All right, so things have changed a lot since wintertime.
We're in kind of the heat of the summer
and really it's all about getting hay done.
We got a short growing season here.
Really everything starts growing in May
and we're done being able to have anything
substantially growing by the end of September.
So we gotta take all we can of that season.
So really the day-to-day right now
is just keeping everything irrigated,
getting hay put up, getting silage made,
trying to make sure all the hay gets in the barn or covered
just in case we get a thunderstorm or something like that.
But it's a lot busier because like I say,
we've got this short window to get crops in
and get everything done and keep everything irrigated.
So all hands on deck.
During the wintertime you can kind of kick back
a little bit, there's still a lot to do,
but during the summer there's no time.
It's a lot of all-nighters baling hay
and all day long in the heat,
trying to make sure equipment is fixed
and animals are moved and hay gets put away.
But it's my favorite time of the year.
I love it.
I'd rather be warm and hot and sweaty
and dirty all day long and running around
from spot to spot than cold and short days.
So I wouldn't want it any other way.
It's definitely a lot of fun
and I think I have some really good employees
and some people that really helped me get this process done
and I couldn't do it without them.
Yeah, so yeah, it's a good time of year.
