Now, Gordon Ramsay is one of the most famous chefs in the world. He's got over 90 restaurants,
but can you enjoy his food on a little bit more of a reasonable budget? Now, I have reviewed four
of his restaurants so far on the channel in London. We had one of the best burgers I've ever
had over at Bread Street at Battersea. I also went to Hell's Kitchen, which is a new addition,
and it was a bit of a mixed one. I did have lovely service. And then we had a questionable
roast dinner at Headon Street. And then over at the River Restaurant at the Savoy. Great food,
but I did leave a little bit hungry. But we are at Gordon Ramsay's Bar and Grill here in Mayfair
on Grosvenor Square. I'm going to quickly show you the menu while we're outside, and I can talk
clearly, but we've got two courses for £22. That feels pretty reasonable, especially for the area,
and three courses for £27. Obviously, plus service charge, which is about 12.5%. What do we fancy?
I'm thinking the flat iron, as it is a grill, a bit of a cheaper meat cut bar. And then we have
got sides. They always are more £7.50 on set menu. £7.50 for some fries. Bone marrow mash,
that would be rather nice. Some nice options. A little bit steep on the sides, but we'll see
how nice it is inside. And then desserts. Oh, okay. It's going to be between the cheesecake
and the chocolate brownie, let's be honest. And this is available Monday to Friday until 6pm.
So it's a little lunch moment, and I've just noticed it is a 15% service charge. They are
creeping up in London, but just to mention, they have got Lucky Cat. That's probably the
fancy, fancy place. I have to say that might be one of the friendliest welcomes I've ever had
at a restaurant. The lady was just so lovely. Also to note, when I sat down, I got like the
regular menu. They never, ever give set menus out in restaurants. I think we had this in a
few different places. I just don't understand what's the point of doing a set menu if you're
not actually going to give it to people. Unless it's to, in my opinion, a set menu is to entice
people into slightly more expensive places, to maybe come back and do a la carte. But anyway,
I've got it now. But it's quite nice in here. Yeah, it's a bar and grill, so it is quite informal.
Quite like the design of it. I like the leather comfy seats and some furniture is a little bit
dinked up, but sullivy. I think the table setup is nice. Not too close to each other. If it's a
date night, there's a little bar area over there. Yes, it is as advertised, but I just have to note,
look at these cocktails. They've got quite the selection. £17, £50, £18, £19. We are in
Madefair, but that is a fair bit cheaper than some of the other hotels nearby. A Peroni is £8.50.
Oh gosh, but I'm not an alcoholic. This is the cheapest place that I have seen, I think, ever.
This is cheaper than a pub in some cases. So yeah, you can get some non-alcoholic cocktails for a
reasonable price. They're usually about £11 to £12. I know, crazy. Oh, I like the sound of a
cocktail being made, don't you? Yeah. Is it worth doing these set menus? Are you getting the premium
service of these fancy pants restaurants for a reasonable price, and also in a pretty informal
setting? I've got trainers on and jeans. I hope they don't mind. Oh, this looks well nice. A lemon
swizzle, lemon passion fruit, pineapple mint, and a dash of Sicilian lemon soda for £7. Oh,
I like the glass that it's in. Because all these lovely guys are doing food reviews, but honestly,
as a girly, I'm like, what glass is it coming in? Is there a cute tablecloth? It's those things
that I will assess. Oh my god, that's bloody gorgeous. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh, I feel like I
want a whole tap of that. Beautiful. Finally showing you some food. I've got the sauerkraut
croquette with aioli, parmesan, and it is not the healthiest, but who cares? I love aioli. It's kind
of like a garlicky, I call it like a garlicky, mayo-y, olive oil sauce. Gorgeous. I've put you
on top of the light. I hope they don't mind. I'm trying to vlog out the way. This looks so good.
It smells insane. Oh no. The problem, oh my gosh, that is so cheesy. Do you know what? The aioli
underneath isn't as strong. Sometimes when you get aioli, it's like really, really garlicky.
Yeah, that's really lovely. I think they've been very generous with the parmesan on the top as
well. Nice and crispy. The golden element on the outside is gorgeous. Sometimes croquette things
can either be really crispy or a little bit oily. That is perfect. How beautiful that is. Did you
see how quick that camera changed? I changed the settings on this camera, so hopefully it's better.
