Inspired by Autumn Floods, one of the most profound chapters of Zhuangzi, this long-form traditional Chinese ambient suite reflects on the vastness of heaven and earth, the limits of human perception, and the humility that comes from encountering something greater than oneself.

The story begins with the River God, proud of the vastness of his own waters, until he reaches the Northern Sea and suddenly understands the true scale of the world. Through this encounter, Autumn Floods transforms a journey across rivers into a meditation on perspective: what appears immense from one place may be small from another, while the true measure of heaven and earth cannot be contained by any single point of view.

Featuring authentic traditional Chinese instruments and a restrained natural soundscape, the music moves from quiet streams and autumn rivers toward vast horizons, distant mountains, open skies, and the immeasurable sea. Inspired visually by Ten Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, the album unfolds like an expansive ancient landscape scroll, gradually widening the listener's sense of distance and scale.
