AI GeneratedWhile AI stocks capture public attention, financial leaders like Jamie Dimon and Warren Buffett warn of a dangerous trend: extreme market leverage. The shift from professional trading to high-leverage retail gambling has created a volatile environment. Investors are urged to prioritize quality companies and avoid leverage to protect themselves from an inevitable market correction.
Everyone's being distracted by AI companies. You see stocks soaring and then suddenly fall in the
AI sector. Everybody's looking at it, but at the same time the most powerful bankers in the world
are quietly warning that they see a problem lurking in the background. Jamie Dimon, he's
the CEO of JP Morgan, that's the world's largest investment banking company. He says that the
markets now are over leveraged. Leverage has never been higher, so just think if you go back maybe
10 years, 15 years, the market had investors that were all professionals. It was literally fund
managers and people that were experts at trading. The public gradually more and more invested. You've
added algorithms, but now what you've got is a highly leveraged market. And what does that mean?
You see people buying leveraged ETFs. You see people buying stock, but not just buying stock
simply, but leveraging three times, four times, five times. Okay, when you're in that market,
JP Morgan and Jamie Dimon says, that is gambling. And guess what? The most famous investor in the
world is Warren Buffett. He says exactly the same time. He says, when you look at the market,
one end you've got a church, that's when people are praying that everything works out okay.
Other end you've got a casino, and that's where everybody's gambling. He says, right now everybody's
in the casino end. They're not in a market whereby they're actually looking at reality.
So if you're looking at investing right now, what should you be aware of? Well, just be aware that
you do have certain stocks, particularly in the AI sector, where you see massive, massive returns,
where they go shooting up, but also shooting down. In other words, if you're an investor,
you've got to look at quality companies. You shouldn't be leveraged. And also, you should be
aware that if there is over leverage, at some time, you may get a correction. Of course, we've seen in
America in particular, that private investors, the public, they tend to buy the dip, or they always
buy the dip, or at some stage, will they run out of money. Jamie Dimon's warning, I'm alongside
Jamie, because I think he's absolutely right. We've got to be concerned about this leverage.
And that means when you're investing, try and make sure you talk to a financial advisor.
Look for companies on sensible PE ratios. Look for companies that are going to be around
regardless. Don't gamble, because if you gamble, at some stage, you are going to get a market fall.
And when you do, it's going to hit the companies that have been the ones that have been leveraged
the most. Do you agree? Leave a comment below,
just so we can see who thinks this market is over leveraged.
