guys are definitely not thinking of this stuff.
I don't want this thing to look bedazzled.
I really want our display to look really expensive
and just really represent the perfume.
Poppy's motto, gaudy, bling.
Oh, you love me.
How are you doing?
Good.
I'm Poppy.
Poppy, nice to meet you.
We are doing a display for Kim Kardashian's new perfume.
Okay.
We arrived at Creech Design and met with our construction team
and immediately got to work.
So we have a stand and a table that we're going to build.
Yeah.
We're going to have to get a little hands-on today.
You got it, boss.
I can stay here.
Okay, Steph and I will do the chores.
You get your hands dirty.
All right.
Let's run.
All right, we're off.
Thanks, guys.
Good luck.
Have fun.
Lisa's going to stay behind and help with the construction.
Stephanie and I are going to go meet with the graphic designer and go shopping.
I have to tell you, I was dreading having to go shopping with Lisa.
I saw that coming and I was like, oh God, grant me the serenity.
From the beginning, Lisa has been the weakest player.
When we're on task, she barely has anything to contribute.
But in the boardroom, she turns the light switch on and all of a sudden she talks.
That's just pathetic, really.
Okay, so whether we win or lose, I still want the credit for my ideas.
Okay, so who thought of what on this task?
Just so that I keep track.
Okay, so I did the hanging thing and you did this.
Lisa has been known for taking credit for ideas that weren't necessarily hers.
I honestly believe that she just has selective memory.
And she's going to try to take credit for everything,
so hurry up and say it first in the boardroom before she says it.
Good thing I'm PM.
Yeah.
Coming up.
Do you feel like there's a lot of pressure being the girl?
Absolutely.
I'm sort of the odd man out on this one.
What is this for?
These are the hanging things for the shelves.
You guys actually thought that this is representative of Kim Kardashian
and the glam we're trying to showcase.
What the hell?
Great, I'm Derek.
Derek, good.
I'm Clint, appreciate you.
Stuart.
How are you doing?
I sent Brandi to Trump Tower to work with the graphics designer.
Stuart and I needed to be over hands-on getting this thing built.
Time was running short.
We were already behind the eight ball.
We needed a two-man building on this display.
We want to kind of make a big square donut out of Lucite.
Something that's translucent.
In the back, we'd like mirror.
You know, all this area in here, mirror.
I'm pretty good at explaining construction
because I've built everything from apartment complexes down to duplexes.
So I know the verbiage when it comes to building anything.
The whole reason for going with the Lucite is so that it's lit up from below.
We were using the insets inside the piece of furniture
to represent light bulbs in a vanity.
And inside each of those inserts was going to be a bottle of her perfume.
So we definitely needed the acrylic to make sure that the concept came alive.
Being in a wood shop, I feel a little manly.
Manly as you can feel building a perfume rack.
Right.
We want to put like a long skinny banner here.
Okay.
So when you walk through the door, you know,
if the display is here, you just see the banner.
I went to meet with our graphic designer in order to create a banner
that would run along the side,
a window display that would face outwards to the customers walking by,
the scent strips to spray the perfume on,
and an informational postcard slash brochure that people could take.
Hi.
How's it going?
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad to be able to see you.
I know, this is the first time I've gotten to follow you.
Do you feel like there's a lot of pressure being sort of the girl?
I absolutely.
And I think that if it doesn't go well,
that I will for sure be kind of the one that is to blame.
Because usually we're supposed to have the instinct.
Yeah, exactly.
And the two men are very buddy-buddy.
So I'm sort of the odd man out on this one.
Always when you're a minority, you can be in a vulnerable position.
I think that's particularly true in Brandi's scenario
because Stuart and Clint have really bonded.
So Brandi is the new kid on the block and we'll see how she acclimates.
We want two posters, okay?
One is going to be 20 by 24.
And then you're going to write in there, samples in store now.
Oh, oh, hi.
How are you?
What's going on?
What's happening?
How you doing?
I'm back at the one room with Poppy with the graphic designer.
And Don Jr. came by and asked how it was going.