It's so nice in here, literally, which is crazy because actually when I did the bread kitchen
location where I had the really nice burger at Battersea, there's quite a few of those,
they were all nice there, but it was like so awkward. I feel like they were just scared of
getting like shouted at. It was a really, it was a bit uncomfortable, I must admit,
but it seems like a really happy bunch of people to be fair. But anyway, these are beautiful. Yeah,
super cheesy inside. The sauerkraut has got a little bit of a tang to it. It's not too
strong sauerkraut. I do like it when it's not too overbearing, but yeah, it's basically like
a really nice cheesy ball with a little bit of sauerkraut and extra cheese on the top,
and I am not mad about it. Actually, if you were here with someone else, looking at it,
I kind of would like to try the whipped cod roe. That sounds really interesting. So yeah,
a nice little sharer. I think if there's a few of you, just order basically everything on the menu.
Chuck it in the middle. I don't know, but then I don't like sharing my food. 9.5. I don't give
10s very often. 9.5. My drink, 9.8. All right, this is going well. All right, fingers crossed
for the main and the dessert. Yeah, Lucky Cat, which is like the really expensive restaurant
next door. I just went to the bathrooms, and it's shared bathrooms, nice toilets. Some people
keep complaining I'm not showing the toilets. They've even got some nice little Diptyque
hand soaps and moisturisers in there. It's nice to go somewhere where they're not like
really pretentious, because sometimes a lot of like steak places are. All right, for some reason,
my microphone cut out here, but I got the flat iron. It comes medium rare, and Hannah, tell me,
what sauce does it come with? Chimichurri sauce underneath it. Oh, look at that. I'll show you in
a second. And it also comes with a potato, is it pavé? Excuse my ignorance, pavé. Layered potatoes.
That looks lovely and crispy. A little bit of salt on the top there. Let's dive in. Yeah, I mean,
this is so good. Got a little steak knife. So yeah, flat iron tends to be, obviously, it's not,
it's not your fanciest of steak quality, but it still should be very melt in the mouth,
very rich and buttery in flavour. That is gorgeous. Hold on a minute.
It's not too chewy. We've had a few chewy steaks in our time on this channel. It cuts beautifully.
I really, really like how it's been cooked. It's got a lovely little char on the outside.
Yeah, the lumps of salt on the top are a wonderful addition. Lovely jubbly.
It's really good. Really good. Very nice. Thank you. Honestly, this drink is blooming gorgeous.
Also, I do have a cold sore. Who gets a cold sore in the middle of the summer, Hannah?
Such a drama queen, aren't I? But yeah, this is really beautifully cooked. And if I compare this,
let's compare it to other reasonably priced steaks. You've got flat iron,
which I did review a while ago and it gave me a really good score. That's like, you know,
15, 20 quid. This is way, way better quality. I mean, it is Gordon Ramsay, but for the price,
they can't be making any money on this. I think they probably hoped I'd order a bottle of wine.
I really, really like that they've got a chimichurri sauce with this. I think this
is really, really special. The parsley is lovely. It's got a little bit of a kick with
the chilies there. A little bit garlicky. I feel like there must be some like red wine
vinegar or something in there, but it definitely feels like a really nice summery steak. I don't
think I've had chimichurri with steak for a very, very long time. I think maybe at Harry's,
and I didn't rate it because it was really oily, but this is a really, really nice mix.
Also, what time is it? It is half past one on a Friday. There's only like three other people,
three other tables here. I went past the place around the corner by Boat House. Some of you guys
know where I'm in. Oh my God, that is really bad, isn't it? I need to get some stuff on my lip.
There was a set menu and it was £44. This at £27. I mean, so far, this is...
What? I don't get it. They can't be making any money on this.
Why? Well, I'm going to interrupt myself because, guys, when you are traveling in 2026,
you need to make sure you have data on your phone. We've all been on holiday where you want to look
up a map, look up a restaurant, and you haven't got data. This is where the lovely guys at Salee
come to the rescue. What is Salee, you may ask? Salee is an eSIM provider, and they have got data
for over 200 destinations. Back in the day, you had to queue up at the airport or go to some iffy
corner shop in the hope that maybe the SIM card works, but because it's an eSIM, you don't need
to replace your SIM card. You simply download it before you go or when you get there, and boom,
you've got data on your phone. We need to say goodbye to ridiculous roaming fees. We've all
been on a trip where you're like, oh, don't worry, I'm just going to use the hotel Wi-Fi.
