All right, so I get asked a lot about why. Why farming? Why go through all the effort of
working hard and, you know, sometimes for not much money and, you know, my initial reaction
would probably say that, you know, when I was a kid growing up on a farm, it was like a big
sandbox. I get to drive big tractors and drive four-wheelers and motorcycles around and, I mean,
that was my initial love of farming. It's just being able to drive equipment and kind of be
outside. Now I would say that's similar because I still love doing that, but it's actually fun
to be able to watch nature, kind of watch things grow, watch the animals grow. You know, trying to
obviously be a steward of the land and take care of animals has kind of almost just gotten deep
into me to where I just like doing it. I love seeing the stuff run its course, you know,
start to finish on an animal from birth all the way through and that goes for beef and pork.
And I think my why has just gotten deeper and deeper and just wanting to be part of being
outside and being part of nature and doing right by the soil and right by the animals and, you know,
we just love what we do and I think that why just keeps growing deeper and deeper.