Yeah.
He's hot.
Don't put that on, edit.
So what do you think?
I love it.
We have a great concept.
So where's Lisa?
Lisa is back with the construction people.
Why did you decide to send Lisa that way instead of one of you two?
She just volunteered.
Works out well, pushing her out of the hurdle.
I know there's no love loss here in the past.
I'm not saying anything anymore.
Oh really?
Throughout the competition, there's been certainly no love loss between Stephanie and Lisa.
So I think they're really laying her out there to dry if they don't win.
I'm biting my tongue.
Left with the men.
They had already started working on the display.
Look at that.
Is that not great?
Look at that.
I love it.
When those lights went inside that display, we had the pink gels over them.
Katie, bar the door.
It took my breath away how beautiful it was.
What do you think?
Yeah.
Not exactly what I had envisioned.
But it's hard to compete with three women on a perfume task.
It just is.
So if we win this, I think that it'll be a big victory for us.
That is insanely beautiful.
We're back.
God, I was freaking out.
I knew you were.
Oh, it looks good.
I really love it.
I love it.
Yay.
We got back to the warehouse.
And as soon as I saw what we had, I was so happy.
The wood pieces just looked amazing.
They weren't chunky.
They were feminine.
It was better than I thought it would be.
I love it.
Oh, my gosh.
Amazing.
I was like, yay, Lisa, you did something right.
Oh, my gosh.
I don't have to bitch you out in the boardroom.
OK, so I'm going to start doing the ribbon.
Yeah, you start doing whatever you're doing.
I was working with sequins and ribbon and hot glue.
I really wanted something that was classy, neat, and really just branded the name
Kim Kardashian in your face.
What is this for?
These are the hanging things for the shelves.
So we'll hang it all around the shelf.
So the girls show up, and I was excited, and I wanted to see what they got.
And then I saw these jewel things they got.
I think this will look tacky, and I want it to look like a craft project.
We could use the boa.
You want the boas?
Even the boas look like they came from malnourished ostriches.
I mean, seriously, it's ridiculous.
You guys went into a store and bought these and actually thought that this
is representative of Kim Kardashian and the glam we're trying to showcase.
Coming up.
Hi, team.
Out steps Kim Kardashian.
She's hot.
She's super hot.
I think I just lit up.
And later.
It's time for you to start talking, because you're going to be fired very soon.
OK, this is good.
I think it looks great.
I do too.
We are about to present to Stephen, the executive of Perfumania.
So I was trying to make everything look pretty.
It looks good.
It really does.
I like your presentation.
It's all about the detail, right?
Yes.
Love it.
The details of the display include the boas, the rhinestones, the shelving, the sequins, the ribbon.
Attention to detail has been something that I've prided myself on since I've been a young girl.
When the executive walked in the door, he had a beautiful woman at his side.
The one and only Kim Kardashian came walking in.
And it was a great surprise.
But I was a slight bit nervous, because I had to present her product to her.
So we really wanted to capture your tagline, which is the voluptuous new fragrance.
You embody femininity and just gorgeous, exuding beauty.
Oh, thank you.
We captured that through the rhinestones, the lights, and the sequins.
And I believe that the essence of what we have going here just really captures
the beautiful woman that we have standing in front of us.
I think it's good to stroke someone's ego like that.
But you don't need to push it.
So I felt like I needed to say something that was a little bit business oriented.
This is one of the posters that they could stand behind and get their picture taken with you
as they're in the store.
So everyone gets a little taste of glamour at Perfumanium.
I like that.
I love it.
It looks great.
Thank you.
We put a lot of hard work into it.
Good job, guys.
Thank you very much.
It was wonderful to meet you.
Kim Kardashian and I have similar styles.
We love the boas and the rhinestones.
Luckily, I think they ate it up, and we'll see what they say.
I think I had a tear in my eye when I saw that display.
The bottles tucked back in, all that pink lighting.
Very nice.
We have the top perfume display in all of Times Square, and I love it.
Mr. Nussdorf came by, and the next thing we know, out steps Kim Kardashian.
