How's it going, everyone?
Today's video, we're going to be talking about getting that stable footage.
We have the Hohem all in one
iSteady multiple three axis gimbal to check out.
This thing is great if you've got a mobile device, you want to stabilize
a small camera, you want to stabilize and even GoPros.
That's right.
So we're going to check it out in today's episode of Good Tech Cheap.
Welcome back to another episode of Good Tech Cheap.
My name is Brad, and I'll be the host for today's episode.
Starting out, if you're new to the show, make sure to follow
where you are seeing this video at.
Today's episode is brought to you by Hohem.
We have their three axis iSteady multi.
This is a three axis gimbal.
And you get tons of options, whether you are a phone videographer
or using a small camera or even a GoPro like myself.
This thing will keep it steady and we're going to get it out of the box.
That's what we think.
But first, don't forget to check out all the links and details
in the description on this product.
So now that is all said and out of the way,
let's get this thing on the table and get it unboxed.
Let's go.
So we have the iSteady multiple three axis
handheld stabilizing gimbal for a compact digital camera
or your phone and a GoPro.
I'm definitely excited to be trying it out with a GoPro.
But you know, first thing we got to do is get it out of the box.
So let's get.
Oh, I'm already excited because it has a case.
You guys know how I love
when cases come with the product, and I am definitely excited
to get the case open and see how neatly everything will be placed.
Oh, yeah, that is nice.
This will be compact, easy to carry around,
but we've got our paperwork right here on top.
We have our tripod handle right here.
That's definitely going to be handy
in here. And here we have an Allen tool
that will be how we can adjust the Allen screws.
Then we have the gimbal itself
and it's three axis.
Pretty awesome.
The branding right there.
The iSteady.
Oh, let's get the protective plastic off.
But here we go.
The buttons feel real nice.
The lever is great.
Oh, yeah, this is going to be nice.
Definitely excited to be checking this out.
We've got a trigger right here.
On the bottom is our tripod mount, or we can use our feet.
And this will allow it to set up left in the box.
We have some attachments,
and this is for the multiple use of setting it up
with different items like the cell phone or your GoPro.
We've got all that in here.
A micro USB cable,
a micro USB adapter.
This is where it will allow you to control Sony cameras.
And that is everything we get in the box.
Let's go get it charged up and try it out.
So just getting this out of the box and set up,
I have completely fell in love with the iSteady Multi.
The Hohem iSteady Multi is a three in one gimbal for a smartphone,
compact camera and action cameras.
The stabilizer has the biggest payload of 400 grams.
That is 0.9 pounds, of course, and can work with compact cameras
and not only a smartphone.
Of course, the height of which do not exceed of 65 millimeters,
which is 2.5 inches.
And not to mention, it can work with the Sony RX100M7,
the Canon PowerShot G7X Mark III,
the Panasonic Luminix DMC-LX10,
the GoPro Hero 8 and so much more.
But if you just want to be safe before picking up this camera,
they do have a compatible camera list that you can find on the site.
And of course, you can find all the links to their site
in the description of this video,
as well as you can find some tutorials on their site
on how to get your first time set up, as well as stabilizing and all that,
because it is completely necessary to have this thing set up
and calibrated for your device.
And not only does this stabilizer work with so many different devices,
it also gives you the option to do camera control with Sony cameras.
Pretty sweet, right?
As for mobile devices, this is a great companion
for like an iPhone 12, an iPhone 12 Pro Max, 11, 11 Pro Max,
your Samsung Galaxies like the S10ES, the 10, the 9, the S9 Plus and more,
as well as your GoPro editions from Hero 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
This gimbal does connections with your smartphone through Bluetooth.
And if you're using a Sony camera, you can connect the Sony multi-cable
that is included in the package
and that will give you all of your Sony camera controls.
But once you have your camera or smartphone set up to run on this device,
you have so many different types of shooting options.
Those options are dolly mode, sport mode, face tracking mode,
motion time lapse, panorama options and so much more.
I mean, this device is loaded down with features.
I myself, I found this thing being phenomenal to use with a phone
and of course, my GoPros.
But of course, when you're using your mobile device,
you have an app that you can download that gives you tons of shooting options
like the face tracking mode that I personally thought was really awesome.
It not only allows you to keep your face in focus, but it will also follow you.
So you can set it up on something like I did on the back of this car
and it will follow my movements around.
Meaning as I move, the camera will follow me.
Of course, keeping everything in focus and perfectly angled for the shot
while using the sport mode, which I highly recommend with GoPros.
The iSteady will be more responsive to its movements
by increasing the motor speed, which is nice
if you want to capture quick changes of direction in your recording,
as well as fast following speeds of this gimbal
enables you to capture the most exciting movements and quick camera transition.
I found this to be excellent while cruising around the one wheel
and getting some awesome footage for you guys,
as well as hanging out with the dog and getting some cool shots
of her running through the grass, as well as if you are a vlogger.
We did a little bit of a vlog test to show you about what it would look like
if you were vlogging using this thing.
So this is the phone vlogging.
If you're using this wanting to vlog with your phone,
you get ultimate stable shots.
I am moving it around and it just comes in really great.
We've got Brittany over here filming me film, and the shot is just so stable.
Forward, back, I can jump.
Whoo! We can even do some running tests
and you can see it's real stable.
You can do some jogging vlogs if you're working out.
This right here is an awesome handy tool for a mobile device,
as well as my GoPros.
So if you're a phone vlogger out there that is looking to spice up
your footage with some stabilization, as well as some face tracking
and a gimbal that will actually follow you and do work for you.
This thing is really cool to have, and I would highly recommend
you to check it out.
And of course, you have tons of options with the mode button.
The single tap gives you pan followings, which will flash once and quick flash.
The double tap will give you the pan and tilt following.
The triple tap will give you the all loft setting, as well as tapping
four times will give you all following an inception mode,
which is basically all the settings I have on my big camera stabilizers.
All summed down into a lightweight, small and compact gimbal for a phone.
And of course, small cameras and GoPros.
But so much power in such a little device.
After all of the use I have put into this device,
I can highly recommend you to check it out because I have thoroughly enjoyed it
and it's done a great job at helping me get some pretty sweet clips.
I got to say.
So definitely make sure you check out all the links in the description
on this product, as well as be sure to get in those comments
while you're seeing this video and let us know how you would use this gimbal
and what you're using right now in your current videography setup.
We'd also like to take this time to give a huge shout out to Hohem
for parting up with us so we could give you this review.
If you found it helpful, then be sure to smash that like button as well.
As don't forget to subscribe and follow where you are seeing this episode.
But that is going to wrap it up for today's episode.
I'd like to thank you all for checking out this video.
And once again, my name is Brad, and I'll be looking forward
to seeing you guys in the next review.
