Hi there, thank you for joining me today in my garden.
Today I just wanted to do a walkabout of my garden in July just to see what's in bloom
and just an overall view of some of the gardens that I have in my backyard.
So this morning I want to start off with my back patio. In this part of my patio I just have some
planters. I have some hydrangeas, some arboreal trees that I've created. I also have some
plants that I've purchased on sale for some projects for later this summer. In the back
I have a sublime hydrangea. It's so beautiful, that lime color really really shines in this
parched shade of my garden. I also have a flower full in the back as well as a less dense can do.
And in the front of this bed I have a lot of hydrangeas. I have these are aribas.
So I have a few aribas and here's another look at the sublime. This was planted at the end of
last summer. And here's another view of some of the planters. Beautiful hosta and coles that I
grew by seed. I have a less dense sky view as well as a wee bit giddy and a top fun hydrangea in front.
Now here I have two bobos. Sorry for the sunshine it was really bright out. This was around seven
o'clock this morning. Right here I have my limelight prime with a balloon flower and a
short white phlox. And here's a little view down that border of the garden. The limelight prime
panicles are so beautiful. They're later blooming but there are some that are filling out. This is
a little lime punch. This is one of my favorite shorter hydrangeas. And to the left here in my
arbor bed this is a little hottie hydrangea. I'll do another walk through of my hill garden bed
as well as my left shade garden because it was extremely bright right now so the sun wasn't
cooperating. And here's a view of my zinfandel hydrangea. It's kind of morphed into a standard.
It's um was having a hard time thriving but it's starting to look a little bit better this summer.
I have some blue veronica, some lambs here, that's a limetta hydrangea there,
strawberry sundae hydrangea, some more lambs here, and that's the lemon perfection nepeta
with that chartreuse nepeta. And there's some more a better look at some of the hydrangeas.
In the back that's a pinky winky hydrangea and a diamond rouge by First Editions.
And there's my old school Annabelle and there's a quick firefab on the hill.
And here's a backup shot of my arbor garden bed. Again these hydrangeas in the front they're all
little hotties but these ones on the left always grow bigger and more robust than the ones on the
right. I'm not sure why. I have these garden beds um they're the exterior are danica arbs
and in front I created two arb lollipop topiaries. In the back I have degroots close
to degroot arbs on the outside of my arbor. And this is a quick view of my side garden bed.
I think I'll do another walkabout with more details of those gardens. And here's my arbor
my arbor garden beds. I just wanted to take you on a walk through. So I have some skyview
hydrangeas and I also have two wee white hydrangeas. But I think I'm going to be
moving these to my front side garden bed where they get a little bit more shade.
And here's a view of another garden on the left side of my patio.
This is the tiny tough stuff. It's one of my favorite uh varieties in the tough stuff line.
And here is my incredible hydrangea. It had a lot of flopping. This year we had a lot of rain.
And this is one of my favorite. This is a little quickfire. It's already turning pink. It's one
of the first panicle hydrangeas to bloom and change color in my garden. Beside it is a little line.
It's not that little but it's gorgeous. And in front I have a munchkin oak leaf hydrangea. It
was supposed to be two to three feet tall. We had such a harsh winter. That's the only bloom
that's on that hydrangea this year. And here's a planter I have with a bobo standard and some
there's a cool jazz super vista. And here's a planter with some
geraniums and miracles I grew from seed from swallowtail seeds. And in these pots I created
two dwarf alberta spruce double ball topiaries. And again on the left I have a pufferfish hydrangea
and on the right is a lime little lime punch. Thank you for joining me today in this walkabout
in my backyard garden for late July. Hope to see you next time. Thanks for watching.