It was definitely a surprise.
She's hot.
She's super hot.
I definitely was blushing.
There's no question.
I mean, the second I saw her, I think I just lit up.
What we wanted to do, you are obviously a Hollywood icon, and forgive me for saying
this to you in person, but you're voluptuous.
All these people who are walking by, we want to catch the consumer who doesn't even know
they want or need perfume.
We lure them in, kind of like a bug light.
They see you there, and they walk in the door here.
We all three had our own special spin on what we were presenting.
I wanted Kim to see everything about the marketing aspect.
As you walk in, you come around, you actually get a living video of you here.
And once they get up to the station, they realize, wow, the fragrance is here.
I can smell the fragrance.
We have samples.
And those insets actually kind of represent the light bulbs in the vanity, in effect.
Thank y'all.
Good to see you again.
Hopefully, we end with a win.
I think that would be amazing.
But if our display doesn't work, I'm going to be the one that's under the bus, for sure.
Hi, Kim.
How are you?
You look great.
Thank you.
Steven, come here.
I love your fragrance.
I think it's really special.
I'm going to get some.
Thank you.
And Chloe says hi.
And Chloe is terrific.
She really is.
She did great on the show, and she's a terrific person, just like you are.
So how did Clint's team do?
I thought Clint's team was very organized.
Their display was very well thought out and really made the bottle stand out with
having an acrylic background.
It was clean.
It was very inviting.
Steven, what did you think of Poppy's team?
What I liked about their display was the fact that you were able to stand up and
take a picture next to Kim Kardashian.
Which was very good.
Yes, absolutely.
It was great.
It's a very fun thing that you could possibly use in the store.
So you found both teams to be very creative.
You like one team better than the other.
Absolutely.
Steven, who's the winner?
Clint.
Yes, sir.
I can't imagine you working with Kim Kardashian or fragrance.
How did it go?
I think it went really well.
It went really well.
Who was your star?
I believe one thing made this project a winner for us.
And I believe it was the backlit acrylic.
And Stuart came up with that idea.
I took it and ran with it.
And I believe Stuart's idea probably pushed us over the top.
Good.
Did Brandi do a good job?
I was just a little disappointed.
We all got started slow out of the gate.
You know, Stuart and I have no feminine inclinations.
I think that's true.
When it comes to fragrances.
So we were leaning on Brandi early.
And we just all scratched our head and couldn't figure out a concept early on.
What exactly did you expect of Brandi that she didn't deliver on?
You know, I asked Brandi several times.
Help me, Brandi, because I don't have a clue what women like on this.
And that's the only thing I was referring to Brandi.
I think I 100% delivered on this task.
I think I delivered very strongly.
Look, I'm coming into a team where these two men get along really well.
And I knew that I had to deliver on this task.
Because ultimately, I'm the only female on this team.
Brandi expressed this concern to me when I visited with her.
There was a camaraderie that had been built up over many weeks
between you and Stuart Clint.
And she was concerned that because this was a female-oriented task,
that the responsibility for victory would be on her shoulders.
Stuart, was Brandi good or not good?
Brandi was good.
Was Clint good?
Clint was great.
Who was better?
I guess great is better than good?
No, I mean, they were both responsible for very different components of this task.
All right.
Poppy.
Yes, sir.
How'd your team do?
Wonderfully.
We collaborated so well.
You like the product?
You like the end result?
Yes, I do.
We really touched on the essence of who Kim Kardashian is.
And, you know, the tagline of it just being voluptuous.
A voluptuous new fragrance.
She is definitely voluptuous.
She's so nice.
Exquisitely beautiful.
That's for sure.
How did Lisa do?
She did a very good job, sir.
How did Stephanie do?
Also a very fine job.
Who did a better job?
I'm really proud of both of them.
Okay.
Don and Ivanka, please show the teams each other's photos and the takeaways, please.
Lisa, what do you think?
I think they did a great job.
Oh, Lisa, you like it.
A great job.
Wow.
Brandi, what do you think?
I prefer ours, sir.
Why?
