Hey everyone! So, we had a little change of plans on our trip. Instead of following our
original itinerary, Langing and I decided to go on a spontaneous adventure to Krusenstein Castle.
We hopped on a train from Vienna, then walked the rest of the way to the castle since there is no
taxi in the area. As we approached, we could already see the castle towering in the distance.
It's medieval towers and stone walls rising high above the surrounding landscape.
The walk up to the castle was a bit of a climb, but totally worth it for the stunning views.
When we finally got closer, we couldn't wait to get inside. The castle's stone walls and
gothic style really give it that medieval vibe. And just look at this huge entrance gate.
It's like stepping back in time.
But before we could even enter, there was a bit of a problem.
We needed cash for entrance fee since they only accepted payments that way.
So, we went on a little adventure to find an ATM nearby.
It was a good feeling getting lost in a completely unfamiliar place.
Finally, it's time to come inside. The interior shows the life during medieval ages.
Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take any photos or videos inside. So instead,
I'll show you some images from internet, so you can get a better idea.
We can see big and heavy armors for battle. We also saw their dining and bedrooms. It was quite
modest compared to modern palaces, but I'm sure this was already grand during its heyday.
We did, however, take a few shots outside the castle. Just check out how magnificent.
The structure is with its towering walls and impressive gates.
Overall, it was a fun unexpected detour in our day, and definitely a highlight of the trip.
If you ever find yourself in this part of the world,
Krusenstein Castle is absolutely worth a visit.
