Taylor Swift Calls Out the White House I first want to say thank you to the fans because in this video, several points were made. Taylor wasn't just there to accept an MTV award. She used the biggest stage of the night to say something she clearly wasn't supposed to keep quiet about. Which basically just says we all deserve equal rights under the law. Taylor had launched a petition calling for the Equality Act, pushing for equal legal protections for LGBTQ plus people. And I want to thank everyone who signed that petition because it now has half a million signatures. And by the time she stood on that stage, the petition had already passed half a million signatures, giving Taylor one very good reason to bring it up. Which is five times the amount that it would need to warrant a response from the White House. Taylor Swift Claps Back at Trump I always have to bring up everything that could go sideways, everything that we need to expect. Taylor has never been afraid to speak her mind, even when the person listening happens to be the President of the United States. Number one, the President can come after you. It all started when Taylor publicly endorsed Kamala Harris, and Trump definitely had something to say about it. I am very proud to have the support of Taylor Swift. She's an incredible artist. And Kamala's reaction made it pretty obvious that she wasn't exactly complaining about the support. The courage that she has had in her career to stand up for what she believes is right. Of course, everyone gets to make their own choice. But this one definitely got people talking. And what did she say? I'm not Marcia Blackburn. And Trump wasn't exactly going to let Taylor's endorsement slide quietly. He doesn't know anything about her. And let's say that I like Taylor's music about 25% less now.
