Interview with Irmo QB Britton Davis
Aug 6, 2026
Thomas Grant here from high school at SI.
Here with quarterback Britton Davis.
So, Ormo, first off, now getting into the starting position,
just how have you been getting yourself adjusted to being really the top guy?
You know, it's really just, just sitting behind Dre.
And, you know, watching AJ last year really just helped me understand the game
more so that, knowing that I was gonna be the guy this year,
it's really helping me learn the plays, understand them more so
How much did that performance in the second half against Dutchville boost your confidence?
And then also, but this year now, you don't have the Miller brothers,
who are some of the guys you're gonna have to target that's gonna help you?
Of course, I can't forget my running back, giving him the ball,
and just letting my guys work.
How fun is it getting in an offensive coach brand?
Because it seems like regardless of quarterback,
you're able to still be productive.
No, it's actually, it's actually, it's fun.
He can be a league officer, you know what I mean?
A real mentor to your life.
He's one of the best coaches out of every coach's league.
Yeah, I'm thankful for him.
Well, now you're going to a new region, new classification.
What is it gonna take to get back to where you were before,
the last two years, but this time, go over the hump?
I mean, we've had everything for the last two to three years,
but what we've been missing is leadership and coming as a team to finish the game.
