Okay you guys, I'm shy.
We're gonna go to Lake Kachumak.
We're gonna do camp stuff.
We're all really good at doing.
We're having salmon with a miso shaoxing wine glaze.
Fried capers and a sauce made out of like the like a veloute. It's like a French base sauce
that you make out of like one part butter, flour, and beef stock or I use the beef bone stock.
And then I'm adding some of the glaze into it.
And then we have some we have like a pickled cucumber salad with radish and carrots.
We have white rice and then for dessert I'm gonna make like a thick Italian hot chocolate.
And we have marshmallows so yeah so we could dip the roast marshmallows.
I was thinking about getting a cake but I was just like I don't know how we're gonna
have cake. That's between the three of us because it's his birthday.
It's his birthday. It's been his birthday for the past four weeks.
We should celebrate it until the end of the year.
Welcome to his crib. Wow nice nice crib.
Wow that is like bigger than ours for two people.
Hey guys um let's see I'm walking to see the lake but so far we already set up our tents
and oh my god they're we're gonna cook now but I just wanted to go sightseeing a little bit and
walk to the waters. There's like these picnic areas around here that are free to use during
the daytime but you can't camp on this side since it is a pretty deep cliff. But this is so
quiet so serene so beautiful like it is so perfect it's like you're at the ocean but it's
lake so it's even quieter. Um there's this like little bench here it says a great love story like
that's so cute like tell me. We're here at Lake Kachuma um yeah beautiful view it's currently
534 Japan over there you can see we got some a little like animal crossing type neighborhood
uh just a preview of our hopefully future housing in a couple years so that's that and then we got
Chef Joy cooking it up here. What if this is like giving horror movie vibes and then in the horror
movie this is like the intro and then the next shot is us trying to like escape. Except if it's like an
inverse horror movie when we're hunting the killer. Oh yeah.
Say something. It's cold. I'm actually very curious um what Jory's like end of camping
review is. Review? I'm curious too. I'm so curious. For what? For his camping review.
Yeah what your camping review is. You guys what if we become addicted to camping?
Hey that's perfect. Hey now. Hey now. Yeah so a bit of yap time but basically it's um
second time of the year that me and Emma are camping this year we typically camp
fall time for some reason. I don't know it's just busy busy and we're like oh wait we haven't camped
yeah and also birthday so like oh what better thing to do than to camp
but it is Jory's first time in a while camping um and yeah so like Jory and Emma are more the type
of people to just like chillax, comfort, get a hotel. We are currently doing our presentations.
Wait introduce yourself. Hi my name is and I am a camper. Yeah she's a camper.
And she's the cooking mama. The cooking mama. Yeah so the theme is cooking mama because I thought
you know you guys are cooking and I'm like is an egg a meat or dairy? Oh it's a meat. Meat.
It's meat inside. It's an animal. Mama said it's soup. Just kidding. Just kidding. Next slide.
I'm ready. I'm ready. Mama said you're cooking. That's stupid.
Hi guys I'm Max and I'm gonna be talking about my southwest
proposed southwest USA trip in spring of 2026 and I'm gonna at the end I'm gonna try to like
discuss you know how I can invite you guys along. I would say my trip is our trip.
Or maybe like we all drive back to LA. Yeah why don't we all just go to Zion together. Yeah we
can do that. We can do that. And then and we go back to Vegas LA. Yeah you know what's interesting
I like Sedona Antelope Zion. Good morning from Lake Kachuma. We had an interesting night of
sleep. I had an interesting night of sleep. I think I slept straight from 12 30 to 4 30
and then I think like heard sounds or something and then I was like because I have my blindfold
on right and the blindfold puts nice pressure on your eyes so I feel like I was sleeping but awake.
I don't know if that makes sense but I was basically in and out until I think like 5 30 a.m
and then I like went to deep sleep. One thing that's interesting about Lake Kachuma is that
I guess maybe because it's a Friday or Saturday you have a lot of neighbors
and it's probably one of the busiest campgrounds that we've been at where you have so many people
around you. I want to say like so many like obviously you saw the view earlier like there's
just a whole open view but you hear kids to our left there's a whole like RV family to our right
there are like tons of families behind us and stuff very wholesome very cute nothing to complain
about but just something to keep in mind if you go camping at Lake Kachuma is that you should
probably bring earplugs if you're sensitive to sound. This here is our expat mat that we are now trying out
or it's our first time trying out the expat. It's actually pretty solid but it's really good
it's funny because so I've been I was sleeping on like the expat right it's nice warm insulated
I felt like I wanted more space so I put my left I put my left leg like to the side away from
like away from the expat and I was like wow it's a lot colder. How was your experience?
I woke up and I was kicking my feet and I realized it was where the shoes were
and I realized I'm halfway down the expat. Yeah I don't know why. I looked up and Max's head is
all the way at the top and I'm like at the bottom and I think it's because I don't know I was maybe
kicking and then I ended up at the bottom but very nice I liked it. The edge of the water smile
Lake Kachuma has amazing lake views almost amazing sunrise view. It was like cloudy out when we woke up
but then the sun started appearing around like eight sunrise yeah seven thirty eight well I
think the sun already rose at like seven right it just it was just cloudy but then the sun
the sun broke through the clouds. You missed my whole rant. I don't want to start over. I woke up at 4am. It was so cold
because all I had was this on and then I finally understood what my brother was talking to me about
about like putting pads under and then why I might want to bring a sleeping bag whatever I was so
cold I had to put over this shirt I had to put on two sweatpants two socks this was one of the
thick ones for Christmas I had and then I had a hoodie yeah to put so many on I had a varsity jacket
and when I was finally warm I needed a piece
As Joy and MR yapping away I am testing out the solar panels and the battery just to see
how much wattage it's getting. 116 watts well pretty good in terms of like at Joshua I was
getting like 103 watts which is only 50% efficiency of these 200 watt solar panels
now I'm getting 116 which is still not that great but it does mean it can charge up to 25%
of the battery capacity at 2 hour 36 minutes. Not super impressed but also not super disappointed
is how I would say about these Anker solar panels.
67!
Look at this makeshift lamp setup where the lamp is literally sitting on top
of propane gas but it really lights up everything like you can literally see the entire thing
it's so good it's so good yeah and then for Joy's prep side we have this Anker battery
literally the led is so bright that I'm gonna assume that Joy can see everything as it preps
I can I have no problems there's no problems prepping man look this is the customers customers
no I want you in my hand
this is the third day I think this is the third day I'm feeling a little awake got a good
seven hours of sleep so I'm gonna make some ramen and go for a jog
I just got up Joy is still sleeping I believe so yeah that's what we're gonna do
hello hey joggers
six seven six seven
wow it's like a little fog that's very pretty
