Wang Manyu vs Peng Yu-Han | WS QF | #EuropeSmash 2026

Embrace that unpredictability. We'll talk about that in a moment. The rubbers that are on the racket. Red side as well. Team champion. One more new fans in the building. Cushion now for the number one seed. From 1-1U. And that forehand. And there's that bristly surface. Provide motivation and tactical insight to their players. Both of them doing damage on each other's serves. Number one seed. She's targeting that backhand. It's a constantly evolving riddle that you're trying to solve. Game point again. One more new. For the first time. She gets game point. And she converts it with a smile. And she can barely contain her emotions. I'm so interested to see six, seven shots in a rally. Which isn't something that she's seen in some form this week. That's the usual 1-1U. Good start to this match-up. That one's into the crossover position. Just recognising she's on the big screen. And this is it. Best of seven match-up as well. So she's not on too much yet. She took the opportunity really well there and took it. Phenom of a player. The number one seed. Yeah, this is much, much more controlled. She's calmly going about her business. Six game points. And as they always do. When you take the first game against... Regardless of what happens from this point out. This is trans. It's wonderful to see. Does it multiple times. Every single point. Feels like she's willing to try and risk it. Just hold the ball into the table. That momentum really building for 1-1U. Back within two we go. She apologises because there was a forehand that flicked the top of the net. But it's good. She's starting to step to her left and play the forehand from the backhand side. She has a three-point cushion now. Nice and fast. Keep it low. For the number one seed. Who brings such a tricky style to the table. This is such good repetitions for her. Facing one of the very best. Inside the top 70 she's... Gonna be rising really, really quick. Her match IQ is only going to increase as well. The quarterfinals. On this forehand her timing is so, so good. The ball hits... Smashes through the back of it. That's what's making it such a fun matchup. High pressure moments. But... 1-1U's favourite colour. To show their support. What a point where you hold your breath halfway through. Again 1-1U did really well to just stay balanced. But still the 18-year-old has gained point. And this place falls eerily silent. This is a tug of war out here. Past Pavard. Past Hashimoto. But can 1-1U attack first in this? Smart by the 18-year-old to know she had to be the one to open it up. But again this number one seed... Has serve under her control and has gained point. And it was a change of serve from the forehand side. And she converts it after the timeout. Battle past Hashimoto and then Miyu Nagasaki to earn the right to... Have a swing with the number one seed. Deserves so much credit. Is noisy and it's under the brightest lights. Caught the edge. Fair play to 1-1U. Still has a two-point cushion. Flips it to the red side and then attacks. Element of surprise on point. Sounded like a gunshot. Almost looks surprised as well. That is huge. I made the comparison... To Mima Ito's forehand and... This little pocket got the best seats in the house. Couldn't lift it. And this is what happens if that ball lands slightly short. Number one seed into the semifinals. With a fist pump and what a way to finish it as well. A beautiful forehand up the line. She is special and what she's done all week here in Malmo... Serious. Serious compliments. But 1-1U adjusted exactly how she needed to. And she is now into the semifinals.
