2024 EXTREME Fall Clean With Me // The Worst My House Has Ever Looked!

Hello my loves, it's your girl Rachel. Welcome back to the channel, and today I wanted to do a clean with me video. Now this is me being super candid with y'all. My house was a disaster, and the worst it's been in a long time. I usually don't let the house get this crazy. It's the last week of summer for my kids. I had them stay up and play all night, and oh my gosh, one thing led to another. Next thing you know, my house is looking like a crap show. So I figured to go ahead and clean right alongside with you all. Let's talk, let's chat, grab a cup of tea or coffee, honey, and let's get this show on the road. I hope it gives you guys some inspiration to get that house cleaned up also, okay? But I love to watch Hallmark, specifically during this time around. I'm a Hallmark person, but seasonally. So I don't watch it during the summer or the spring. I only watch Hallmark fall time, and then right into Christmas, okay? And I can rewatch the same thing over and over, no matter how cheesy it is. So I had to put on a fall movie as I cleaned the home. I started off with the living room. Usually I start off with the kitchen, but the kitchen was so bad that I didn't even wanna stress myself out, and I decided that the living room was the easiest place for me, and then I went into the kitchen. Now, let me know how you clean your home. My family always teases the way I clean because I never use, I never use rags. I've tried to get into them, but I am just a paper towel girl, okay? I like to clean with paper towels, and then I throw them away. But my family, they all use rags, and I know it's better. I'm gonna try to do better, but it is what it is. I decided to give my home a deep, deep clean because, oh my gosh, the dust around my home has been crazy, and I've been suffering from allergies and sinuses. So I was like, you know what? Let me take my time today. Let me get down to the nitty gritty, clean the dust off of the TV stand, and vacuum, and do all the things. Also, this rug that you're seeing that I'm vacuuming is from TikTok. It's from the brand Janimo. Let me know if you've ever purchased anything from TikTok. I really like this rug. It's thin, it's comfortable. But anyway, this is me cleaning up the table. We had McDonald's that day, so yeah. When the kids were done, I just left it, and usually I clean as I go, but this day I was just like, forget it. So yeah, and then I didn't move the puzzle. My son loves Dog Man. We put the puzzle together, and I've yet to glue it together. So that needs to be done because it's just sitting there taking up space, okay? But yeah, this is us vacuuming. And this rug, I love it. It's from Amazon. It's a nice dark color, as you can see. It's like a dark blue, and there's some pinks in there. But you never see when food's on there. You have to look very closely to see all the crumbs, so I really, really appreciate that. But anywho, now, as you can see, I'm moving on to cleaning up the kids' toys. And I started off, and then I went back to the kitchen because I'm like, look, when it comes to the kids' toys, let me know if you're a parent like this, but sometimes when the kids aren't around, I'll throw away little toys here and there because they get broken, and then my kids, they get all clingy to them, and I'm like, oh my gosh, this toy was broken. So sometimes I'll clean it, but I went back to putting them away. Like you guys saw, I started with the toys, got frustrated, and then went to the kitchen. But yeah, this is a real life moment, okay? But yeah, with the toys, I usually sometimes let my kids clean them, but mainly their room. I give them responsibility to clean that. Downstairs, I like to do the cleaning just to make sure things go in the right place. My kids are pretty rough, they're still young, so things get flown around and not put in the right spot, and I'm like, ah, I'll just do it. So upstairs in their room, I let them clean and put things where they want, but downstairs, I kinda like some sort of order. And then I went to cleaning the dishes, as you saw. Y'all, the dishes, the amount of dishes was insane. I don't use a dishwasher. I've used it a few times, it is convenient, but I don't know, I just like washing. And then it's nice to watch a movie as I'm watching, because the TV is directly across from me, so it was really nice. You probably didn't notice me, but I was very into this love story. I was watching, I think it's called All the Heart or something. It's like a trilogy on Hallmark, and it is so cute, and it is fall themed, so I was obsessed. After cleaning up the kitchen, I decided to take out the trash. This is usually my husband's job, so I just put it near the door, and then I filled up this cute basket, y'all, with apples, how cute! It just fulfills that fall vibe, right? So let me know, if you're a parent and your kids are going back to school, are you excited, or are you kinda sad to see your kids leave, or bittersweet? Let me know your feelings, because I'm sad that my kids are actually going back to school. I feel like this summer went so quick, and I didn't get to do every single thing that I wanted to do. We did a lot, but I didn't do everything, so I don't know, kinda savoring this last week. Anyway, now you see me here cleaning the cabinets. I don't always clean these as much as I should. I do it like once or twice a month. They do get a little dirty a lot. You can see the stains, because it's dark wood. So I try to clean them often, but it is one of those things that I forget. And then I asked my husband to clean the trash can, which I don't do often either, and usually when it comes to the trash, I like it to be cleaned outdoors, but it was storming this night. The weather's been really bad here in Florida, so I just did it in the sink, and then I just bleached the sink and threw away the sponge. But yeah, we needed to clean that trash, because sometimes it gets all yucky, and I don't put a trash bag in right away sometimes, which is bad on my part, and then the kids will sometimes throw things in the trash without a trash bag, so it needed to just be all cleaned up. I ended off my cleaning with sweeping up the floor. I did mop a couple of days prior to me filming this, so it didn't need to be mopped, thank goodness. Just a quick little sweep. There was a few crumbs, and this was the completed home. It felt so cozy and nice and clean. I put on a candle, and my movie was done just in time.
