If you got thick hair and you feel like there's nothing that could really get your beard down that low, or your head, if you're doing a head shave, this thing's got, the motor inside this shaver picks up more speed as it feels resistant. So the thicker your hair is, and it's starting to feel that tug, it will put more power into that shaver, so that it will mow through any type of hair density at all. This shaver is by far my best shaver. I use this on all full bald head shaves, on the neck, super smooth, it's super close. Like I said, this one's crazy smart, literally.
