Let's make us a cool little tree house. This is a gigantic hollow tree and today we're going to
try to cut a doorway in here and clean it out inside and see. It's a very hardwood tree so
we're going to try to cut a hole, make a doorway. Let's just see what happens. Maybe we'll make a
nice little room in there, a nice little playhouse. Here we can see a big amount of I don't know what
rotten log, something that makes me very tempted to haul it all for my garden.
But we don't know what's in there. There could be some scary creatures in there.
I wonder what kind of creatures might be hiding inside of there. Hopefully nothing bad.
All right let's see what's behind there, behind that door.
Wow a jaguar. Just kidding.
That's a bunch of bat poop and I promise I'm coming to get that for my garden.
Okay let's clean it out. Oh that's scary.
And now we have the hole made. Now we're going to make, we're going to make a fire out of old
dry leaves from palm trees to make minimum heat, maximum flames and smoke for just a short period
of time to smoke out any bats or anything that could be hiding in this enormous tree.
Oh look at that. Oh I'm climbing that line lady.
What? Daddy's gonna make a fire in our big tree house to smoke out the bats, to smoke the monster
out. Right? Wow any bats that were in there aren't in there no more I hope. The bats like to go in
there and they sleep in there probably if there are any. At the very very top of the tree way
up there, up there, there's there's a hole where any animals that are in there like bats can get out.
That's what we're hoping. Look the smoke is coming out way up there.
See? I now present to you guys my new home or my new oven. At the very top we discovered there's a
hole where the smoke is coming out and along with the smoke we saw a bunch of bats flying out too
so it worked. We're just gonna let this fire die down and then it's safe for us to go in.
Are you having fun? Yeah. What do you think of our tree house? I want to get in there. You want to get in there?
It's okay both of you. It's a swing for two.
This tree house comes with its own swing with its own spot to climb up all the way to the top if
you want to. How is it in there? Is it scary or not? Is it nice? That's a perfect place to go hide from
the jaguar right? You can hide in there with you. And that's our cute little tree house that we made
today. Who wouldn't want to live in the bottom of a tree? And now we're gonna do the rest. We have
food we brought along to grill. We already have our little house. Now we're gonna make our food.
So guys look is there cute little house. We smoked all the monsters out. Even a big anteater came
crawling off the top. We didn't get a video but it was pretty scary. But then we knew everything was
right. Bats came flying off. They left and what was that? Oh nothing. When we leave we're going to put
this heavy door back on just to keep our home nice and safe. There's a big hole at the top though
that anything can come in. But I think it's pretty cool. We love this place. We're definitely gonna
come back and play with the children here a lot. But guys let me know what you think. While the
rest of the family is gathering firewood for our campfire, I'm gonna clean up here. Cut all the
little twigs and stuff away. Make it nice and clean so it's nice and comfy for the spot where
we're going to have our picnic. Here I'm making myself a stick rake because I don't have an actual
rake. But this works pretty good if you don't have anything else. You just grab a stick that has a
bunch of pickets on the end. A bunch of sticks coming out and then simply rake just like this.
It works very good. I learned this when I was a little girl. It works very well. Firewood.
Now it's time to make our fire. There we have a bunch of small kindling and some dry leaves.
That's very easy to start a fire. What are you doing? Are you all right? Wow this is a nice
place. There we have our little house. We've got our campfire and having a lot of fun learning how
to climb big trees. All right let's see what I brought for our lunch and look here plantains.
Of course plantains. Some cut up beef in small pieces and salt and yucca. Yucca plantains and
meat. That's what's going to be our lunch and I better get the yucca on right away while the fire
is nice and hot. So I'm going to pour in some salt and some water we have here from the creek.
We have our fire already hot here. Good that should boil soon and now we need to get the
meat ready. Find a spot here for the plantains while they're in their little housey, their tree
house. Here we have the meat. Now we have to get this on the stick. Here we have some delicious
meat already salted and spiced earlier. Here you go. Thank you. Here. Do you want a piece of meat
to grill? Yeah like Ethan. Like Ethan? Okay wait. Like Candace. Like Candace? Yeah. Here you go.
And there the yucca is already boiling.
We stick the stick right through this meat. It's gonna be very good. So I'm getting smoked out
myself. This is very very hot this fire. That means our lunch is gonna be done soon. I'm pretty
sure that the yucca is done. So we're gonna pour off. Oh that was hot. We're gonna try to pour off
all the water without pouring the yucca out of the pot. Here. I always said dirt from the woods
isn't real dirt. It's just rotting leaves, rotting sticks which doesn't, it doesn't carry any kinds
of diseases. Maybe a little bad pee. Nothing big. And there's the yucca. Let's see. Yep it's done.
Cheers. Bon appetit. And there he has his meat. Here. Somebody was over there sitting and eating
his meat but he's seen that there was yucca so he came. And if you can tell his face is a little
bit swollen on this side because a bee stung him yesterday but it makes him so cute. Is it good?
Thumbs up.
Yummy. Can I get a thumbs up? Can I get a thumbs up? You want me to save some for you?
Bite hard. That's my boy. And with the leftovers we made ourselves a nice supper.
In there we have some meat frying with yucca. Look at that how delicious it is. If anybody's still
hungry there's gonna be enough food for them. Everybody already ate. Here we have more meat
still. Nice spot to climb here. I don't know how high I should climb though. Ah there was so many
ants. Ants got all over me. Now it's time for us to go back so we're gonna shut the door of our
little house. So is this the outside? I guess the side with the bark on it right? Okay.
Okay. It's our little housey. Shut the door so no predators get in until we come back.
We don't want anyone else moving in while we're gone. Right? All done. And now we can come back
any day we want. Have a nice picnic here. Play inside the house. Swing on the vines. And just
like that our day is over. It's time to go home. Bye bye. He says yeah we're gonna go bye bye away
from this nice little tree house. We have to go home now and this little guy needs a nap. But guys
I hope you guys enjoyed our adventure. Bye.
