Unboxing a brand new Electric mountain bike and pushing it as hard as possible on downhill MTB trails, dirt jumps, urban freeride lines and impossible gaps in the ultimate test to see how strong e-bikes of 2026 are.
The Canyon :On bikes are incredibly powerful and strong like no other and here the proof you need to understand e-bikes aren't just for rolling to the shop on. I take these 900wh battery bikes over huge jumps, down big stair sets and full speed along MTB trails to show the pure amount of options these bikes have. We start out at the famous Storror Vlogs wall run in Brighton before moving over to Windhill Bike park for some freestyle action. Blake Samson turned up out of the blue too and shredded some laps! From here it was time to move to the Forest of Dean for some loam fun in frozen conditions and some unboxing. On our way home we hit Flyup 417 bike park for a quick lap before finishing at my local, Twisted Oaks!!
Welcome to my channel, I'm a professional Freeride Mountain biker and former FMB world champion(2013).

The video showcases the durability and performance of modern e-bikes through a series of high-intensity stunts, jumps, and trail rides. The creator tests the limits of the Canyon Spectral:ON and Torque:ON models across various terrains, including urban gaps, bike parks, and steep forest trails, while demonstrating that e-bikes are capable of professional-level freestyle tricks.
I've got a brand new Canyon and I'm going to be unboxing it later on in the video but before we
do that I'm going to be showing you how unbreakable and capable modern e-bikes are on stuff like this.
First spot of the day is this crazy wall ride made famous by the Stora parkour crew.
You pedal along the top there, you can hit this and then gap over this whole
death section here. But crazily we woke up this morning and the whole
of Brighton was covered in snow.
Well scary at the end. Here we go, first gap.
Wow that was scary, that was slow but perfect landing. Next up is this insane gap. Harry
Schofield done it in one of his vlogs. You drop in there and then you air onto this bit. You can
tire marks here and then that is like a wall ride into this stuff.
That was really scary, sick one. Oh yeah I was a bit slow but yeah it worked out.
We've come from an urban environment into the woods of Windhill bike park which is filled with
loads of sick jumps to throw some bangers on and after that it's time to unbox the fresh bike.
Let's shred. One of my favourite things to do on an e-bike is a backflip.
So dreamed. Right let's get a flip table. It's really hard to flip tables on an e-bike obviously
because it's heavier and to like get it fully flat but some sort of manoeuvre like that could
feel good. So let's do a, we'll do it in fast motion first and then we'll get a slow motion
so I can check it out. Dropping. Oh it was like more of like a bike lean than a table.
Feels good though. Let's put it in slow motion so I can like reassess it. Oh that felt pretty
good. I quite like the look of that. It just feels so nice pulling all that weight back
and sideways. You stand right on the edge there. I'll do a flip can.
Oh I love that. That's probably slowly becoming one of my favourite tricks. I did,
I don't want to say it in case I have to do it, I wanted to play some threes but
it's been a bit of a Christmas break. Haven't threed the EBE parages. Do it.
Oh that's so nice. Oh threes just feel too good on the e-bike. Like if I had one choice of bike
it would be an EBE because you can just lap endlessly. Look I'm pedalling up the hill
with ease straight into this next section. Quick drop in and we're into the next zone
with these two bigger jumps.
So this is a line we should do with the FPV. I think it will go far enough
that we can do the top few features as well. Give that a go. Pedalling in.
Oh it's so fun this bit. Whoa it's icy. Oh that's sick. What a section.
Now time for the fun part of the video where we get to open this brand new canyon. Got these nice
little bits here that you twist off. Let's get started. What's in here then? You've got a quick
start guide. Won't be reading that. And some cool bits. They come with like some tools in here.
Like you get a shock pump. Oh we got another little box of stuff. Some pedals and you got
like tokens, a pedal spanner. So actually everything you need to get out for a shreddy.
Oh that is sick. That's a spectral look. That colour's amazing. We got a wheel here.
Nice. Let's just lift the whole thing out to look at the beauty even more.
Wow that is a sick colour on there. Oh look it's so good. So every time it's just as exciting.
Believe it or not I've actually got a bike stand in the van. Here we go. Look the Lidl special.
This has lasted so long. Well good 30 quid lasts a lifetime. See perfect.
Do it back up. Whip that in.
There's only one mod I'm going to do. I'm going to put on some fresh pill grips. Look at that
orange matching the hoodie. Good planning. Get off these ones which you know aren't bad but
pill grips are better. Available now in the merch store. Link up here or in the description. Canyon
boss probably like what's wrong with our grips. I mean like I said there's nothing wrong with them
just you might as well buy some of them really. Hole is getting deeper. Contract length shortening
by the second. Look who's behind by the way.
Blake Sampson. What we want to do now is get FPV out,
Louis Chaser. So we'll hit that one over there. What's the name of it?
Payroll. Payroll. You've got to do a burnout first though.
Ready Blake? Here we go. Dropping following Blake now. Louis is on FPV.
This bike feels sick. This is an amazing section.
Oh, I can hear Louis.
Dude, what a surprise man. Such a good surprise that you were here. This is so fun.
So if you don't know, Blake is now going solo on YouTube. He's just got his new channel started up.
You can see the link here. Go and click it. Support him. And we should definitely do some
biking again soon. Yes, and I want to make you something. Oh yeah, he's going to make me
something to bike on that's crazy. We'll talk about that in the future. We're now going to
go to another day. We're going to be shredding more on this beauty because that felt absolutely
insane. Let's get to the next spot. Next session of this absolute trail smasher is here at the
Forest of Dean where it's about to get double black extreme. We're going to head that direction.
