Bonjour. It is me, Petit Fin.
Today, I am going to teach you five French words.
Are you ready?
Because I have been practicing my teaching face all morning.
Word number one.
This is the most important word in all of France.
When you see anyone, your friend, your neighbor,
even a very small dog,
you say, Bonjour.
Say it with me.
Bonjour. Bonjour.
Oh look, here comes Amie.
Amie, say bonjour to our friends.
Bonjour.
Magnifique. You see, even she can do it.
Word number two.
Petit Fin gives Amie a pretzel.
She is very lucky.
What does Amie say?
She says merci.
Merci means thank you.
And in Paris, we say merci for everything.
Merci for the bread.
Merci for the sunshine.
Merci for listening to this magnificent bread.
Your turn. Say it with me.
Merci. Merci.
Word number three.
This one is a little longer, but you can do it.
I believe in you.
S'il vous plait.
S'il vous plait. This means please.
In France, you always say s'il vous plait when you want something.
Amie, ask me for a croissant.
Un croissant. S'il vous plait.
And Petit Pas says oui. Yes.
Because she asked so beautifully.
Now you try. S'il vous plait.
Very good. I am already very proud of you.
Word number four.
And five.
Because I am giving you a bonus word.
Oui. This means yes.
Say it. Oui. No.
This means no. Say it. No.
Now I am going to ask you something.
Is Petit Pas the most magnificent bread in all of Paris?
Oui or non?
The answer is oui. I thought so.
Is Amie a croissant? Oui or non?
No. She is not a croissant.
She is a little girl. Very different.
Bonjour. Bonjour. Hello. Hello.
Merci. Merci. Thank you so.
S'il vous plait. S'il vous plait. Please.
Oui. And non. Yes. And no.
Merci. Merci. Thank you so.
S'il vous plait. S'il vous plait. Please.
Let us remember our five French words.
One. Bonjour. Hello.
Two. Merci. Thank you.
Three. S'il vous plait. Please.
Four. Oui. Yes.