It is not reliable enough because sometimes on a trip, you can't help but send a photo back home.
Trips are way more enjoyable when you know you can quickly look something up, and that includes maps
to a restaurant and might potentially stop some family arguments, let's be real. So, guys,
download the Salee app today and get an exclusive 15% on data plans. Just use my promo code,
HANNAHRIKITS, at the checkout. All right, back to me. Oh, this looks really rather gorgeous,
doesn't it? Look at the crunch, look at the crisp, look at the layers. Not the healthiest,
but who cares? This is hard to do one-handed. I probably shouldn't use the knife. Look at all
those layers. It looks so crispy. Let's see what this is like. Right, open up, guys. Do you know
what? I just need to accept that I vlog in restaurants, and if people look, as long as
I'm not bothering anyone, there's no one sat next to me. That is stunning. I feel like I need to do
some merch with just stunning and oh my gosh on it. Lots of little layers of potato, and I think
it's like butter in between the layers. I mean, goodness me, this is a treat, isn't it? The salt
on top. Honestly, the salt is stunning. Crispy on the top. If I can get it on the fork. Oh my gosh.
Lovely, jubbly. Really, really nice, and it's a really nice flavour difference too.
I guess the heavy flavour on the chimichurri is quite tangy, and then you've got the creaminess
and the crunch of this pavé. I feel like I'm saying that wrong, although I shouldn't really
be doing food reviews if I don't have to say stuff, but you guys know me. I like to do very,
very informal reviews. As a normal, regular Jo, I can tell you whether this is worth your money.
This is so nice. I can't believe it. They've got this little like kind of private dining area,
and the lovely guy was like, come and see our fridge where they're drying all of the meat.
They've got Himalayan salt at the bottom there, and then he's just talked me through all the
different meats. He was saying that the lagyu, they like feed them all this crazy nice food.
They listen to music. I don't know if he's pulling my leg for that one, but yeah, really,
really lovely to see all of the different meats. Obviously not on the set menu, all the way through.
Yeah. What's your favourite? I feel like T-bone steak is maybe my favourite.
Maybe, maybe. All right. What should we go for? The brownie or the cheesecake? I think it's going
to have to be the cheesecake, right? I think somewhere like this. If you can get amazing
quality food that's beautifully cooked, really something special. Like, I mean, this is, I mean,
let's be real here. This is probably, I'd say half price of Hard Rock Cafe. I might add that to my
list, but those touristy places, the fact that this place isn't full is ridiculous. I did look
and a Coke or a Diet Coke is like six pounds. So I think drink spice, sometimes that puts people
off. But Monday to Friday, this is insane. Like this is cheaper than a pub. This is literally
cheaper than a Mayfair pub around the corner. This is a pretty decent sized dessert. So yeah,
I went for the cheesecake. Oh my gosh. Look at the raspberries. We've got almond and lemon
ice cream. Almond and lemon, that's a new one. Look at the little crumb at the bottom.
Now this looks, oh, look at that. I think you're a bit jealous watching this, right? How is this
only 27 pounds? Now, before I bite this, I don't even really like cheesecake. So if it's good.
All right. All right. Now we're talking. Now we are talking. So where it's a Basque cheesecake,
it's got that kind of like, um, kind of crisp to it, almost caramelization. I don't know if that's
what you call it, but cheesecake generally for me, I don't really usually care for because
it can be a bit like grainy. I don't know if that's the right word to use, but it can feel
a little like a bit manufactured. Maybe that's the places that I'm going. I've been to a few
places that have cheesecake, but this is a smooth, it's, it's quite dense actually. It's not too sweet
actually. It's the point where I'm literally inhaling it. Um, yeah, I really, really like
that kind of slight crisp on the edge there. Can you see? Okay. All right. This video has not gone
I thought, I thought this was going to be very mediocre, right? Let's try this ice cream. This is
almond and lemon. Looks nice. Oh, that's a nice balanced flavor. I really, really, really like
almond flavored things. I do like the crisp. Battery's running out. Brilliant. Honestly,
I spent my life charging everything that I own. Does anyone else find that? My goodness me,
but what was I going to say? Yeah, it's a really, really nice balanced flavor.