We might accidentally veer off the track into some loamy sections and just sort of hit berms,
jumps and have as much fun as possible on the Canyon Spectral On. Let's get it. Dropping.
Here we go.
What a trail with the finale crash there. I was waiting to get taken out by a log
most of that track because we did dip off the edge of the trails quite a lot that run,
but this Spectral On, so sick. What a trail ripper. And with that Shimano motor,
you've just got a built-in uplift. You can lap all day. 900 watt battery as well. It just lasts
for ages. We're now going to continue. The weather's firing. Go and see other fun stuff
we can find to ride. Bonus challenge. I'm going to verse Louis on this e-bike challenge climb trail.
That's super sick. We're going to do it in stages. If you put a foot down, that's one point,
two feet, five points. Whoever can get to the top with the least amount of points wins
and the loser buys the other one dinner. How about that, Louis? All right, cool. I've switched bikes
as well. I'm on the torque on because we're going to take this trail up to some free-riding stuff.
Louis first. Front wheel at the start line. Let's go. I'm just going to go for the
sort of sit and smash technique. I mean, just don't do it.
Cool. That was good. That didn't work. Here we go then, stage one. Let's get it.
I can feel I'm going to get five points.
Yes. Cool. That'll learn you. All right, this is stage two. Let me go and try and do it, basically.
You're lucky then. You had such a bad gear choice. Yes. Good. Zero points then. Cool.
Here we go. It's too easy. Oh, is it? Oh, yes. Into stage three, which is literally
never going to work in the wet. Look, big steep one into another one. Stage three.
I was going to try and do cool techniques, but I'm just going to smash. No, again.
One down, one down. Don't put the other one down. You can go from there or save your second dab and
then just don't put both feet down. I'm going to try and do it from here. Come on, mate.
Here we go. I need speed and aggression for this.
Okay.
I'm just going to straight line it and hope again. That bit was easy enough.
Huge gear choice. Yes. Sick. That counts, doesn't it? What were you in? The highest
gear you could find where it was a mixture of power and speed. Here we go then. I'm going to
go calm and collected through there in the correct gear, seat up, just cruising. I'm going to make
it harder and go up this bit. That was so close to a slam. I've come up from that victory on the
hill climb, Louie. We've come over here. There's a hidden free ride section. It's big hip, super
nice. I've switched the torque on, like I said, because it's got bigger travel. This is more
designed at downhill and free ridey hits. This is my preferred weapon of choice. Wrapping. Sick.
That is slick. We just finished off the session here at Forrester Dean on two incredible bikes,
similar but very different with their different suspensions and sizings. That's not the end.
I want to shred even more. I personally love the torque on the most. Let's get back out on this
beast, see what else we can do on it. We're just leaving Forrester Dean, driving up the 417 here.
I was like, oh my God, there's the fly up 417 bike park. We've turned up. The sun is actually behind
the hill now, so we've only got a few laps. We're just going to get Louie on the FPV again. I've got
the GoPro. Then we'll session this with the big cam and just film this outside jumpy line. It's
pretty sick. I'll blast the top with a pedal up. We'll get a banger. Let's go. I missed that bigger
lip. Wimped. It's a bit blowy down here. That's cool. Super cool.
Ready for this. I went far. A big hit. Massive. That's sick. That line was well fun.
Upset that we've got it as it's basically closing. There's these endless trails that,
if you look that way, they wiggle around. If you drive on the motorway past,
the whole place is filled with trails. We'll actually have to come back in the summer because
they've got a big dirt jump arena and an indoor pump track as well, which is cool.
I want to do, I want to see if I can 270 this actually.
Oh, nice. That three was luck. Oh, that might be an illegal line. Look, flat out and then hip
into there to finish the session and literally land right next to the van. Let's try it.
Yes, straight to the van. What a cool place. This is such a fun bonus. Fly up 417,
filled with trails. I'm definitely going to be back when the days are a bit longer,
but that's still not the end. We're going to do more bangers on this beast. Come on.
Day four of shredding, the finale location. We're at the local. This is Twisted Oaks.
We're on the lower slope line. Unfortunately, it's been freezing all week and it's thawed out
now. All the big jumps in the open are running super slow. We can't do exactly what we wanted,
but what an epic video it's been. The Canyon Torque On and Spectral On are absolute shredders.
As you've seen, they handle the biggest hits and you can have the most fun ever on them.
They are available right now on Canyon's website. You can see the link here or it's in the
description. Get involved. For the finale, we're just going to smash out some tricks, flips, whips,
and fun on lower slopes though, lying here. It's such a good e-bike loop here. You do them two
jumps. Slow dream and stop here. Get a little turn and you can literally just pedal back up
and loop all day on the eave. I love it. Let's flip that first one and three this one.
That feels sick on this thing. I was going into that flip like,
oh, yes, I've got to pull hard on the eave, a little over-rowing. That's so fun. What a section.
Oh, threes do feel amazing on this. Let's just get my classic trick, backflip no-hander,
in real time. Let's add some spice to the run. Oh my good, that was not spicy at all. Round two.
Let's do a one-foot can flip like we did at Windhill, but this is a bigger jump,
so I might be able to get a little bit of a bar turn one. We should do it straight
and slow. A bit of classical dreams. What a lovely finale trick, flip one-foot can.
Super cool. I was going to start getting into some other bangers, but realized
my cranks are a bit spinny. I don't have the rubber guard on there. That's for another video.
I've got some cool plans for new tricks. If you want to have any ideas of tricks for the e-bike,
get them written below. I hope you liked the longer version of the video. We're going to
restart doing these throughout the rest of the year now. Let me know what you think about longer
videos. Hope they're of interest to you guys. That's the end. See you in the next one.
