Great Kiskadee - Pitangus sulphuratus

The Great Kiskadee is a bold and familiar flycatcher, instantly recognisable by its loud, distinctive call, often heard in towns and cities across much of its range. The bird’s English name is thought to mimic this three-syllable call — kis-ka-dee — although the sound can sometimes be reduced to a single sharp note. Great Kiskadees build large, untidy nests made from sticks and grasses, constructed cooperatively by both the male and female.