This looks like arts and crafts to me.
What do you think, Clint?
This looks cheap to me.
Don, let me ask you.
What did Kim and Stephen think of Poppy's team?
Well, they thought the display looked cheap and kitschy.
The sequins and white boas looked juvenile and conflicted with the brand and the fragrance
and the sophistication level that they were trying to attain because it was also cheap and kitschy.
Ivanka, tell me the comments on Clint's team, please.
Well, they loved the clean lines of the display
and they thought that it just looked elegant and fit the space very well.
Kim particularly loved the pink and lavender background.
She thought that really accentuated the bottles and the fragrance and made it look very becoming.
And lastly, the words they used repeatedly in describing their feelings about what you
put together were sophisticated and understated, which they thought very much resonated with the
perfume itself.
And the fact is they loved your work.
Stephen loved it.
Kim loved it.
It wasn't even close.
Your team wins, Clint.
Thank you, sir.
All right.
Congratulations.
Fantastic.
And as your reward, Barry Sternlich, the head of Starwood Hotels.
He founded it.
He runs it.
He's an amazing guy.
You're going to be meeting with Barry and you can learn a lot from Barry because there's
nobody like him.
He's a piece of work and he's really smart.
OK?
That's great.
Thank you, sir.
OK, go.
Thank you.
As far as you're concerned, Poppy, your team, somebody will be found.
So, Poppy, what happened?
Well, this idea never even started to come up with our brainstorming.
We were...
But yours was tacky.
It was really, like, not very good.
I looked at both displays and I really felt that theirs was substantially better.
The fact is they didn't find one thing wrong.
Is that right?
They liked it a lot.
They're going to be using it.
And Kim's biggest problem with yours was the fact that she thought it just really didn't
embody her personality.
That it was cheesy and it was overwhelming and you had boas and you had glitter and you
had sparkle and she just really didn't like that depiction.
Too much.
So, let me ask you this.
Who came up with the sequence of the boas?
That was me, sir.
That's a bad idea.
So, Poppy, why would I fire Stephanie over you?
Stephanie?
Stephanie.
She backed the idea the entire way.
She was my...
But it was your idea.
It was not all my idea.
No, sir.
It was actually a collaboration of all of our ideas.
Poppy, do you think that Lisa perhaps was to blame?
Seeing as she was in the production side of things and actually had to create the final
image of the graphic arts that you guys created?
I didn't actually create the final image.
You were there working with the people on the construction of...
And let me tell you what I can specifically give as an example that nobody can deny here.
I specifically did not like the fact that we were going to be putting
these little gems that were hanging down.
I can't even explain to you what it was.
Is that what they didn't like?
Well, we didn't even put it on there because I was not going to let it go on there.
And I literally was like, that's not going to happen.
The fact is, Lisa, when you saw Clint's presentation, you liked it much better.
I can honestly tell you right now, it was...
It's good.
It's really...
So, you don't disagree with the judges?
I was with the fabricators.
So, Lisa, you actually agree with Stephen and Kim?
I think our idea was fantastic.
It just looked too high school-y sorority instead of looking more,
you know, sophisticated and, you know, glamorous.
Lisa, given some of the history...
Yes.
...between you guys, the fact that you haven't always gotten along,
did you feel a little bit worried when they isolated you kind of to the production side,
where they stayed together and just kind of put you out there on your own
to handle a pretty major component of the task?
Yeah, and actually when that happened, it was a concern in my mind.
I must say, I needed to separate the two of them.
I'm sorry. I know that you two don't get along,
and that was part of my tactic as project manager.
Why don't they get along?
I have problem with anything.
I do my work and I don't.
I don't have issues with anyone.
I have no problem.
Day after day, it comes out, like, I've done something wrong,
and she's always the one bringing it up.
Even when the whole team says that I've done a great job,
she's always the one saying I've done something wrong.
I feel she doesn't contribute enough with everyone else.
It's not an equal contribution.
Okay.
It's not.
Give us some fresh ideas you had for our concept.
Okay.
Don Jr., let me ask you this.
The judges did like one thing very much about the team.