And I actually like that it's come out and it's ready to eat and it's not melting everywhere.
A lot of times you go places, you get ice cream, it's already half melted. They're on it at the
kitchen. Ding, ding service. These are lovely and juicy. I don't think I said these are,
if I can get it in focus. Oh my God. Come on camera. Let's go with the cheesecake rather
than the raspberries. Oh, I know about. So macerated raspberries. So yeah, beautiful,
fresh raspberries. And then they've got a little bit of sugar. They've got a little
bit of like a syrupy going on. I think they add water or something like that. Um, yeah,
really, really nice. And I think that extra liquid is needed. It's really, really lovely.
Obviously with the cheesecake and gorgeous ice cream. This is so nice. And I say that
because I swear half the time when you go for like a seasonal menu, I like, it doesn't really
feel like the season, but when I'm filming this, this feels so spot on for the weather.
Hopefully it's still sunny when you're watching this. Um, yeah, this ice cream, I don't even like
cheesecake. I think I'm going to have to give that like a 9.5 out of 10. Really, really nice,
decent portion. I was expecting really, really small portions, especially based on the river,
whatever it was called. I went to the Savoy where it was like Diddy, do you remember?
And I went to McDonald's after. There's a good, decent amount of food. If you're wondering,
you don't get branded napkins. There isn't too much Ramsey-ifying in here. There's no
portraits of him. Ironically, where it's obviously like a bar and grill, there's got,
they've got a TV on. I actually would remove the TV. I feel like it doesn't add any,
anything to the vibe of it. They've got news on, do you know what I mean? No one wants to
watch that. It's depressing. So I think I'll get rid of that. I think they should add more
of their hills. I don't know if they need to keep it in the right lane, but I do think
maybe just take a picture of Gordon on the wall. I'm just saying, or like, I don't know,
Union flag, Union Jack or whatever would be nice. And I think maybe swap out some of these chairs.
They are a little bit dinked up. I mean, the tables are okay. I think just the chairs for me
look a little bit dated, but apart from that, I think it's lovely in here. The bill has come.
I will see you outside. Um, okay. So is this like the biggest secret that Gordon Ramsey doesn't
want to tell us? He doesn't even want to give us the menu. That was ridiculous. Okay. So the bill
came to £39.10. I did get the £7 drink. I know drinks can be a bit expensive, but for three
courses, that's ridiculously cheap. I can't believe how much food you get, the quality of the food.
They were so friendly in there. Service was top-notch. It was super chill, super friendly
vibes. And I just wanted to compare it to, um, Flatiron, which is kind of like the, the place that
a lot of people go to get a reasonably priced steak these days. Um, and I was just looking last
time I went there, that was like £27, £28, and that was with a drink, a steak, um, and some mash.
So for an extra few quid, you can get a starter. I appreciate that the drinks here, the fizzy drinks
are a little bit more money than somewhere like Flatiron, where they're like four quid.
That's ridiculous. I don't understand why that place does not have a queue out the door. I do
not understand. Um, yeah, two courses. Fantastic. I'm, I'm a little bit lost for words. It doesn't
really happen very often. That was the best Gordon Ramsay restaurant that I've been to so far in this
series. All right, out of 10, I'm going to rate that because the service was lovely. The place
was really clean. Um, yeah, I would just swap the chairs out if I'm going to be really picky. And I
give that a 9.8 out of 10. I thought that was bloody fantastic. If you are in the area, we are
literally one block from Oxford Street. This is a great calm area. I mean, Gravenham Square is
currently closed, so they're watering the grass. I don't know when that opens back up again. Um,
but yeah, add it to your list. Again, just Monday to Friday, do double check on the website.
Um, blooming brilliant. What on earth? I can't believe I, why is there not a queue out the door?
Anyway, thank you so much for watching guys. I hope you enjoyed this very informal food review
and do subscribe. I think I'm trying to get to, what am I at? Nearly 450 something thousand? No,
what am I at? I think I'm nearly at 500. Can't remember. But anyway, do subscribe. I'd really
appreciate it. Comment below where you would like to see and new videos are every Tuesday at 6pm
and Friday at 6pm. So I'll see you in a few days time. Bye guys.
