The most challenging part of the project is that I have to leave and it's only one day.
I'm having such a good time.
What's happening here at A in some ways feels like a little miracle.
We have over a hundred students in high school who are making one film.
My name is Bella Kelman.
I'm Nico.
I'm Finn.
I'm from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, and I came to San Francisco to be a part of 48 Hills.
I'm an auteur director.
I'm part of the art team here.
They painted about 200 feet of sky.
They built eight buildings and this was a town that they imagined as the setting for this film they wanted to make.
I just got to see all these little clips and videos of the model town being sort of erected
and all the beautiful energy that was going into building everything
and I kind of fell in love with the idea of the whole process.
So much of young filmmaking is learning in classrooms and learning about the technicalities of it,
like how to use cameras and cinematography,
but I think to actually get to use what you've learned to make a project on this scale is very exciting.
Two days ago I spent for the first time 12 hours in the set
and it was the most magical thing in my entire life.
To those who are in charge of the camp, maybe you should start an adult one. Thank you.