What was it?
Well, the only thing that they liked was that you could take a photo
with the Kim figure that they created.
So that was something.
And whose idea was that?
That was mine, sir.
Was that Stephanie's idea?
Well, I'm not sure if it was.
Yes, it was clearly my idea.
No, that was clearly my idea, and I presented it.
Well, let me tell you what happened with that idea.
She's trying to say it now.
Okay, Poppy, I think it was your idea, wasn't it?
Because remember, people were going to say...
It was Poppy's idea.
Now I remember.
It was Poppy's idea.
Because before that came up, Mr. Trump, before that came up,
I just remembered, right?
Okay, fine.
Say it was your idea.
Okay.
And then you go up like you do at the movies.
I said it three times.
Fine.
Again.
You go to the movies and you take a picture with the...
It was Poppy's idea.
Poppy, if it was your idea and you're a project manager,
and this was a resounding defeat,
why aren't you speaking up and taking ownership of it?
I don't like to talk over people.
It's time for you to start talking,
because you're going to be fired very soon.
Yes, sir.
You're the project manager, you did a lousy job,
the end result was terrible,
and you sit back and you let these two fight.
It's time for you to start talking,
because you're going to be fired very soon.
Yes, sir.
You're the project manager, you did a lousy job,
the end result was terrible,
and you sit back and you let these two fight.
I did a great job of leading because they're fighting it didn't part of my eating it mentality
I had to separate them and that's part of why I left Lisa behind
I also trusted her with the design because we had sketched it out entirely they needed to be separated
That's just plain and but we weren't even fighting the design and I don't think they will fight
I think they're fighting now, but I don't think they will fight
So why do you have to separate two people that weren't fighting Stephanie in the van you were attacking Lisa
I was not attacking. No, we're talking about past tasks. I sat there. Why do you attack Lisa?
I'm not attacking anyone. No, excuse me. I've been doing this for a lot of weeks with you. Why do you attack Lisa?
Well, it's not personal
I feel as though she doesn't put in as much input as everyone else does like on this test for example
It was Poppy and I constantly coming up with serious. Yes
Boas and the sequence everything was being fully supported and you guys both relegated her to production
That's how ideas come up Lisa stays quietly in the background
Oh, I'm in the background now. She talks you could ask Poppy and ask anyone we've worked with thus far
Poppy I got a question for you about a minute ago
We started saying the one good thing was the idea of the photograph with the thing
You said that was your idea. You nodded. You're just sitting back like because that was my idea. That's not relevant, doesn't it?
No, it you know what and Lisa is supporting me in that, you know, I definitely remember saying
We can do like the Polaroid and so if that's the one thing that I thought I should go back
But Poppy you thought you had a wonderful team two minutes ago and now all of a sudden you're sort of not sure
What I think that I had a great team
They really worked hard for me and supported me and we all worked. What would you fire between Lisa and Stephanie if you were me?
On this test sir, I
Would have to say Stephanie
Why?
Because she supported me full-heartedly. She was there going shopping with me at the house. So basically she supported you and she therefore
Verified your wrong decisions. No, she actually came up with some of the wrong decisions also, sir
I know but you had to approve it because your project. Yes, I support her. We all supported
You're saying that
Stephanie supported your ideas and you're faulting her for that. What would you have preferred for her to do as a team?
Right, it wasn't just the support the ideas. I'm not I don't even understand your logic per se
You still have the final say
Agreed, so own those mistakes and then say why you're a strong player going forward
You don't want to win because somebody else is weaker. You want to win because you're strong
Agreed and I am stronger because I came up with the one idea that was like
Unfortunately, our entire project was not liked
Unfortunate that's very unfortunate and all of us are to blame for that all of us truly truly are
however, the strongest player in this task was myself and I honestly believe that I am a straight shooter, sir, but
Weren't the tacky sequins and boas wasn't that really your idea about me? I mentioned. Yes. I said, what was it your idea?
Yes, was it your idea?
Yes
Papi
Go, thank you. She's very nice, but she was the project manager. They lost
