What's up baby! It's Rachel and today I'm finally here to show you what is in my hospital bag.
So this is the third hospital bag that I've had to pack in the course of my 27 years of life and
I feel like for the most part I know exactly what to bring. I didn't over pack. I didn't under pack.
I got what I got because I know what I need. So also yesterday we had a labor scare. That's going
to be on the main channel where I talk all about it but it kind of pushed me to hurry up and get
this done. So without further ado let me show you all what's in my hospital bag. This is very minimal
because at this point like I said I already know what to bring. With the first I over packed. Second
I did not over pack and third time I definitely didn't over pack. This is very very minimal like
I already know what I'm gonna need. So I'm gonna start off with the baby items because I mean
that's the fun part right. So I have his going home outfit slash like picture outfit you know
when you're at the hospital and then there's a photographer that comes and takes their little
pictures and this is what I have for him. It's a little sleeper. It actually ties on the bottom
like this so his legs are free though. You tie it on the bottom and then it comes with this little
gray hat. I just love it. It is so kinky and it just gives me trendy vibes. So that's what he's
going to be rocking and it has the little mittens and everything because when they're newborns I
like their little hands and feet to always be covered. I also have a lot of little onesies for
him because I put the onesies underneath all of his sleepers. They just make me feel a little
comfortable like he's more cozy. So we have this one and then we also have this one. Here's number
two and then we do have a sleeper. I love this because it's long. His feet will be free. It has
the mittens. Like I said the newborn onesies they'll go under this though. The onesies will
never be shown usually. They're kind of like undershirts in my opinion for me and then I did
bring or pack for him this sleeper which I'm not too big of a fan of these to be honest. The
ones with the zippers and everything. I prefer these because they're just easy to slip on but
I still put them on my registry as a just in case because I mean they are good it's just I prefer
like you know no buttons and stuff for my convenience. I do have another onesie so I have
like three newborn onesies right here. Another sleeper. This one's really cute. I like this one
and even with these I'll put like a onesie underneath. I did order this online and I thought
it was just the cutest. It's a little sleep sack and so what you do is you have your baby like
in what he's wearing a little onesie I guess you can say and then you'll like slip him in this.
It's mainly for pictures to be honest and it comes with a little hat so I packed that up for him.
So I thought that was pretty cute. It has like little sloth prints on it and then we have one
more. We have one more newborn sleeper so or onesie if he can't sleep. So those were all of
the clothing that I have for him. I don't think I will be at the hospital long with COVID. They're
trying to get the parents out as quickly as possible but just in case I did pack like an
extra onesie or two so you know that's that. The good thing with the sleepers is like he can
continuously wear them if I stay longer just continuously change the onesies underneath
and then I did bring this for him. This is a um I don't even know a swaddle. I don't I don't know
how to swaddle at all so this time I was like you know what I'm gonna get something where
it's already like pre kind of like you just swallow the kids easily like this. So I thought
that was convenient. So this is like an actual swaddler where you just put them in and you do
some little ties and that's it. I have numerous blankets for him. I believe in a lot of blankets
so I have his thick one and then I have a few of the receiving blankets. I have three of them.
I love this one. It has the little anchor print, the wells and these are just nice to have like
when he's on the bed. I'll have this under if someone wants to hold him then they'll have this
on their shoulder you know so it's just good to have extra blankets and then of course for him to
stay warm too. On the side of the hospital bag I do have his car seat cover which we're going to
actually take it out and like already hook it up to his car seat so when he comes I don't have to
worry about it but I love the car seat covers because especially well with the pandemic going
on I want his face to be covered and everything so this is my first time having an actual good
quality one. What I usually do or what I did in the past was I just put a blanket over the car
seat but this is much more convenient because it has the little loops and everything and you don't
have to like take it off take it on type thing. In my side I have backup masks okay I just I love
to be prepared so I have backup masks. I also am bringing a scarf with me for my hair
and then I do have my going home outfit. I have two packed up just in case. I have
this one right here which is green and it's a flowy dress it's very loose fitting it's a large
because I already know that even after the baby I'm still gonna have some pudge there
and with the difficulty of you know probably walking after the c-section you want something
loose fitting. So I have this it's short though and I have this one that's long and loose fitting
so it depends on the weather actually if I'm cold I'll go with like the longer one if it's
warm outside I'll go with the shorter one. So that's how I have it I always wear dresses leaving
the hospital because it's just so easy. Also I don't like to wear the hospital gowns after I
have the baby I always change into my own outfit so this is what I'll be wearing this is like my
hospital gown and it's honestly just like a nightgown and it's so cute right it's cute for
the hospital but I'll be honest like I got teased for it wearing it at the house they're like it's
such a grandma dress it is but it's so loose fitting it's like an extra large you guys and
it's so comfortable and I wore it for Aria and everybody like complimented me the nurses and
everything because it's like a cute little gown print so I really like it and then I do have a
nursing bra so those are the things that I packed for myself I was gonna buy this time around
the mesh underwear but they give it to you and I don't feel like spending more than I have to
okay and that sounds really cheap but I'm just being honest all right let's go let's go to the
other pouch in the other pouch I have a few hats for him now the hospital does provide you with
the hats but I don't like the hats that well I kind of do but like I rather my own so this is so
cute it has like the little ears so I have this for some of his outfits that don't come with hats
I just brought two of them and I'll alternate I do have socks for myself these are for blood
pressure not blood pressure these are to reduce blood clots I actually got this from um a nurse
so I just brought them with me because with having a c-section you risk the chances of having more
blood clots that's why they have you walk around so soon which is so I brought my own little socks
for that I do have extra mittens for baby boy for the outfits that don't have mittens then I brought
his own and then I do have some lotion for myself this is the cocoa butter I love this one it's
really good and it's thick I do have a pacifier for baby I already disinfected it washed it with
the dapple boiled it all of that stuff the hospital does give you passes but again I prefer my own
because I just think this one is just way too cute so I brought that I do have these little spit up
cloths for baby like they're very thick and long and I was thinking too when I change him I could
probably change him on this so I brought that along I have a hair tie just in case I need to
put this up or anything I just it's always good to have a little extra hair tie and then you have
to have chapstick because at the hospital your lips will be so dry hair socks for the baby just
some extra because the hospital I don't think they provide socks I don't know um but those were all
the things that I have so far so last minute things that I didn't put in here because I'm gonna put it
in probably like as I'm leaving is the charger for my phone charger for the camera and you know
the back of batteries and then of course all of the paperwork like as far as the pediatrician's
information they usually ask that so I'm gonna have a folder so that all the paperwork that I
get from the hospital I know where I'll find it and then um so yeah just paperwork um my insurance
stuff that you have to have on you will be put in here the day I go to the hospital for the baby
and then all of the chargers I'm thinking an extension cord too because I don't want to have
to like stretch myself and like continuously get in and out of the bed with all of the healing going
on so I may get one of those just to like have my phone close to me and easy to charge and that's
about it so I kept it very minimal this time because I already know what I'll need like the
hospital gives you diapers they give you wipes they give you formula so I never pack it ever like
ever ever ever they will give it to you so and I'm gonna let them give it to me too I'm not gonna be
like let me wear my own diapers no I'm gonna save that for when I get home okay just saying just
saying so anyways oh and lastly I did bring this I don't think I'll need it but um I just brought
it in like if I want to put my hair up and I just want to look halfway decent I don't know I just
brought it just in case for my hair but I hope you all enjoyed the video comment like subscribe
