There is my marker. Let's take one, two, three steps.
So this is my studio and it's in a complete mess.
Let's fix that, shall we?
To catch you up, my husband Pat and I have recently decided to switch home offices.
My old DIY studio has now become a cozy man cave and this room will become my new studio.
But before we can make it pretty, we have to organize all of this.
This is the new Eva corner.
Compared to my previous studio, I've made a few changes.
I had to shrink down the overall length so my pegboard is now half the size.
To compensate for that, I got the taller Eva posts
to be able to store things all the way up to the ceiling.
Since I used to be really bothered by how cluttered all the wood on top looked,
I really like the fact that I can't see them as obviously now.
I've already made a lot of progress organizing this Eva corner,
but today I would like to get it all done.
So let's get to work.
The last two things on my list for this Eva corner are
setting up a charging station for my tools and organizing smaller offcuts in this rolling crate.
With that, the Eva corner is complete
and we can move on to the plaza wall.
Over on this wall, these are IKEA plaza cabinets.
They are for storing craft supplies, bulkier items and larger pieces of leftover wood.
You might notice some holes and the fact that there are no doors.
That's because I've been waiting for over a month to use these IKEA coupons and today is the day.
There was nothing available in the circular zone and the taller doors were sold out.
So I'm going to have to drive to another IKEA another day to get them.
But it's okay, we can finish up one cabinet at least for today.
Are you gonna help me?
Yeah?
Are you gonna be the best assistant?
Let's go!
Good girl!
If you would like to see how I organized this entire studio,
there will be an exclusive video for channel members coming up right after this one.
For the past four years, I have been working on the dining table,
doing all my editing and even DIYs.
It's been totally fine, especially when Juno cuddles up next to me.
I found myself sitting too much, so I think it's finally time to have a proper standing desk.
A big thank you to Flexispot for gifting me the E7 Pro standing desk.
I timed myself setting up this desk and it took just under 25 minutes.
I will just be adding my monitor for now,
but the E7 Pro desk supports up to 180kg in load,
so it's able to accommodate all kinds of work setup.
The C-shaped legs give you more leg room.
I chose them in a white finish and paired them with a maple table top,
which comes in a really nice warm tone and smooth round edges.
The touchscreen LED display comes with memory settings for customized height preferences,
and the dual-powered motor system provides a smooth and stable height adjustment.
Even our Totoro roly-poly isn't shaking one bit.
You can also easily organize cords with the included cable accessories like the tray,
and a magnetic cover hides away all the hardware for a tidy look.
I'm super excited to use this new desk, so let's continue to make this the pretty corner.
Without a doubt, my favourite thing from the previous studio was the adjustable track shelving,
so it definitely needs to be installed in this new space as well.
I'm calling it the pretty corner because I want the shelves to be filled with all the things I love.
To install the vertical tracks, I'm using a laser level to get everything level and straight.
I think what makes a room really shine is all the small details that go into it,
like really thinking about where to add lighting to provide the coziest ambience,
organizing cords and cables so that the space looks extra tidy,
and finding ways to add functional decor that double up as storage.
I'm extremely excited for this new space,
and I also want to give a huge shout out to the channel members to whom this video is dedicated to.
Thank you so much for rooting me on and supporting what I do.
