Hello Hi there. Hi. Welcome. Who are you? My name is Nicolina. I am 21 and I'm a singer-songwriter Wow Well, you look like you're owning this space. Have you ever done a singing competition before? Yeah, I was actually on American Idol in 2022 and I placed top five What was that experience like on American Idol? It was a lot of covers Yeah, and a lot of just other artists songs, which is always fun But as soon as I came home I took the time to really hone into what I do and start writing and start creating for myself Yeah, and that's why I'm here. I'm just ready to share with Canada since I've grown since the American Idol experience Well, what an experience for an 18 year old girl And what has been your biggest struggle in getting here to Canada's Got Talent today? I struggled with anxiety So the mental battle with myself about how much it means to me. Yeah Does songwriting help you with some of that? Yeah Whenever I'm having kind of my moment or a little you know a bad day we'll call it I turn to writing and I actually I'm gonna share a song with you guys that I wrote about my story and Everything that I've been through kind of put together in a little song and put out in the world.
