'Very exciting!' Verstappen on contract extension at Red Bull

Yeah, quick update. While enjoying the holidays, of course, we also were talking in the background and we've decided to extend the contract with the team. So I'm of course very pleased with that. Yeah, the discussions have been good and I mean, I feel really at home here. Plus, you know, getting to work with Laurent now for over a year, it's been, for me, it is very very straightforward and very enjoyable. So to be able to then agree on a new deal is really nice. It's like a second family for me. And of course, I came into this team hoping for, you know, being able to win races and that we have won four titles together. Plus, of course, working again towards that goal. Yeah, it's something that is, of course, very exciting. And yeah, that's why, of course, I feel at home here. You know, I'm just very happy with the extension. I hope the team is as well. But no, I'm of course very happy. And yeah, hopefully, you know, we can just keep working together and try to get back to the top. The most important is to have fun. Second of all, try and win the races again. I mean, this is the last race in Zandvoort. So with, let's say, all the talks about the final race, at least, yeah, I'm extending a bit longer in the sport. So that's, I guess, positive. But first of all, because I also want to really enjoy the weekend in Zandvoort and try to give the fans, hopefully, something special. Look, it's an incredible news. It's a phenomenal news for the team, for Formula 1 and perhaps even more globally for sports in general. Max and Auracarable Racing are going to be together up until at least the end of 2030. It gives us the best driver in the world to continue the incredible journey he has been having with his team in the last 10 years, to continue up to season 12 to 15 with the team, which I'm sure will become an even more successful partnership than what it is already.
